Chapter 1570 1570: The Truth

”I am not joking though.” Grandpa Wei stated.

Grandma Wei went pale after hearing that. Everyone did not talk.

”Nie Zhu Mei, you should know why I am divorcing you.” Grandpa Wei used Grandma Weiʼs full name.

Grandma Wei understood when Grandpa Wei used the full name, it meant he was very angry. However, she did not understand why Grandpa Wei suddenly wanted to divorce her.

”No... No... I donʼt understand. Why do you want to divorce me? No. You can not do this to me.” Grandma Wei shook her head.

”You donʼt know what I am talking about? Then, Chi Yuan, if I say that name, you will understand, right?” Grandpa Wei snorted.

Grandma Wei was shocked. How did he know about that? It should a secret.

”Your face told it is the truth.” Grandpa Wei laughed. ”I thought it was a lie.”

”Jingzhe, listen, I can explain.” Grandma Wei said.

Wei Zichen felt he and his wife should not be here. He whispered to Feng Ni Lan to leave the living room. Feng Ni Lan just agreed and followed Wei Zichen.

”What to explain? I already know everything.” Grandpa Wei said.

”I...” Grandma Wei wanted to talk.

Grandpa Wei cut her off again. ”You cheated on me with Chi Zhengzhong. I was working hard as an embassy staff to improve our financial situation at that time. But what did I get, a betrayal from you.” He was very sad.

”No, please listen to me. It was a mistake.” Grandma Wei said.

”No wonder you love that Chi girl so much. She is your granddaughter.” Grandpa Wei added.

”It is not like that.” Grandma Wei shook her head.

”I will prepare the paper. You need to sign it. We will separate everything equally in terms of assets. I will discuss it with my lawyer.” Grandpa Wei stated.

He was not so evil to take everything. Grandma Wei helped him to take care of the family for so long. He appreciated that.

”Jingzhe, I donʼt want to divorce. You can not do this to me. I know I was wrong. But it was only for one time.” Grandma Wei said.

”You already know that child was not mine. But you still continue that pregnancy. If not because Chi Zhengzhongʼs child died when his wife was giving birth to him, that child might be registered as mine.” Grandpa Wei said.

Grandma Wei could not argue with that. When she knew that she was pregnant, she wanted to abort the child. However, when she went to the hospital, the doctor told her that it was not safe for her to do the abortion.

If she went through the abortion, she might not be able to get pregnant again. She went to ask Chi Zhengzhong about that.

Chi Zhengzhong suggested that she continued the pregnancy and gave birth. He also gave suggestions to Grandma Wei on what to do with the child.

Grandma Wei could register the child under Weiʼs family or give the child to the orphanage. At first, Grandma Wei was thinking to give the child to the orphanage. It would be better.

After carrying the child inside her stomach, she had an affection for the child. She did not want to send the child to the orphanage. She thought long and hard about that and decided to register the child as Wei Jingzheʼs child.

She continued the pregnancy in silence. No one knew about her pregnancy because she did not appear pregnant at all. Her stomach did not grow too big. She usually wore loose clothes. She always did not have morning sickness.

One day, she felt her stomach was hurting. She rushed to the hospital. She gave birth to a baby boy. She called Chi Zhengzhong to tell him about the news.

Coincidentally, Chi Zhengzhongʼs wife was also giving birth at the same time. However, there were some complications and her baby could not make it.

Chi Zhengzhongʼs wife could not accept this. She became crazy. Grandma Wei called Chi Zhengzhong at that time. Chi Zhengzhong went to see the baby.

When he saw the baby, he thought a great idea. He told Grandma Wei about his wife. Then she suggested that he would take this baby and raise him as his child.

At first, Grandma Wei did not want to agree. How could her child be given to someone else? However, Chi Zhengzhong talked to Grandma Wei. Grandma Wei reluctantly agreed with that.

So, the child was given to Chi Zhengzhongʼs wife. She immediately turned to normal. After two days of resting, Grandma Wei went to visit Chi Zhengzhongʼs wife.

Chi Zhengzhongʼs wife seemed to be happy with the child. Grandma Wei felt uncomfortable when seeing her child that she had been carrying in her stomach with another woman.

However, she hid her feeling and congratulated Chi Zhengzhongʼs wife. Chi Zhengzhongʼs wife thanked her for congratulating her. Grandma Wei felt ironic.

After, Grandma Wei also followed her childʼs growth. Her child grew up nicely and got married. He also had a child. And that child was Chi Yuan. That was why she loved Chi Yuan so much. Chi Yuan was her first granddaughter.

”I donʼt want to continue this marriage anymore.” Grandpa Wei was still with his earlier decision.

”Jingzhe, we have been together for such a long time. Can we continue this forever? I donʼt want to get a divorce.” Grandma Wei begged.
