Chapter 2097: Chapter 2097: The Husband and Wife Fight

”Dear, what should we do when they come later?” Mei Chung asked Shu Lang again.

Shu Lang could not answer it. Thinking about the call that he made to Song Tao, he could not help but regret it. He regretted being so arrogant when talking to Song Tao on the call.

”This is your fault.” Shu Lang blamed his wife.

”What?” Mei Chung could not believe her ears.

”If only you listen to me, go to apologize and pay some compensation to the greenhouse, we would have done with the matter.” Shu Lang stated.

”You blame me?” Mei Chung glared at Shu Lang.

”Of course, you tell me that Bai Cooperation is willing to help us but now what?” Shu Lang continued to blame Mei Chung.

They were in the middle of arguing when someone came knocking on their door. Shu Lang planned not to go and open the door. But to his surprise, his stupid brother-in-law went ahead and opened the door for the people outside.

”Are you Mr Shu Lang?” The person asked.

”No...” Mei Guang shook his head.

Shu Lang wanted to give the signal to Mei Guang to not tell the people about him in the house. But Mei Guang seemed not getting the message.

”He is inside.” Mei Guang said.

”Can we come in?” The person asked.

”Yes... Yes... Come in.” Mei Guang nodded.

Shu Lang felt like he wanted to beat his brother-in-law. Not only did his brother-in-law let someone into his house but his brother-in-law even called for his name.

”Shu Lang, someone wants to me you.” Mei Guang stated.

Because Shu Lang did not have time to leave, he had to be present. He did not want to face these people alone. So, he pulled his wife too.

”Mr Shu Lang...” The person greeted Shu Lang. Then he turned to Mei Chung. ”You must be his wife, Mrs Shu, Mei Chung.”

Mei Chung seemed to get the wrong idea. She thought these people were from Bai Cooperation who would help them face the people from Qinyue Group.

”Wait, did you call us that you are not coming to help us? But I am relieved, that after calling us earlier, you came to your senses and came to help us. Then, we will rely on you to help us to fight with Qinyue Group.” Mei Chung said.

The statement from Mei Chung stunned not only these people but also her husband as well. Shu Lang could not process his thoughts on how Mei Chung thought that these people were from Bai Cooperation after they literally called her one hour ago telling her that they would not be coming.

”It seems Mrs Shu made a mistake here. Let me introduce myself and my partner here. I am Ming Xuehai and this is Shao Weiyuan. We are the lawyer from Qin Ming Law Firm representing Qinyue Group on hand matter.” Ming Xuehai stated.

Mei Chung froze. ʼSo, they are not from Bai Cooperation but Qinyue Group.ʼ

Shu Lang apologized for his wifeʼs mistake.

”Hmm... We will take the compensation as we said before. Just donʼt sue us.” Shu Lang said. ”However, according to Mr Song, you called him yesterday telling him that you would never be paid the compensation and would like to see us at court.” Ming Xuehai said.

”No... No... We change our mind.” Shu Lang said shaking his head.

”Even so, Mr Song already requested us to open the case. We already submitted to the court and the court agreed to hear our case. We are here to give you the letter. You need to come to the court on the required date. The date had been written in this letter.” Ming Xuehai placed the envelope on the table.

”What?” Shu Lang trembled. ʼHow can they already get the date? Does the court have nothing to do?ʼ

Ming Xuehai seemed to know what Shu Lang had thought. He smiled and stated. ”Our chairman requested to the court.”

Shu Lang was panicked. Yu Qi made her move.

”Since we have completed our task here, we will excuse ourselves first. Remember to come to the court on the required date.” Ming Xuehai said.

Shu Lang did not send them off. Even Mei Chung did not move at all. The time seemed to freeze. It was only Mei Guang who spoke to them, they snapped back to reality.

”We are finished... We are finished.” Shu Lang repeated the words.

”What should we do? What should we do?” Mei Chung also repeated the words but not the same as Shu Lang.

”We should not do it in the first place. Yes. It is your fault.” Shu Lang blamed Mei Chung.

”You dare to blame me? You know I changed the contract but you did not care. Because of what? Because it could bring you the money too. And because you think the greenhouse has no backing at all. You are greedy too.” Mei Chung fought back.

”I know. But after knowing YQ Greenhouse had Qinyue Group as its backing, I gave up. But you got our hopes up by telling us that you also had Bai Cooperation as your backing. In the end, they abandoned you. And you did not even have any evidence that they promised to help us. Otherwise, we can push the blame on Bai Cooperation insisting that they were the ones who orchestrated the whole thing.” Shu Lang said.
