Takaya Mitsui lowered his head and pondered for a moment. After half a minute, he said,

“That’s a solution. Contact Qiu Xucheng now as well as the people from Black

Gold Corporation to see what they think.”

“I’ll go now.”

“By the way, don’t let Caie know about this,” Takaya Mitsui said.

“She’s very close to Lin Yi. If she finds out, she might inform Lin Yi.”

“Brother, 1 think it’s better to be thorough in this matter.”

“What do you mean?”

“If we try to hide anything from Caie, Lin Yi might take the initiative to contact her,” Mitsui said.

“With his intelligence, he’ll be able to sense that something’s wrong as long once he calls Caie.”

“So you’re saying…”

After hesitating for a few seconds, Yamazuki Mitsui said, “These next few days are a little special. Let’s restrict Caie first. After everything is over, we’ll release her.”

“We’ll do as you say.”

“I’ll make the arrangements now.”

That night, Ning Che and Qiu Yuluo invited Lin Yi to drink with them so that they could enjoy a carefree and indulgent life.

Ring ring ring!

At around 10 p.m., the three of them finished their drinks at the bar and prepared to have supper before going back to rest.

However, at this moment, Lin Yi’s phone rang.

“Mr. Lin, this is Takaya Mitsui.”

Lin Yi looked at his watch. He felt that something was amiss when he received a call from Takaya Mitsui at this time.

“Have you thought it through?”

“I’ve thought about it.” Takaya Mitsui said,

“I agree to all three of your requests. I’m trying to contact Qiu Xucheng.”

“No wonder Mitsui Group was able to expand under your command. You’re a big shot.” Lin Yi said.

“After contacting Qiu Xucheng, just send him to Yanjing. I’ll send someone to pick him up.”

“I’m afraid this will be a little difficult,” Takaya Mitsui said.

“When we were on the phone, our people tested him. He’s very cautious of Huaxia, so it’ll be very difficult for us to send him back to Huaxia. If Mr. Lin doesn’t mind, 1 can bring him to Sunrise Land and you can take him away. It just so happens there are also many matters regarding the photolithography machine and information about our Mitsui Heavy Industries that I’d like to discuss with you.”

“To Sunrise Land…”

Lin Yi muttered. He could vaguely detect a ploy against him.

“Mr. Lin, don’t misunderstand. I’m just trying to ensure that there I have no other intentions.” Takaya Mitsui said,

“If you’re worried, we can choose another place.”

“There’s no need to go through so much trouble.” Lin Yi said.

“Just let me know when you bring Qiu Xucheng back.”

“Good!”

After the negotiation, Lin Yi hung up.

Qiu Yuluo and Ning Che looked at him questioningly.

“The Mitsuis called you?”

“Hmm? They agreed to all three of my earlier requests and called to talk about it.”

“But I just heard you say that you’re going to Sunrise Land. What do you mean?”

“They’ll be bringing Qiu Xucheng back and asked me go to Sunrise Land to pick him up. Then, we’ll also talk about Mitsui Heavy Industries,” Lin Yi said in a low voice.

“That sounds good,” Ning Che said. “But when I think about it carefully, it doesn’t really, make sense.”

“It’s still too early to make any conclusions. Sharing Mitsui Heavy Industries’ technical information and issuing a public apology would affect Mitsui Group as much as the lithography machine incident. I feel that something is amiss since he is agreeing so readily.”

In reality, Takaya Mitsui and his brother knew that there were flaws in this plan, but they didn’t care.

They just needed Lin Yi to come to Sunrise Land. If this condition was met, they would succeed.

That was because everything would be handled by Black Gold Corporation and would have nothing to do with him.

Lin Yi’s explanation made Qiu Yuluo and Ning Che think.

“What are you thinking? Will you go to Sunrise Land to bring in Qiu Xucheng?”

“I will definitely go.” Lin Yi said.

“He tried to trick me. No matter what, I have to meet him and have a heart to heart with him.”

The two of them shivered. They felt that with Lin Yi’s style, after the person called Qiu Xucheng was captured, he would most likely be played to death. Ring ring ring!

Lin Yi’s phone rang again.

This time, it was a call from Liu Hong.

“Are the three of you together?”

“We are.”

“I’ll gather in my office in half an hour!”

Hearing Liu Hong speak in an almost commanding tone, the three of them realized that something big might have happened.

“Okay!”

Lin Yi didn’t say anything else. He hung up and drove towards the Central Guards Brigade’s base.

Half an hour later, the four of them met in the office.

“What’s the matter? Why were you in such a hurry to call us back?” Lin Yi said, “We were waiting for our supper to be served.”

“Having late-night snacks is nothing compared to my ranked match. I had to afk halfway through my game,” Liu Hong said.

“There’s news from Team 4. Paul, who’s stationed on Tilia Island, evacuated the island overnight with his men. This is a bad sign.”

Lin Yi still had some impression of Paul.

He was one of Jeffrey’s three cadres, but now he was the only one left, and he was also the strongest.

Unexpectedly, he suddenly retreated from Tilia Island.

“Any other news?” Lin Yi asked.

“Not yet. I only know that they’ve returned, but I don’t know what they’re planning to do.”

“Previously, Jimmy and Eliza rushed back because they wanted to make a deal with the people of Sunrise Land. Could this be the same?” Ning Che said.

“We can’t rule out that possibility.”

“But both their transactions in Sunrise Land were ruined. Would he still dare to make a deal with the people of Sunrise Land?”

“Moreover, Paul has a pivotal position in the Black Gold Corporation. Jeffrey wouldn’t have transferred him back unless it was for something important.” After pausing for a few seconds, Qiu Yuluo continued,

“And I believe that losing two key personnel in succession, Jeffrey is unlikely to be so focused on obtaining more gene sequence serum. He is more likely focusing on internal company issues.”

The three of them agreed with Qiu Yuluo.

This is like a man who married two wives, got cheated on by both of them, leaving him with nothing.

If he doesn’t reflect on his own issues afterward and goes on to borrow money to marry another wife, then there’s something wrong with his mind.

“Following your train of thought, can we assume that Jeffrey reassigned Paul back here to investigate the deaths of Jimmy and Eliza?”

“That’s possible.” Qiu Yuluo said.

“But it’s been a long time since Jimmy was captured and Eliza died. Isn’t it a little suspicious that Jeffrey is only calling him back now? It’s too late,” Ningche said.

“Maybe Jeffrey found a lead and called Paul back to take revenge!”
