The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2498: Speed beyond the Half Step Fourth Realm

As the defenses of the Immortal Nirvana Stronghold grew stronger and stronger, Cain remained completely immersed in his cultivation.

The Nirvana Flames revolved endlessly around his body, cycling through destruction and rebirth as the tempering process continued without interruption. Time passed quietly within the isolated tower, the outside world almost forgotten.

Two and a half months passed.

Finally, the last ember of flame ignited.

”RUMBLE!!!”

At that exact moment, a massive wave of pressure and energy exploded outward from the tower. The force was so immense that the entire stronghold trembled for a brief second, as if a giant had struck the ground beneath it.

Every warrior within the fortress felt it.

All eyes immediately turned toward the source of the disturbance.

Their gazes landed on the towering structure wrapped in golden and purple radiance.

Complicated expressions appeared on the faces of the Nirvana Crown Prince and the other members of the Royal Blutlinie.

That tower was the residence of the Red King.

Clearly, something significant had just happened inside.

However, no one dared approach the place. The Red King had made his intentions painfully clear—anyone who came near without permission would be killed without hesitation.

Even the Nirvana Crown Prince had chosen to respect that warning.

Therefore, no matter how much curiosity gnawed at their hearts, they could only suppress it.

Inside the tower, the situation was actually quite simple.

Cain had just broken through.

His body had ascended to the Late Alpha-Omega Overgod Rank, surpassing the limits of his previous Middle Alpha-Omega Overgod cultivation.

Cain clenched his fists as a surge of exhilaration filled his heart.

He could clearly feel the transformation within his body.

His vitality had risen dramatically, and his physical strength had reached a new level. For a Royal Blutlinie, those aspects were already extraordinary advantages.

Yet what excited him even more was something else.

His speed had improved.

Thanks to Apollo’s Speed, Cain had already been faster than most Limit Alpha-Omega Overgods. But now, after this breakthrough, he could feel that he had reached the boundary of the Half-Step Fourth Realm in terms of speed.

”If I activate Apollo Burst,” Cain muttered quietly, ”I might reach a speed that even the Nirvana Crown Prince or the Eternal Soul King would struggle to catch.”

The mere thought made his heart race.

And the improvements did not end there.

Cain focused on his vitality and the resilience of his body. His smile widened as realization dawned on him.

”This body should be strong enough to endure Fourth Realm Gear.”

If Apollo Burst alone could allow him to outrun figures like the Nirvana Crown Prince or Sharka, then even Cain found it difficult to imagine just how terrifying his speed would become if he unleashed the Asura Form at full power.

Even so, despite the excitement, Cain did not allow himself to lose focus.

There were still many things that needed to be done.

”Now that I have secured my strength,” Cain murmured, ”it is time to take the next step.”

In the next instant, his eyes glowed with a faint scarlet light as he established a connection with someone far away.

The barrier surrounding the stronghold was designed to cut off almost all forms of communication. Even karmic threads would be detected if someone attempted to use them.

But the Power of Chaos was far beyond the level that such defenses could suppress.

Not far from the volcanic mountain range that surrounded the stronghold, a scout of the Eternal Soul Kingdom suddenly felt his eyes glow faintly.

Inside his mind, a scarlet seed awakened.

That seed had been planted long ago during the period when the Red King rampaged across the continents. At the time, the man had been marked without even realizing it.

Fortunately for him, the scout now held the perfect position for what was about to happen.

The seed of Chaos Power unfolded inside his consciousness.

It rewrote his memories and subtly altered even the structure of his soul, weaving new experiences into his mind so seamlessly that they felt completely authentic.

To the scout, those memories had always belonged to him.

Back inside the tower, Cain slowly opened his eyes.

Once he was certain that everything had been arranged properly, he shifted his focus toward the vault of the Immortal Nirvana Stronghold.

Through his authority and the military credits he had earned, he began issuing commands to the Blutlinie responsible for managing the treasury.

The man in charge resembled a monstrous creature, his massive body covered in armored flesh and jagged spikes. His aura alone could frighten ordinary warriors into submission.

Yet the moment the voice of the Red King echoed inside his mind, the only thing that rose within his heart was fear.

Cain’s commands were simple.

Bring treasures.

Not ordinary treasures—but extraordinary ones.

Many of the items he demanded were so rare that even King-Level powerhouses would struggle to obtain them. However, the Red King’s accumulated military credits were absurdly high.

The Royal Blutlinie had already been instructed by the Nirvana Crown Prince to fulfill the Red King’s requests.

So he obeyed.

He gathered the treasures, packed them into massive crates, and personally oversaw their delivery to the tower.

Across the stronghold, countless eyes turned toward the convoy transporting those enormous containers.

Several members of the Royal Blutlinie secretly checked the vault records.

When they saw the list of treasures being removed, they clenched their teeth in frustration.

Some of those items were rewards they had spent years accumulating merits to obtain.

Now they were gone.

The situation was infuriating.

Yet not even the mightiest Royal Blutlinie within the stronghold was willing to provoke someone who had openly challenged the Nirvana Crown Prince—and then continued to walk around the fortress as if nothing had happened.

When the crates finally arrived near the tower, they were instantly wrapped in dense layers of karmic threads.

A moment later, they vanished.

Inside the tower, Cain calmly examined the contents.

He did not care in the slightest about the anger of the Royal Blutlinie outside.

Whenever he looked at them, the only thing he saw were Ancestor Drops waiting to be refined and consumed.

Pushing those thoughts aside, Cain inspected the treasures one by one.

A wide smile appeared on his face.

Many of the items were powerful healing resources capable of restoring vitality, repairing injuries, or replenishing vast amounts of energy.

”I will definitely need these,” Cain murmured.

He stored all of them inside his space ring.

Finally, his gaze shifted toward a large container holding hundreds of small orbs.

Each orb contained an Ancestor Drop.

Most of them belonged to fallen ArchDeities, but among them were nine Ancestor Drops belonging to Royal Blutlinie.

All of these had been collected from warriors who perished during the war.

Most had belonged to members of the Eternal Soul Kingdom, though a few had originated from the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom itself.

However, that hardly mattered.

Among Blutlinie, consuming the power of one’s own kind was not considered taboo.

After all, there was no reason to let such valuable treasures go to waste—no matter who they had once been. The word camarade meant nothing to them when it came to power.
