Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 837: The Turning Point. Part-2.

Walking through the market, the duo made their way towards a secluded alley and entered a small tavern that seemed to be giving off a shady vibe.

Once inside the tavern, a frown appeared on Allen’s face as he noticed that the entire tavern was empty and devoid of life.

”That’s... odd. This is supposed to be the secret entrance to the underground meeting hall... but there’s no one here? That’s weird...”

Bela was just as confused as Allen as she muttered to herself,

”I don’t sense any lifeforce in the underground area either... could it be that we arrived before everyone else and the others have yet to reach this place?”

”But that doesn’t make any sense; at least the regular staff members should have been here all the time...”

Just when Allen and Bela were feeling confused, powerful spatial fluctuations appeared all around them.

”What!?”

A look of shock appeared on Bela’s face as she immediately realized that the entire island had suddenly become covered in spatial fluctuations and that some kind of forbidden magic was being utilized on the entire island!

The life force of the thousands of inhabitants of the entire island suddenly started to burn like a wildfire and pour into the gigantic crimson red magic circle that had appeared in the sky above the island out of nowhere!

The spacetime fabric warped, and miasma flooded the entire island with overwhelming force!

Allen and Bela immediately realized that they had both fallen in a well-planned trap, they had been deceived, there was no meeting of gods happening here, and it was all a trick to get them to let their guard down!

”Tch! We need to get out of here right now!”

There was no time to save the inhabitants of this island, as Allen could sense that all of them had their body and soul bound to the forbidden magic array, and it was very difficult to save them all.

Thus, without hesitation, Allen and Bela immediately flew upwards, broke through the ceiling of the tavern, and rushed towards the vast sea.

Unfortunately for them, the trap this time was made with thorough preparations.

The moment Allen and Bela tried to escape, the giant red magic circle in the sky lit up even more brightly, and the bodies of the hundreds of thousands of people connected to it burst apart into bloody mess.

The space-time fabric of the entire island shifted, and cracks appeared in the sky.

Before Allen and Bela could escape, the entire population of Ravendome Island, along with everything else that existed on the island, got sacrificed to the magic circle.

Everything happened so fast that even Bela, the very goddess of life force, could not stop this senseless carnival of death.

*Crack!* *Crack* Shatter!

A look of shock appeared on Allen’s and Bela’s faces as they witnessed the entire island shattered into pieces and disappear from existence!

The powerful spatial fluctuations caused the entire area to warp and turn into a spatial rift.

[Ding! Due to extreme miasmic interference, the ’Laws of the world’ in this location have been suppressed for a brief time period.]

[Ding! Due to the power of the ’laws’ being suppressed tremendously, your ’World Authorities’ will lose effectiveness to a certain extent!]

”This is bullsh*t!”

A look of shock and disbelief appeared on Allen’s face as he found it all hard to believe.

Usually, he could predict everything before it happened with the help of the heavenly will, but today, not only was he not able to predict anything, but even his own world authority was weakened.

Allen was already a peak SS ranker with a world authority reaching level 9; logically speaking, it was near impossible for anyone or anything to so easily disable his world authority.

But today, the unexpected had happened.

Allen and Bela were both instantly swallowed by that rift and fell inside without being able to deploy their own ’World Authorities.’

The moment the spatial fluctuations finally calmed down, the two of them found themselves inside a place filled with miasmic corruption to the brim.

Looking at those dark clouds of miasma in the sky and that pitch-black ground reeking of miasmic rot, Allen and Bela immediately realized the severity of their situation.

”The spirit realm? No wonder that trap was so stealthy and unnoticeable... using spirit realm manifestation indeed leaves no trace...”

The spirit realm was in essence a part of the world structure; every location in the main material universe had a corresponding place connected to it in the spirit realm.

Usually the spirit realm can only be accessed through weak nodes, but if someone uses overwhelming force to rupture the spacetime fabric and open a spatial rift to the spirit realm, it is possible to forcefully enter the spirit realm.

The trap that brought Allen and Bela to the spirit realm used a similar principle but in reverse.

The powerful forbidden magic circle reversed the spatial rift direction and brought the miasma of the spirit realm into the main world in reverse by using the life force of the thousands of people in the area.

As the spirit realm was deeply connected to the sea of miasma, there was no shortage of miasma inside here, and by opening a rift to the main world, the massive amount of miasma inside could be easily poured out in the main world like a flood!

That instant increase in the density of miasma created a short period of imbalance in the laws of the world and caused Allen’s world authority to malfunction for a few milliseconds.

”Such a sophisticated plan... pulling off something like this would have been impossible unless someone from our side was working together with powerful demons like the demon king and knew exactly where I and Bela were going to be...”

*Clap!* *Clap!* Clap!

Just as Allen finished figuring out the situation, a powerful presence suddenly appeared nearby.

”As expected of the heaven’s chosen, you figured out everything in such a brief moment of time! If it was anyone else, they would have been too dumbfounded to even think anything!”

”No wonder you have become the greatest threat to the Sea of Miasma... your understanding of the ’laws’ and mechanisms of this world is too frightening...”
