Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 838: The Turning Point. Part-3.

”Igon Schild... what’s the meaning of all this? Have you fallen so low that you colluded with miasma!? You are bringing shame to the entire shadow dragon race!!”

Looking at Igon, Allen realized everything in an instant.

’No wonder I fell for this clumsy trap; no wonder even my foresight ability didn’t work and I was completely unprepared... If it’s the shadow dragon race, it’s possible to hide it all...’

Shadow Dragons were one of the weakest dragons among the various dragon species that lived in the dragon valley, but recently a new SS-rank dragon had been born among them.

That SS rank shadow dragon gained power quickly and became the king of shadow dragons in no time!

Moreover, unlike the other dragon species that refused to help in the demon extinction war, shadow dragons actively joined the world alliance and helped the world alliance fight against demons.

For a long while Allen had considered the shadow dragon king as a true friend.

But that trust was broken today.

Igon, being one of the highest-ranking members of the world alliance and the king of shadow dragons, had betrayed the world alliance, leaked Allen and Bela’s location, set a trap for them, and had colluded with Miasma.

”Using miasma to block the influence of heavenly will, and using the innate shadow powers of the shadow dragon race to set up a trap for us... you have prepared very thoroughly, Igon!”

Hearing King Allen’s words, Igon shook his head and replied in a calm voice,

”I have betrayed no one, Allen. From the very beginning I am loyal only to my own people. I never cared about the life and death of you or your world alliance...”

”To me, only the shadow dragon race matters. I want to lead my race to prosperity and seek greater opportunities for them.”

”I want to bring them away from that abominable dragon valley where they have to suffer humiliation every single day!”

As Igon spoke, more and more powerful individuals started to appear one after another.

Dozens of SS rank demons and several Alliance members who had allied with Igon all surrounded Allen and Bela in a matter of a few milliseconds.

”Originally, I had placed my hopes on you, Allen. I thought that as a chosen of heaven, you would lead the world to prosperity, and my people would have a place in your so-called ’Perfect World’...”

”But now, it seems that this endless war has clouded your mind and judgement; despite being a savior, all you have done is lead everyone to a pointless war that has no end in sight...”

”Thousands die every single day just to uphold your ideals.”

While bringing out his spear, Igon looked straight in Allen’s eyes and spoke,

”Uncountable beings have died because of your decision... you are no longer a ’Hero’! You are no longer a ’Chosen One,’ Allen!!”

”I will not entrust the future of my race to a war-hungry tyrant like you!!”

Hearing those words, a look of bitter helplessness appeared on Allen’s face; he knew that there was nothing he could say in this moment that would change Igon and those other SS rankers’ minds.

Even Allen himself was starting to doubt the credibility of raging this endless war; let alone the others, he had no genuine reason left to condemn others’ actions.

Several SS-rankers from the alliance betraying him and joining the side of miasma with Igon was not an unexpected thing; this was bound to happen sooner or later.

’Sigh, nearly five hundred years of endless war and senseless slaughter... anyone would feel tired of it all and lose hope...’

Allen could understand the reason for the betrayal, and that is why he was the most helpless when facing this situation.

He could not even condemn Igon and the others because he himself was the one in the wrong.

Unless Allen had found the abyss gate in the spirit realm and destroyed it, he had no way of stopping this war.

Igon and the others’ decision to join Miasma to escape this endless war and seek prosperity for their people was the most reasonable thing they could do in this situation.

”Sigh, I guess this was bound to happen sooner or later... I just hoped that the war would end before something like this could happen... perhaps I was too naïve to think that... sigh...”

While shaking his head in dismay, Allen brought out his sword and spoke loudly.

”I know you are there... come out, Demon King!”

As Allen’s words rang out, a powerful presence appeared in the air, a massive crack opened in the space-time fabric, and the current demon king walked out of it while holding a person by the neck with his hand.

”It’s been a while, King Allen. Are you satisfied by the gift prepared by me?”

Allen’s eyes widened in shock as he immediately realized who the demon was holding hostage in his hand.

”That-”

Before Allen could finish his words, the Demon King twisted his hand and broke the neck of the person he was holding hostage.

”Yes! This is the wife of your little friend Zain Dred! BAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! I USED HER TO MAKE YOUR LITTLE FRIEND SURRENDER WILLINGLY AND THREW HIM IN THE PIT OF CORRUPTION BENEATH MY CASTLE!!!”

”It was hilarious!!! Once we kidnaped his wife, that fool fell in our trap so easily!! He willingly came to the demon continent alone and got surrounded by us all!”

”BAHAHAHAHAH!!!! WE ALL GATHERED TOGETHER AND MADE HIM STAND THERE LIKE A FOOL!!!”

”We made him take our attacks on himself willingly, and we beat him half dead several times!! Ahhh~ it was so fun while it lasted~...”

”Unfortunately, I couldn’t find his children, or I would have skinned them alive right in front of him, BAHAHAHAHA!!!!”

While laughing like a maniac, the demon king threw the corpse of Zain’s wife at Allen’s feet.

The corpse was already mangled beyond recognition, and just looking at it could make a person puke in horror.

”Allen! Stop listening to them! They are trying to make you lose control over your emotions and become irrational!”

Bela tried to calm Allen, but, in that moment, Allen had already lost all reason, and his eyes had gone bloodshot from sheer anger!

”I will... kill you all!!”
