Chapter 590: Fighting Inside An Unstable Wormhole! Part-2.

The cube of possibilities was going haywire and wasn’t of much help even when trying to track down Raika, let alone his master.

’But him not being able to disappear inside the wormhole is an advantage...’

Rio didn’t expect such an unexpected debuff to fall on Raika.

The main reason why Rio was having such a tough time against Raika was mainly because Raika could easily recover from all the damage done to him and could go in and out of existence at will.

It was a perfect counter to Rio’s various types of combat skills and techniques that were highly focused on dealing with many types of enemies.

Despite having a massive arsenal of skills, none of them worked on Raika, as he was truly something bizarre.

After fighting Raika for so long, Rio had already come to the conclusion that it was pointless to try to kill and destroy Raika, as he was unaffected by all that.

’But how do I get Liam back from him without finding some way to inflict permanent harm on him?’

Rio had tried all of his abilities, and he was still unable to cause any permanent damage to Raika.

Without being able to do permanent damage, Rio can’t land a proper hit on either Raika or his floating holy lyre, which contains Liam’s soul!

Just when Rio was getting more and more confused on what to do, he suddenly sensed that the presence and aura of Liam’s soul suddenly disappeared from Raika’s Lyre!

Moreover, Raika’s shining lyre suddenly became dull, and cracks appeared all over it as if it was hit by a very violent power and damaged very badly in an instant!

”What!?”

”What!?”

Both Raika and Rio were so shocked in that moment that they even forgot they were fighting!

The two of them kept falling down inside the wormhole, but they didn’t even have the time to care about it now!

They both looked at the floating lyre with shock plastered on their faces!

”What did you do to Liam’s soul!?”

Rio immediately thought that Raika had done something to Liam’s soul, but to his surprise, Raika was just as bewildered.

”T-this... I don’t know! What just happened!? His soul disappeared!?”

Seeing that bewildered look on Raika’s face, Rio suddenly calmed down, and a thought came to his mind.

’Was it something done by Ellie?’

Rio had entrusted Ellie with thinking up a plan while he was busy fighting, but then he and Raika both fell inside the wormhole, so Rio’s communication channel with her broke apart!

He had no idea what Ellie had done and how she made Liam’s soul disappear from Raika’s grasp.

But one thing was confirmed now: Raika had lost the battle!

Rio was not the only person fighting Raika in this battle! From the very beginning, Ellie was also participating in it too!!

Rio remained true to his words; he kept distracting Raika, and he did it so well that Raika didn’t even bother attacking Ellie even once!

He didn’t even seem to have considered Ellie a participant in this battle, and his sole focus was on either attacking Rio or arguing with Rio!

Due to being so focused on Rio alone, Raika didn’t have the slightest idea of what Ellie was doing and what she was planning, as he didn’t even consider her to be strong enough to do anything in this battle.

He underestimated Ellie too much!

He underestimated her because she didn’t make a single move from the start to the end! And he subconsciously didn’t pay her attention because of her being so weak and unable to attack!

A look of anger and frustration appeared on Raika’s face for the first time!

”I will kill that d*mned women!!!”

Raika only managed to understand what had happened after a very long time!

It took him so long to react that Rio closed up on him!

[Elemental Sword Art: Wind Type: Mosquito Repelling Wind!]

Mosquitoes and flying pests were a big problem in Rio’s previous world.

After coming to this world and getting the ability to use elementals, Rio developed a skill especially targeted at them!

It was the ’Mosquito Repelling Wind’!.

What’s so special about it, you ask? It’s nothing special, and that’s exactly what’s special about it!

Rio sneaked up to Raika’s side and then swung his sword downwards with such force that the wind elementals condensing around his sword blew Raika’s projection downwards like a bullet!!

This sword technique was so good that Rio could produce wind blasts so powerful that they could blow away any creature far, far away from Rio without killing them at that!

”I understand it now... you can’t produce two projections at one time, and your connection with the main body has been cut off since the moment you entered the wormhole!”

”That’s why you tried to fly up just now, as you can’t disappear and reappear near Ellie because you can’t ask your main body to make you disappear anymore!”

Inside the wormhole, it was impossible to track anything; thus, the main body was also unable to track down the coordinates of the projection called Raika!

Raika not only couldn’t disappear, but his connection to the main body was also cut off!

Which also means,

’The ’World Authority’ he was using to attack me has stopped working!’

Rio had noticed that in the previous few attacks done by Raika!

Raika was not using any world authorities anymore, but he was using various elementals to destabilize the entire wormhole itself so that it would eject Rio and Raika outside!

But Rio stopped that by using spatial fluctuations!

Moreover, until now, Raika has been fighting Rio with only himself!

As a projection, he should have been able to make many similar copies of himself if he wanted, but he didn’t!

Which also means that even Raika has limits, and even he can’t just break the rules of the world so easily.

The person behind Raika’s might be a powerful being, but they were clearly not above the natural order of the world itself!

They lent Raika such immense power and even a part of their own authority!

There’s no way that another Raika could be created with the same precision and level of power at all!

”I will not let you leave this place and go back to her side!”

Rio had already figured out Raika’s current state, and he knew that if Raika wanted to deal with Ellie, he needed to fly back to the start point of the wormhole or exit the wormhole.

After exiting the wormhole, he would be able to re-establish contact with the main body, and then he can teleport to Ellie’s side by disappearing and reappearing out of existence.

But Rio wasn’t going to let that happen!

Before, Raika was keeping him from helping Liam, but now it was Rio’s turn to keep Raika away to prevent him from harming Liam and Ellie!

”Tch!”

Seeing that Rio was now blocking the way back, Raika clicked his tongue and decided to rush toward the walls of the wormhole!

But Rio was not an idiot; he didn’t waste a single second and got to work!

[Elemental Sword Art: Wind Type: Mosquito Repelling Wind!]

”Eat this! you annoying mosquito-like motherf*cker!!”

*BOOOM!!!*
