Chapter 2639: Searching for the White Tiger Seer

Five shadows formed into humanoid beings as they have searched the western area of the eastern continent. The western area is full of rugged mountains and difficult terrain that it would have been impossible to traverse this unless you use the main road. The fact that the Seer of the White Tiger of the West has yet to be found is already astonishing because it could only mean two things.

”Either she is already in a safe zone, and she did not even think to check on the citizens of White City, or she already died.” Awraka stated as she was the one leading this search for the Seer of the White Tiger of the West.

”We tried the scrying spell that we can use but there are no wandering human spirits in the area.” One of the dark elf players stated.

The shadow unit as they call it are the intelligence unit of the Patheon guild that operates in the dark. Most of them are races that could use darkness or have great spell mastery over darkness. They were once dark elves but some of them changed when the Erebian race became available. Now, the shadow unit is composed of vampires, werewolves, dark elves, and a Nightshade as their leader.

They also use death attribute spells that can detect life or freshly dead souls in the area. These spells were easy to use and teach to them as they are fervent followers of the gods of death. As long as one had belief strong enough then they could also use spells from the death element category.

”Maybe she died a log time from where they last saw her. It has been a few days, and the scrying spell only works on souls of the newly deceased.” A vampire player stated.

”If she has died then the Seers from the other divine beasts would have told our guild leader. They could see that the Seer of the White Tiger of the West is still alive which means that she must be hiding somewhere. Somewhere only someone gifted like her could survive until she knows that the enemies are no longer searching for her.” Awraka stated.

”We already searched the forest area but there were no traces of human living conditions.” The werewolf player stated.

”You should remember that the White Tiger of the West was not an actual tiger that is the King of the Jungle. It is a Divine Beast that has command over the metals around it. Wait! Metal! Have all of you encountered caves where there is a metallic scent?” Awraka stated in excitement as she thinks that this might be their lead.

”Nope.” The vampire player stated.

”I did not encounter one.” The werewolf player stated.

”I only passed through caves where monsters were present.” The dark elf player stated.

”I think I found one. I passed through a cave where there was a very strong smell of iron that I even thought it was from blood.” The second vampire player stated as she remembers that smell since she believed that it falsely triggered her vampiric sense.

”Hurry! Let us go!” Awraka stated as the second vampire player led them to the cave she encountered.

”Maybe my blood sense activated because there really was a trace of blood in that area. I am really new to this vampire thing because I was a dark elf before.” The second vampire player stated.

”No need to apologize because we are basically searching for a needle in a haystack at this point. Let us just hope that the Seer of the White Tiger of the West is really there.” Awraka stated as they blitzed towards the cave.

”Urgh!” The Seer of the White Tiger of the West grunted as she chanted a spell to block her blood from overflowing.

The Seer of the White Tiger of the West could be seen heavily injured because she was being pursued by an Immortal Assassin hired by the Chiyou. This Immortal Assassin did not know that his employer has been killed off and revived because he has been tracking the Seer of the White Tiger of the West for quite a while. He is the type of assassin that does not return unless the head of the enemy is in his hands.

The Immortal Assassin licked the blood on his curved blade and used it to sense his victim. The blood sensing was a bit disoriented because the Seer of the White Tiger of the West fled to a cave where iron is abundant. The smell of iron confuses even the sharp senses of a trained assassin. The Immortal Assassin did not find it bothersome though as he is someone that relishes when his victims squirm and struggle for survival.

”Ahhh! My Dao of Torture is increasing more and more because of this hunt. I might be able to achieve enlightenment if I torture her more. I will pick out each of her organs one by one before I hand her over to Chiyou. Strange though... he has not yet contacted me with the talisman I gave him.

Did he already forgot he hired me because I have not been back for days? If that is the case, then maybe I shall hunt my employer after this. No...no...no... Chiyou is much stronger than me for now, but I might become stronger than him when I torture this target. She is a Seer after all, and they have abundant energy in their bodies. Ahh! The excitement is killing me!” The Immortal Assassin stated as he shivered and pricked his palm with his other blade.

The Seer of the White Tiger of the West headed deeper into the cave as she believed there is a Hard Spring in this very cave. The Hard Spring is basically a pool of water where all metallic elements have been collected. All the metal energy in the natural minerals present have created a pool with condensed metal energy and it could heal her in one go.
