Chapter 1278: Reversal

“About what?”

Alice asked coldly, showing no interest in Yamazuki Mitsui’s appearance.

They already knew what Yamazuki Mitsui was going to say.

But now, Lin Yi held 12% of both Intel and Cymer’s shares. They were directly and indirectly Lin Yi’s subordinates, so it was naturally impossible for them to have anything to do with Yamazuki Mitsui.

“It’s like this. Now that we’ve developed a five-nanometer photolithography machine, we need the help of Cymer and Intel for the light sources and lenses. 1 hope we can cooperate in these aspects.”

Because Intel held Karl Zeiss’s shares, Yamazuki Mitsui talked to Alice first.

If she had no objections, she could take the lead in facilitating this collaboration.

“You developed a five-nanometer photolithography machine?” Alice raised her eyebrows and asked, her eyes filled with disdain and ridicule.

“Of course. We have hundreds of patented technologies to support this. If you have time, I can show you.”

“I’ve already seen the news you posted, but without Cymer’s light source and Karl Zeiss’s camera, how could you have built a five-nanometer photolithography machine?”

“Huh?”

Yamazuki Mitsui felt that something was wrong and asked,

“Don’t the two of you want to cooperate with us? If we can reach a cooperation, it will be a win-win situation.”

“Do we have no one else we can work with?” Alice asked.

“In the entire world, only ASML and ourselves have developed a five-nanometer photolithography machine. Other than ourselves, there are no other possible partners in the high-end photolithography field.”

“I don’t think that’s the case,” said Alice.

“I heard that Huaxia is also developing a photolithography machine, and they have already succeeded, so your theory is not true.”

“What are you talking about?!”

Yamazuki Mitsui looked flustered. Alice’s words caught him off guard.

Yamazuki Mitsui was definitely a smart person to have come this far.

He could already tell what Alice was implying!

It was very likely that she already knew that the Mitsui family had stolen this technology from Lin Yi!

However, this kind of thing was a high-level business secret. How did she know?!

“Mr. Lin is here!”

Just as the atmosphere on both sides reached a stalemate, Claire turned around and spoke.

Alice also turned around and saw Lin Yi walking in.

“Let’s go and greet him.”

The two of them stood up at the same time and ignored Yamazuki Mitsui as they walked towards Lin Yi.

Watching the two of them walk towards Lin Yi, Yamazuki Mitsui sat on the chair in a daze.

He did not expect such a scene.

Even so, why were Alice and Claire more enthusiastic when they saw Lin Yi than when they saw him?

This was completely unreasonable!

“What should we do now, Mitsui-san?” The male assistant asked.

“Why are you panicking? Let’s go over and take a look,” Yamazuki Mitsui said with narrowed eyes.

At the same time, Alice and Claire had already walked up to Lin Yi.

“Are you guys ready?” Lin Yi asked.

“It’s all ready. There won’t be any problems. Some other manufacturers will also issue a joint statement,” Alice said.

“But if we can wait a few more days, our joint-agreement will gain the support of even more parties, which will make it even more effective.”

“Other than you guys, those capitalists are all waiting to determine their own benefits. They won’t take part unless they see tangible benefits.” Lin Yi said.

“So, once the conference begins, instruct your team to start working on this. When the wall collapses, many will push it down. The more people join in, the better. Talking too much now won’t have much substantive impact.”

“We understand.”

At the same time, Yamazuki Mitsui walked towards Lin Yi. His expression was still arrogant, and he didn’t take Lin Yi seriously.

“I really didn’t expect your relationship to be so good that they wouldn’t sell us cameras nor light sources. However, what 1 want to say is that it’s useless for you to do this. Later, I’ll visit their companies as Mitsui Group to seek cooperation. Your plan will fail when that happens.”

Yamazuki Mitsui didn’t hesitate. He imitated Lin Yi’s actions and patted his shoulder.

“Young man, your dirty tricks can fool ordinary opponents, but don’t forget that Mitsui Group is a world-class company. We will settle this matter in a short period of time. Your little tricks are useless.”

Lin Yi wasn’t angry at all. Instead, he walked up to Yamazuki Mitsui and closed the distance between them.

“You just said that you would talk to the higher-ups of these two companies as the Mitsui family. Did I mishear?”

“Of course, we have the recognition and strengthto do this, but you guys can’t. Your Lingyun Group is far inferior to ours.”

“That’s perfect. There’s no time like the present, so let’s talk now.”

“What are you talking about? There’s nothing to talk about between us.”

“Oh, right, there’s something you might not know.”

Lin Yi leaned his head against Yamazuki Mitsui’s ear and whispered,

“I have 12% of Cymer’s shares and 12% of Intel’s shares, so do you think you can still buy the light source and lens from them?”

BOOM!

Hearing this news, Yamazuki Mitsui felt as if a bomb had exploded in his head.

If not for his assistant supporting him from behind, he might have collapsed to the ground.

“You actually…”

Lin Yi smiled and gestured for him to keep quiet.

“Don’t be so surprised. It’s not a big deal. It’s just some shares. It’s not worth much.”

Lin Yi stood up straight and smiled.

“I do admire you guys for being able to make a five-nanometer photolithography machine without Cymer’s light source nor Carl Zeiss’s lens. Your Mitsui family is really amazing. You’re a model for us young people to learn from.”

“Well…”

With that, Lin Yi left with the two women and sat in the front row.

Shen Shuyi and the other leaders sat on the other side, no longer worried about this matter.

After a while, Yamazuki Mitsui recovered from his panic. His expression was extremely ugly.

He knew very well the seriousness of this matter.

Without Cymer’s light source and Carl Zeiss’s lens, there was no way to develop a photolithography machine!

Even though the Mitsui family had announced the news of the photolithography machine, they would soon become the laughing stock of the entire world!

He had to call his big brother!

“Mr. Mitsui, bad news!”

Just as Yamazuki Mitsui was about to make a call, his assistant said anxiously,

“Just now, Intel, Cymer, and Carl Zeiss announced at the same time that they would not collaborate with the Mitsui family.. They are obviously targeting us!”
