The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2492: You are the Red King

The Scarlet King took a deep breath as he placed his hand over the piece of armor. The moment his palm touched the cold metal, his eyes began to glow as the Power of Chaos awakened within him.

Slowly, carefully, his power seeped into the fragment of the Sacred Treasure.

This was a piece of Fourth Realm treasure. Normally, not even Ancestor Power could truly affect such an artifact. Its structure existed on a level far beyond the reach of ordinary laws.

Yet, to Cain’s surprise—and quiet satisfaction—the Power of Chaos once again proved capable of interfering with it.

The chaotic energy slipped between the microscopic layers of the artifact, probing its structure like an invisible tide. Through this connection, Cain could sense faint echoes of the other fragments scattered across the realm.

And more importantly, he could make this one susceptible to his influence.

Using the Power of Chaos as a channel, Cain slowly embedded another force into the treasure: the Power of Karma.

Thin strands of karmic energy flowed into the armor alongside fragments of his own soul.

The process was extraordinarily dangerous.

A mistake could lead to a violent backlash that could harm him considerably. Even maintaining the delicate balance between Chaos, Karma, and the artifact’s natural structure demanded absolute focus.

Yet Cain did not hesitate.

He remained inside the Time Lake for weeks, devoting every ounce of concentration to the task.

Day after day, the chaotic energy refined the fragment while karmic threads intertwined with its deeper structure. Slowly, imperceptibly, the armor began to accept Cain’s presence.

Finally, after weeks of painstaking work, Cain opened his eyes and withdrew his hand.

He looked at the chest armor fragment floating before him.

A wide smile spread across his face.

”It should work,” Cain muttered to himself. ”But I am dealing with beings capable of summoning the power of the Fourth Realm. Anything could happen.”

He paused for a moment before nodding firmly.

”Still, I choose to believe in myself.”

Cain turned his attention toward the laws of Paradise.

Immediately, he sensed something that caused his smile to widen.

”Finally.”

The power of the Realm Barrier had been enhanced.

The deeper one tried to descend through the realms, the harder the barrier became to cross. Now, the barrier separating the Eighth Realm from the Seventh had grown so powerful that passage should be virtually impossible.

Cain’s eyes gleamed with a dangerous light.

”Which means no one from the Seventh Realm can come down to interfere,” he murmured.

”And more importantly... no one from the Eighth Realm can escape.”

Everything was moving into position.

His plan was progressing exactly as he had intended.

But there was still much to do—and the most dangerous part was only beginning.

Cain turned toward the distant stronghold of the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom.

”If I want this to succeed,” he thought calmly, ”mystery will be my greatest weapon.”

If no one knew where the Red King truly came from, it would create a powerful layer of protection around him. The unknown was often more terrifying than any visible enemy.

The Nirvana Crown Prince would never recklessly challenge an unpredictable force while the Eternal Soul Kingdom was ready to strike at the slightest sign of weakness.

Cain raised a hand and gently touched the mask covering his face.

As his fingers brushed the surface, memories resurfaced in his mind.

He recalled the overwhelming aura projected by the incarnation of the Red King inside the Sacred Dimension.

That presence had been both terrifying and majestic—an existence that seemed to stand above fate itself.

Cain focused his entire will on recreating that feeling.

He suppressed his natural personality, forcing his mind and soul to imitate that cold, ominous presence.

”You are the Red King,” Cain whispered softly.

”You are the Red King.”

Again and again, he repeated the mantra, pushing his mind deeper into the role.

His thoughts grew quieter. His emotions slowed.

Unbeknownst to him, subtle reverberations spread through his Primordial Essence.

A faint wisp of the Power of Order began to emerge from his existence, spreading across the Time Lake. The normally chaotic waters gradually fell into perfect balance under that invisible influence.

But Cain noticed none of it.

For three entire days, he continued reshaping his mental state.

Finally, he opened his eyes.

In the next instant, he shot into the sky.

His gaze was calm—deep and endless, like a scarlet void. Every emotion within him was perfectly controlled, perfectly harmonized.

A streak of crimson light cut through the heavens as Cain flew across the sky.

He made no effort to hide his presence.

To anyone watching, it looked like a blazing red star tearing across the firmament.

His destination was unmistakable.

The stronghold of the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom.

Before long, the massive fortress appeared on the horizon.

The moment Cain entered its detection range, the stronghold reacted.

Brilliant lights erupted across its surface as countless defensive formations activated. A massive force field manifested around the fortress, layered with complex runic arrays and destructive energy cannons.

Each one locked directly onto Cain.

Ready to fire at a moment’s notice.

Cain’s eyes sharpened slightly as he observed the preparations.

Clearly, they were not welcoming him with open arms.

Still, he continued forward until his figure was clearly visible to everyone inside the stronghold.

The warriors of the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom stared at him with a mixture of awe and dread.

Rumors of the Red King’s power had already spread throughout the realm.

Even if his recent actions had targeted the Eternal Soul Kingdom, no one dared lower their guard.

Soon several Royal Blutlinie figures rose into the sky from the central castle.

Among them, Cain recognized Sanzon.

However, Sanzon was not leading the group.

That role belonged to a beautiful young woman standing at the front.

She had short hair, golden eyes, and an aura that clearly surpassed everyone around her.

Her presence radiated the authority of a true King-Level powerhouse.

The woman clenched her fists as she stared at the Red King.

The moment their eyes met, her heart trembled.

’Who is this monster...?’ she thought.

’And why did he have to appear now of all times?’

Despite the pressure crushing down on her, she forced herself to remain calm.

”I greet you, Red King,” she said respectfully.

She clasped her hands and performed a small bow—a shocking gesture given her status.

”I am Kyra, second in command of this fortress.”

”The Nirvana Crown Prince is unable to meet you at this moment. Therefore, I must request that you return tomorrow.”

”Then we can hold a proper discussion as allies.”

Cain heard every word.

Yet he remained completely silent.

Instead, he simply began walking forward through the sky.

Kyra frowned.

Her voice rose sharply as she shouted again, this time with far greater authority.

”I speak with the authority of the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom!”

”I demand that you leave!”

Unfortunately for her, the Red King showed no reaction whatsoever.

It was as if her words—and the entire fortress behind her—did not exist.

Kyra clenched her teeth.

Countless thoughts flashed through her mind before her expression finally turned cold and resolute.

She raised her hand.

Immediately, countless runic formations across the stronghold activated.

Within a single heartbeat, massive beams of destructive energy erupted from the fortress.

They shot through the sky like divine spears—

All aimed directly at the Red King.
