Chapter 2096: Chapter 2096: Could Not Get The Help That They Wanted

”Call Mang Hen right now.” Bai Xia Fang said to the secretary.

The secretary nodded and rushed out. A few minutes later, Mang Hen came with his assistant. His assistantʼs legs became soft when he saw all of the shareholders inside the meeting room. Mang Hen also knew that they were about to be cooked.

”Mang Hen, explain what happens now.” Bai Xia Fang said.

Mang Hen took a deep breath before answering. ”Sir, the earlier hackers had left some viruses before they left. The viruses attacked our system and corrupted our data.”

”And what are you doing not stopping the virus?” Bai Kang asked.

”Sir, the viruses that they left are not a common virus. I suspect those viruses are new and have not been found everywhere else. That is why we can not prevent the viruses from ruining our system.” Mang Hen explained.

”You are the first class expert that we hired. How can you be unable to tackle those viruses?” Bai Jian asked.

”I am sorry.” Mang Hen apologized.

He was unable to tackle the viruses. Even his team could not do anything. The hackerʼs level was too high and powerful for them.

”100 million US Dollars and this problem... It seems they really want to get us to go down.” Bai Bojing said.

”Mang Hen, go and try to recover as many as you can.” Bai Xia Fang said.

”Yes, Sir.” Mang Hen nodded.

”Donʼt be so happy. Your department will get the punishment later.” Bai Xia Fang added.

”Yes, Sir.” Mang Hen nodded.

He and his assistant left the room.

”Boss, it is not our fault that someone powerful attacked the company. They must have offended someone recently.” The assistant protested.

”So? What do you think we have to do? We are just the employees. Letʼs do our best.” Mang Hen said.

His assistant sighed. Yes. They were just employees. What the company wanted, they had to follow and do it.

”So, what should we do right now?” Bai Bojing asked.

”Yes, losing 100 million US Dollars and our system is very bad for our company.” Bai Kang sighed.

”Letʼs report this incident to the police.” Bai Shu Jin suggested.

Bai Jian frowned. ”We can not do it. It would ruin our good image.”

”Why are you suggesting that?” Bai Xia Fang wanted to hear the explanation for the suggestion.

”By reporting the incident to the police, we will able to get the policeʼs help. Showing that we are a good company that had been robbed by someone and was willing to cooperate with the police to capture the bad man.” Bai Xia Fang stated.

Everyone was silent thinking about the idea. At last, Bai Xia Fang agreed with that.

”We also need to contact our partners, suppliers and subcontractors informing them about the corrupt system. Ask them for their understanding if we cannot pay them on time for the time being.” Bai Shu Jin added.

Everyone nodded as they heard Bai Shu Jinʼs suggestion. As expected the one who would be the next in charge of the company, his suggestions for the current situation were good.

Bai Jian gritted her teeth while smiling. She could not stand Bai Shu Jin to be more outstanding compared to Bai Yu.

”That is for now. The meeting is adjourned.” Bai Xia Fang said.

....

Mei Chung tried to call the person who was willing to help them fight with the Qinyue Group several times. But that person did not answer her call.

She became agitated. She tried sending a text message to that person. She got a reply saying that he could not help her anymore. She was on her own. Mei Chung lost it.

Shu Lang noticed Mei Chungʼs reaction. So, he asked. ”What happened?”

”I tried to call the person who promised to help us but he does not pick up my calls. So, I tried to text him. This is what I get.” Mei Chung said.

She showed the text messages that she got from the person. Shu Lang was startled. If this person could not help them anymore, they could not fight the Qinyue Group.

”Dear, what should we do now?” Mei Chung asked her husband.

Shu Lang could not answer that.

Mei Guang visited his sister and his brother-in-law. He heard from his brother-in-law that the person from Qinyue Group would come today. So, he wanted to watch it. Seeing how confident his sister was yesterday, he knew that they would get back at Qinyue Group. However, when he arrived at their house, he was confused to see their state.

”What is going on?” Mei Guang asked.

Mei Chung did not answer him. So, Shu Lang had to answer.

”That person who promised to help Mei Chung backed off. He did not want to help us anymore. Brother-in-law, what should we do?” Shu Lang asked for Mei Guangʼs opinion. ”What? He can not do something like this. He had promised. Chung-er, do you have any official document stating that he would help you?” Mei Guang asked.

”No...” Mei Chung shook her head.

”Not even the text messages?” Mei Guahg asked again.

”No... He often calls me and speaks on the phone.” Mei Chung said.

Hearing the answer from Mei Chung, Mei Guang knew there was nothing that he could say about this. The verbal contract could not be used. He shook his head.

”There is nothing that we can do right now.” Mei Guang stated.
