The greatest and most obvious of the changes were to his Physical Stats. They had all more than doubled, a change that Sylas hadnʼt been expecting in the slightest.

He thought there would be a slight improvement, but he didnʼt think for a single instant that a Fragmented Class would help him like this.

But then he saw the change to his Race.

Human Simioid.

—

[What is a Human Simioid?]

[A Human Simioid is a rare Race of mutated Humans that have begun to return to their origins—]

[Question has touched upon a Taboo. Glutton Curse activated. Hunger has increased.]

[Madness Key (Treasure)]

[A key leading to a fortune of Madness. Detects other Madness Disciples and enlightens your path. Contains small spatial world within. Can answer one question in exchange for Gene]

[Curse Status: Glutton. Genes a day to maintain Happiness. Requirements grow by the day. remaining until Hunger increases]

[Curse Status: Cannot be unequipped]

Sylasʼ eye twitched.

What was this? He was nowhere near this amount of Genes needed just moments ago. The Madness Key had still been asking for Common Genes after the reset. Why the enormous jump?

Was it more Taboo than usual? Or was it that the penalty for touching Taboos was harsher now that he was a Level 2 Madness Disciple?

ʼIt shouldnʼt be the latter… though it might still be in small part. Iʼve touched on Taboos before since becoming a Level 2 Madness Disciple, and the reaction to things was never this fierce.ʼ

Now that Sylas could commune with the Mesh of Reality too, he also felt what was happening more intimately. The Taboo penalty was the Madness Key protecting him against the ire of the impotent system. If that was the case, whatever this was…

The system really, really, really didnʼt like it.

Sylas stood to his feet slowly, adjusting to his new strength. He looked down at his palm, drawing a thumb across the claw of his forefinger.

His skin was cut as easily as if he had drawn a sharp blade across it.

ʼMy Constitution with the Scorned Wraps is almost 14 000… Ah, I see…ʼ

Sylasʼ claws were part of his body; they grew out from him. That meant that his Constitution obviously applied to them as well. In fact, not just them… his hair as well.

Whatever molecular changes had happened to these parts of his body had been amplified several times over due to the existence of the Scorned Wraps.

This was all to say… this was the power of a Gene Class.

He had changed fundamentally, and the tweaks to his foundation were so profound that everything else gained an enormous boost along with it. Including…

His Demonic Will.

There was a flash of darkness in Sylasʼ green irises and his telekinesis moved. He opened up a palm and pushed down.

The water violently spread apart on its own, a palm slamming into the ground and leaving an imprint in the stone.

ʼHow many pounds of force was that… 20 000?ʼ

His telekinesis had somehow gained a 10x increase in its weight output. When it moved now, it was as though some 20 000-pound behemoth was rushing out.

Imagine being slammed into with 1000 Speed by a 20 000-pound boulder. The Effectiveness of such Strength would easily be countless times beyond what the stats showed.

If his telekinesis was like this now, then what could he accomplish once he began to peel through the layers of Arcane Telekinesis? How much improvement would he be able to make? How much stronger would his telekinesis scale?

At this point, he was slowly encroaching on the power of a hydraulic press with just his telekinesis alone. Of course, there were some that could exert millions of pounds of force and he was eons away from that, but he could certainly match up against the smallest of them.

But that also put things into perspective…

Even Earth had been able to create something that could exert millions of pounds of pressure with their ʼprimitiveʼ technology. Just what was out there in the world? How much more room did he have to improve? Just what other mountains could he climb?

Sylas clenched and unclenched his fists, his forearms rippling with a wave of thunderous tendons and veiny muscles.

He wanted more. He wanted to see what else there was.

And he wanted to have the strength to control it all.

It was time to return.

But what Sylas didnʼt expect was that things werenʼt necessarily over.

…

The Skai Galaxy trembled once more. For the first time in years, the Titans Leaderboard had a shift at the very top.
