Tech Giants: Starting from Bankrupt Companies

56: Chapter 56: The Tech Tree Blossoms, New Product LaunchBut compared to the weather, the surging crowds and heat waves inside the Spark Technology headquarters building were even more intense.

The large auditorium inside the building was brightly lit and bustling with noise at this moment.

A huge circular screen was suspended behind the stage, displaying flowing blue halos filled with a sense of technology and the Spark Technology logo.

The seats below were packed; tech media, industry analysts, hardcore fans, and channel partners from all over the country and the world were whispering to each other, the air filled with anticipation and a hint of imperceptible scrutiny—after all, this was Spark Technology’s first large-scale public appearance after encountering a series of unjust sanctions.

Backstage, Su Chen adjusted his signature dark casual suit and calmly watched the live footage on the monitoring screen.

Lin Wan stood by his side, wearing a sharp white suit skirt, and reported in a low voice: ”The real-time viewership on major online streaming platforms has already exceeded ten million, and public attention is very high.”

”Hmm,” Su Chen nodded slightly, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. ”The stage is handed over to Zhang Yang. Let’s see what kind of surprises this ’product paranoid’ can bring.”

Lin Wan also smiled: ”For today, he practiced talking to the air in the rehearsal room no less than fifty times, and he was even reciting parameters in his sleep.”

Just then, the lights in the auditorium suddenly dimmed, leaving only the dim blue background light emitted by the circular screen.

The noise at the venue receded like a tide, and everyone’s eyes focused on the center of the stage.

A piece of brisk and rhythmic background music played, and accompanied by a spotlight, a figure jogged onto the stage.

He looked to be thirty-five or thirty-six years old, wearing a minimalist T-shirt newly designed by Xinghuo Electronics, paired with casual pants; he was full of energy, his face beaming with an infectious smile, completely different from the serious image people usually have of tech company CEOs.

”Hello everyone! I am Zhang Yang!” He walked to the center of the stage, took the microphone handed by a staff member, and said with a loud voice and a natural enthusiasm, ”Welcome to the Spark Technology 2017 Summer New Product Launch!”

Without a long-winded opening, without a heavy background introduction, Zhang Yang’s direct and energetic entrance instantly grabbed everyone’s attention.

Warm applause broke out below the stage.

”I know there have been some storms outside recently,” Zhang Yang changed the subject, his tone becoming slightly more steady, but his eyes still bright. ”Many people are asking, how is Spark doing? Can it still bring out products that make people’s eyes light up?”

He paused, his gaze sweeping across the audience, and then his smile became even brighter. ”Today, we don’t want to talk too much about grand principles, nor do we want to complain about anything. We just want to let the products speak! Because we believe that the best response is to use the ultimate product experience to tell everyone—Spark’s technology tree has not withered; on the contrary, it is accelerating its blooming on every branch and leaf!”

”Roar!” More enthusiastic applause and cheers erupted from the audience; clearly, this straightforward and confident opening greatly boosted the mood of everyone present.

”At the same time, in order to focus more and more extremely on creating the consumer electronic products you love,” Zhang Yang officially announced, ”we have officially established the seventh subsidiary under Spark Group—Xinghuo Electronics! And I am honored to be the CEO of Xinghuo Electronics, leading the team to bring you all the new products today, as well as more and cooler products in the future!”

The applause thundered again; establishing an independent subsidiary undoubtedly indicated Spark Group’s extreme emphasis on the consumer electronics business and its determination for long-term investment.

”Alright, enough small talk, let’s get straight to the point!” Zhang Yang waved his hand, and the circular screen behind him instantly lit up, the screen splitting to show the silhouettes of four products, full of mystery.

”Today, we will bring you four new friends, and they will jointly build a new experience for our smart life.”

Eye of the Sky, Evolved Again—”Spark 4” Drone

In the center of the screen, the silhouette of the drone enlarged, revealing the true appearance of a drone with smooth lines and a compact design—the Spark 4.

”First is our old friend, and also the star product that started our Spark journey—the brand new generation of our drone series, ’Spark 4’!” Zhang Yang’s voice carried pride. ”Inside its small body, we have packed unprecedentedly powerful capabilities.”

He turned to point at the big screen, which began to display the core parameters of the Spark 4.

”Imaging is the eye of a drone. We have equipped the Spark 4 with a full-focal-length imaging system!” Zhang Yang explained in detail. ”It has a 15-megapixel default mode that we have deeply optimized, ensuring pure image quality and true colors. But when you need to capture extreme details—” he deliberately drew out his tone, the screen switched to show an enlarged photo of a building, the texture of the brick wall clearly visible, ”it can switch to 50-megapixel high-resolution mode with one click! This means that every frame you shoot from the air could be a blockbuster photo that you can print and hang on the wall!”

A gasp of amazement came from below; the application of a high-resolution mode on a consumer-grade drone was indeed a significant breakthrough.

”Having good eyes is not enough; it must also have a strong physique.” Zhang Yang smiled and made an analogy. ”While maintaining our consistent 570-gram ultra-light body, through brand-new aerodynamic design and lightweight materials, we have increased the Spark 4’s battery life to an astonishing 40 minutes!”

The big screen timely played a video: a Spark 4 flying steadily over the coastline at dusk, from the sunset glow to the lighting up of the city lights; the flight timestamp in the corner was ticking, and when it finally landed steadily, it showed more than 40 minutes.

”That’s not all!” Zhang Yang raised his voice. ”We often say, if the weather forecast says force 5 wind, can you not fly? No! The Spark 4 tells you, force 5 wind, still fly without issue!”

The following demo video pushed the atmosphere of the venue to a climax; the video was clearly shot in a strong wind environment by the sea, and the lens could even hear the whistling wind, but the footage sent back by the Spark 4 was as steady as Bedrock.

Whether it was high-speed panning or hovering shots, the image had no shaking or jelly effect, clearly capturing the rolling waves and the rapidly moving clouds in the sky.

”This is the effect of combining our third-generation three-axis mechanical gimbal with our self-developed image algorithms,” Zhang Yang explained. ”It can not only resist the wind but also ’understand’ the wind and actively compensate.” He pointed to the screen, ”Look at this stability, this image quality! 4K 60 frames per second, every frame is a treat!”

Finally, he emphasized solemnly: ”And the ’brain’ that supports this entire smooth experience, processing massive image data and data transmission, is exactly our Spark self-developed—’flint one’ chip!”

On the big screen, the chip structure diagram of the ’flint one’ and the flying footage of the drone complemented each other, full of a sense of power.

”Spark 4, sky perspective, unprecedented. Domestic price, 8999 yuan! Pre-sale starts today!” Zhang Yang announced the price, and warm applause erupted again below the stage; this price was extremely competitive among drones of similar performance.

Record Fearlessness, Steady as a Rock—”Lingmou 3” Action Camera

The drone segment ended, and the focus on the screen switched to another small but rugged-looking product—the ”Lingmou 3” action camera.

”Returning from the sky to the ground, or even diving into the water, we need a recording partner that is equally powerful.” Zhang Yang picked up the ”Lingmou 3” from the display stand; it was so small it could almost be held in the palm of his hand. ”This is the brand new ’Lingmou 3’! We have given it a new title—Master of Extreme Recording!”

”Its core is the re-evolved ’HyperSmooth 3.0 Super Anti-Shake’!” Zhang Yang said with an exaggerated tone. ”If the previous generation was stable, this generation is... well, pervertedly stable!” His choice of words drew a burst of good-natured laughter from the audience.

”We have not only optimized the algorithm but also added a brand-new ’Horizon Correction Function’!” The big screen began to play a demo video; this time it was a first-person perspective, an extreme sports enthusiast had fixed the Lingmou 3 to their helmet and started a mountain bike downhill run.

The footage was violently bumpy and jumping, and at one point, the entire camera rotated 360 degrees in the air due to a jump; however, what was jaw-dropping was that no matter how the camera itself tumbled, the final image presented on the screen always kept its horizontal line stable, as if an invisible gyroscope was locking onto the horizon.

The footage of the entire process was as smooth as movie camera movement.

”See that? No matter how you mess with it, the image is always horizontal! Always stable!” Zhang Yang’s voice was filled with excitement. ”This is the power of algorithms, this is the result of ’flint one’ silently calculating in the background!”

”In terms of image quality, we have brought ’5K Cinema-Grade Video Recording’!” The screen showed 5K video screenshots taken by the Lingmou 3, with details fully revealed when zoomed in, and natural color transitions.

”Whether you are recording your adventure journey or shooting a Vlog, the Lingmou 3 can bring you professional-grade image quality and an unprecedentedly stable experience.”

”Lingmou 3, priced at 3498 yuan! Making every adventure of yours as clear as if you were there!”

Portable Ecosystem, Reliable Companion—”Starlight” Smart Wearables

The rhythm of the launch event was perfectly controlled by Zhang Yang, and he immediately introduced a product line closer to personal life.

”Technology should not only exist in the sky and extreme sports, but should also be integrated into every minute and every second of our daily lives.” The screen behind Zhang Yang switched to show two products with simple and fashionable designs: a smart bracelet and Bluetooth earbuds.

”First is our health and sports partner on our wrist—the brand new ’Starlight’ Smart Bracelet 2nd Generation!” Zhang Yang showed the sample on his wrist. ”It is very light, almost impossible to feel its presence. But it is very powerful!”

”We have solved the biggest pain point of smart wearable devices—battery life!” He held up two fingers. ”20 days! Yes, under normal use, it can accompany you for up to 20 days, without needing to worry about battery power!”

He then added, ”At the same time, it supports 50-meter professional-grade waterproofing! You can wear it swimming, surfing, or even diving without any pressure. It will be the most reliable and understanding health companion by your side.”

”Starlight Smart Bracelet 2nd Generation, priced at 299 yuan!” This approachable price made many people in the audience show expressions of being tempted.

”Just having things to see is not enough; you also need things to listen to.” Zhang Yang took the Bluetooth earbuds next to him. ”To perfect everyone’s portable smart experience, we have brought the first TWS true wireless Bluetooth earbuds from Xinghuo Electronics!”

The earbud case design was rounded and compact, and the earbud body had smooth lines.

”It may look simple, but its content is extraordinary.” Zhang Yang introduced. ”It is equipped with our H1 series chip optimized for audio (based on the flint one architecture), bringing ultra-low latency and extremely stable connection. Playing games, watching videos, sound and picture are completely synchronized. Moreover, it supports fast charging; charging for 15 minutes allows for 3 hours of listening. Letting you completely say goodbye to battery anxiety.”

”Spark’s first TWS Bluetooth earbuds, priced at 999 yuan!”

When introducing each wearable device, Zhang Yang also did not forget to emphasize: ”Their smooth operation, data synchronization, and low-power performance are also inseparable from the support of our self-developed ’flint one’ chip family.”

Act 4: Ecological Closed Loop and Strategic Determination

All four products were introduced; the circular screen simultaneously displayed the images of ”Spark 4”, ”Lingmou 3”, ”Starlight Smart Bracelet”, and ”Spark Earbuds”, which surrounded a virtual human figure representing the user, forming a clear smart ecological scene.

Zhang Yang stood in the center of the stage, with fine beads of sweat on his forehead, but his eyes were even more burning; he took a deep breath and summarized.

”Everyone has seen it, from the ’Spark 4’ that conquers the sky, to the ’Lingmou 3’ that records fearlessness, and then to the ’Starlight’ bracelet and earbuds that accompany our daily lives.” He opened his arms, as if embracing the ecosystem he had just described. ”They may seem different, but they are connected by blood. They all flow with Spark’s self-developed ’blood’, and possess the same powerful ’heart’ and ’brain’—the Flint chip and our Spark OS!”

His tone became firm and powerful: ”Today, we are not just launching a few new products. We are showing the world a possibility—a possibility of relying on our own strength to build a complete and excellent user experience! These four products constitute the basic ecosystem of Spark’s smart life. They prove that no matter what the wind and rain are outside, Spark’s original intention of focusing on users and focusing on innovation has never changed! Our determination to deeply cultivate technology and build an ecosystem will never waver!”

”All products are available for pre-sale starting today on the official Spark mall and major authorized platforms! The first batch of stock is limited, I hope everyone likes them!”

As his voice fell, the pre-sale QR code and link were displayed on the big screen; almost instantly, on the background data monitoring screen, the inventory status of several products began to change from ”Available for Pre-order” to ”Out of Stock” or ”Waiting for Next Batch”.

The cheers and applause at the venue lasted for a long time, and the bullet comments in the online live broadcast room were flooded with phrases like ”Spark is awesome!”, ”Already ordered!”, ”Support domestic self-development!”.

At the entrance of the inconspicuous control room behind the stage, Su Chen and Lin Wan stood side by side, looking through the gap in the door at the boiling scene in the front, and at Zhang Yang who was bowing to thank the audience and interacting with them on stage.

”It seems he fought this battle beautifully.” Lin Wan said softly, her tone filled with relief.

Su Chen nodded, his gaze deep, watching the constantly jumping pre-sale data on the screen and Zhang Yang’s passionate figure, a completely relaxed smile appeared on his face; he said softly to Lin Wan, and also as if to himself: ”Look, our own foundation is becoming more and more stable.”

This launch event, held under the shadow of sanctions, had no tragedy, no slogans, only hardcore products and ultimate experience; it was like a shot of adrenaline, not only injected into the market, but also deeply injected into the heart of every Spark person.

The blooming of the technology tree has already begun, and it will surely be even more brilliant.
