Chapter 1553 1553: Grandma Shuʼs Birthday Party Part 1

After lunch, they decided to return home. They contacted Dian Ren Qi to inform him that they would return home first. Dian Ren Qi still wanted to spend time with his girlfriend. He would return home before the party started.

When they returned home, Dian Qi Qi pulled her Sister Yu Qi to go find their grandmother while Long Hui was also being pulled by Great-Grandpa Dian to their training ground.  Both of them were hopeless, so, they just followed their wishes.

Grandma Shu was reading something in her room when Dian Qi Qi and Yu Qi arrived.

”Why are you two here?” Grandma Shu put down the book that she had been reading.

She also signalled the maid to bring some tea for the girls.

”Grandmother, just now, when we were eating lunch at Rising Dragon Restaurant, some people came to us and claimed that they are our maternal great-grandparents.” Dian Qi Qi informed Grandma Shu.

Grandma Shu narrowed her eyes. ”Oh...”

”They told us to pay them some respect.” Dian Qi Qi continued. ”Of course, we refused. How could we just give our respect to some random people? And a woman told us that she could teach us some manners and wanted to slap Sister Yu Qi. However, that man, Long Hui stopped her. After that, they had been dragged out of the restaurant.”

”It has been a long time since I heard about them. So, they are still alive.” Grandma Shu commented.

”Grandma, are they really your parent?” Yu Qi asked.

”Well... He is... But she is not.” Grandma Shu stated.

”You mean...” Yu Qi was quite surprised to hear about this.

”Yeah... He married that woman right after my mother passed and brought two children that were one year younger than me.” Grandma Shu told them.

”What? That bastard? Meaning he had been cheating on maternal great-grandmother all along.” Dian Qi Qi was triggered when she heard about this.

”Indeed. That woman wanted to push me down and wanted her daughter to replace me but I was a very talented person in the young generation of that family. So, the elders were reluctant to do that. But that woman did not give up and schemed against me. I fought back by kicking that man down from the leadership but gave the position to his younger brother.” Grandma Shu felt proud to tell her story to her granddaughters.

”Wow, Grandma, you are awesome. He deserved that.” Dian Qi Qi gave her thumb up to Grandma Shu.

Yu Qi also thought the same. Pulling her father from the leadership position and giving to her uncle. What a great move.

”You donʼt need to care about them if they come and find you anymore. I will handle them for you.” Grandma Shu smiled.

”Okay... Okay... We will leave first, Grandma. See you at the party. You can expect a good present from me.” Dian Qi Qi winked at her grandmother.

”I will go out, Grandma.” Yu Qi smiled.

....

The guest kept arriving. They used the teleportation device that was attached to the invitation card that they received.

The guests had been guided to the hall where the party would go to hold. Grandpa Dian invited a lot of people from the cultivation world for his wife. Only a few of them were from the outside world.

The guests greeted each other when they saw the acquaintance. They were also served some drinks and appetizers first.

”Qingsheng, take care of your family here. Donʼt let them cause any trouble here.” Shu Zedong reminded Shu Qingsheng and his family to behave when they were here.

Shu Zedong was Shu Qingshengʼs younger brother. He was the current leader of Shu Family. Grandma Shu invited Shu Family to her party. Shu Qingsheng knew about that and wanted to bring his family to the party too.

Since Grandma Shu did not say anything about that, Shu Zedong allowed Shu Qingsheng to bring his family too as long as he could take care of his family and did not cause any trouble here.

Shu Zedong heard about Shu Qingsheng, his wife and his daughter got kicked out of the restaurant earlier. However, he did not know about the detail.

”I know. You donʼt need to worry about me.” Shu Qingsheng snorted.

”Well, I worried not only you but your family especially that daughter of yours. Take care of her so that she did not offend anyone here.” Shu Zedong reminded Shu Qingsheng again.

”Okay.” Shu Qingsheng rolled his eyes.

”Hello, everyone... Dian Ren Qi is here. I will be the one hosting this party. Without any further, letʼs welcome our main character for tonight.” Dian Ren Qi appeared on the stage holding the microphone.

Grandma Shu appeared while holding hands with her husband, Grandpa Dian followed by Great-Grandpa Dian.

Grandma Shu looked to the audience with effortless grace. She smiled gently.

”Thank you for coming to my celebration party tonight. I hope you will enjoy this party.” Grandma Shu said.

The party had started. A lot of people came, greeted and gave their presents to Grandma Shu. Grandma Shu smiled and thanked the people.

Then, it was Shu Familyʼs turn to give the present. Shu Zedong the leader of the Shu Family came forward with his family members.

”Wen, happy birthday. Wishing you a long life. It is nothing much but it is for you.” Shu Zedong said.

”Thank you, Uncle, for coming to my party and for this gift. I appreciate it.” Grandma Shu thanked Shu Zedong.
