1987  Chapter 1987: Asking For Help

The soldier who guarded the entrance already received the order that to allow Yu Qi to enter the military base without being checked. A soldier came over and led Yu Qi to the training ground. Yu Qi spotted Long Hui. It seemed he was giving some instructions to the soldiers. The soldiers also heard to what Long Hui said attentively. While she was staring at Long Hui, Long Hui turned around and smiled at her. She walked toward him. Everyone who knew Long Hui at this point already knew the identity of this beautiful woman. They were new soldiers. So, it was their first time seeing Yu Qi. ”Practice what I teach you earlier.” Long Hui said. ”Yes, Sir.” The soldier saluted Long Hui. Long Hui turned to Yu Qi. ”Letʼs go to my office.”

So, both of them walked to Long Huiʼs office. They were not stay in Long Huiʼs office but in the next room. It was a meeting room, Yu Qi guessed when she saw the large table and screen projector. They took their seats. ”What happen?” Yu Qi asked.

Before Long Hui had time to answer, someone appeared on the screen. It was President Hai. Yu Qi was surprised to see him on the screen. ”Hello, Miss Tang and Colonel Long.” President Hai said.

”Yes, Sir.” Long Hui saluted him. ”Hello, President Hai.” Yu Qi also greeted the person on the screen.

”Since both of you are here, I will politely request you about something.” President Hai stated.

”Is it okay for me to be here?” Yu Qi asked.

Yu Qi knew that they were about to discuss something regarding the government. So, she wondered if it was okay for her to stay here. She would stay over and wait until they were finished. ”You are also required to hear about this.” President Hai said.

”Oh... I see.” Yu Qi stated.

”I know that you guys are special human beings.” President Hai started to talk.

Long Hui and Yu Qi narrowed their eyes after hearing that statement. President Hai noticed it. He was smiling. ”I donʼt plan to threaten you guys about that. I want to ask you for help.” President Hai said.

”Help? About what?” Long Hui raised his eyebrow.

”What?” Both Long Hui and Yu Qi were shocked. ”Why donʼt you not report to the police about this matter?” Long Hui asked.

”They called me saying if I want my daughter to be alive and safe, then donʼt call the police. In fact, the police will be lose against these group.” President Hai sighed.

”Then, go to the Security Forces.” Long Hui suggested. ”It is useless too. Because they are not a normal human being. They are like you guys.” President Hai said.

”What do you mean?” Long Hui narrowed his eyes. ”I know that you are cultivators. A human being yet quite has amazing traits and very strong.” President Hai stated the ”Cultivatorsʼ word very clear. ”How do you know about this, President Hai?” Yu Qi asked.

”I heard about the terms from my late grandfather. At first, I was skeptical about that. However, my grandfather kept talking about the cultivators this, cultivators that. He also talked about this cultivation world. That is how I know about the cultivators.” President Hai stated.

”Then, why do you know about us?” Long Hui asked.

”Apparently, my great-grandfather was a cultivator himself and even though I am not inherit the ability to be a cultivator like my great-grandfather, I still can sense the aura emitting from your bodies that one time.” President Hai stated.

”When we saved you from the attempt assassination?” Yu Qi asked for the confirmation.

”Yes. At that time, I just ignored it. Since you did not use it for doing something evil, I donʼt care much about that. So, I keep my silence. However, this time, my daughter is kidnapped by the cultivators. They told me that my daughterʼs body is special. They wants to do some experiment on my daughter. I donʼt know who to rely on. Then, I remembered you guys. That is why I contact you right now.” President Hai tried to hold back his feeling.

”So, they donʼt know you contacting us?” Long Hui asked.

”Yes. It seems they are watching me when I am at work and when I meet with someone. However, I donʼt think they care much about me contacting someone because they think there is no one could do anything to them because they are cultivators. They are stronger than normal human beings.” President Hai stated.

”How about your wife? Is she know about this kidnapping?” Yu Qi remembered meeting with his wife. She was so gentle and kind. ”No. I just tell her that our daughter is traveling around the world. I donʼt dare to tell her anything about the kidnapping. She might be worried and fainted. I donʼt want that happen.” President Hai looked hopeless. Which mother did not worried knowing her daughter had been kidnapped? Yu Qi remembered reading about one case where her daughter had been raped and murdered. During the court proceeding, the mother of the girl came into the courtroom and shot the perpetrator with threw shots. She killed the person who killed her daughter. She did not care about what happened after that. What she wanted was that perpetrator to die as well as like her daughter.
