717 What Is the Mitsui Group to Me?

“Let’s eat later. I’m not done yet.”

“Mr. Lin.”

Just as Lin Yi was about to look for Miller and Yushi Mitsui, he happened to see the latter walking towards him.

“Call Miller over for me. I need to talk to you two about something.”

!!
“Alright, Mr. Lin. I’ll go get him now.”

“Brother Lin, you know Mr. Miller and Mr. Mitsui?” Chen Yan asked in surprise.

“They’re my underlings. Of course we know each other.”

“Ah? Your underlings?” Chen Yan said in surprise.

“I know your medical skills are amazing, but it’s not enough to surpass both of them, right? He’s a Nobel Prize winner.”

“A Nobel Prize is nothing. Don’t take these things too seriously. Focus on curing illnesses and saving people. For a doctor, that’s more important than anything else.”

“Yes, yes. Brother Lin is right,” Chen Yan said.

“Brother Lin is right,” Li Zhimeng said.

Not long after, Mitsui called Miller over.

“Do you have something to discuss, Mr. Lin?” Miller asked.

Lin Yi took out a piece of paper from his pocket and handed it to Miller.

“Weren’t you researching thrombolytic drugs before this? This is a prescription that I’ve come up with. It’s considered a Huaxian medicine. However, you also know that the disadvantage of Chinese medicine is that they are slow to take effect. I hope that you can use this as the foundation to study it further and make it more effective. Do you understand what I mean?”

“Don’t worry, Mr. Lin. I’ll definitely do my best to study it. I won’t let you down.”

Miller held the prescription as if it was a treasure.

To him, if he could successfully develop this medicine, his international reputation and status would most likely rise to another level.

On the other hand, Yoshi Mitsui was much calmer. He only thanked him symbolically and did not show any other extra actions.

“Alright, I’ll leave this to you. Call me if there’s anything you can’t handle.”

“Alright, thank you, Mr. Lin.”

Lin Yi nodded and said to Li Chuhan and the others.

“Let’s go. I’m done with my business. Let me take you out for dinner.”

As the group walked out, Chen Yan whispered,

“Brother Lin, we didn’t have enough fun yesterday. Let’s find a place to continue after dinner.”

“Brother Lin, you brought them to Huaqing Lake?” Qiao Xin asked in surprise.

“Mm, do you guys want to go? You guys seem to be quite busy. I’ll bring you guys there to relax.”

“I’ve never been to a place like that.”

“If you haven’t been there, then you should be more nervous, right? Why are you rubbing your hands together?”

“Hehe, I want to experience it.”

“What about you?” Lin Yi looked at Li Chuhan.

“I’ll follow your preference,” Li Chuhan whispered.

“Let’s go.”

“Hmm, in that case, we have to go somewhere else. We can’t go to Huaqing Lake today. I feel that she has spies there. It’s not safe for us to go there,” Chen Yan said.

“I’ll bring you to another place. It’s not inferior to Huaqing Lake. I guarantee that your sister won’t be able to find it.”

“Haha, okay.”

The group arrived at the parking lot. Chen Yan prepared to get into Lin Yi’s car, while Gu Nanzhi and Li Zhimeng prepared to get into Li Chuhan’s car.

However, just as he got into the car, Lin Yi’s phone rang.

He took it out and saw that it was a call from Liang Ruoxu.

“Holy sh*t!”

Lin Yi cursed in his heart, “Don’t tell me this woman installed a surveillance camera on me?”

He calmly picked up Liang Ruoxu’s call and said,

“What is it?”

“Can’t I call you for no reason?”

From Liang Ruoxu’s tone, Lin Yi felt that he should be safe. This shouldn’t be about the massage services.

“Not really. The main thing is that I’m busy right now.”

“Then continue your work. I don’t have any reason for the call, I just want to ask you how the drug development was going.”

“It’s not a big problem. Don’t worry.”

“Okay.”

The call was short and concise. He only said a few words before hanging up.

“Is everything alright?” Chen Yan probed.

“It’s fine. Just follow me.”

“Oh yeah.”

Ring!

Just as Lin Yi was about to get into the car, the phone rang again.

“Who the hell is calling at this time?”

Lin Yi took out his phone and saw that it was an unknown number.

“Who is it?”

“Mr. Lin, it’s me, Yushi Mitsui.”

Lin Yi frowned. Why was that old man calling him?

“Why are you looking for me?”

“I have some personal matters to discuss with Mr. Lin alone. Has Mr. Lin left yet? Can you spare me this opportunity?”

“Alright, I haven’t left the parking lot yet.”

“Can we meet at the back door of the institute?”

“Sure.”

“Alright, I’ll go down now.”

Lin Yi hung up and said to Li Chuhan, Chen Yan, and the others,

“Wait for me in the car first. I have something to do. I’ll be back later.”

“Do you need my help?” Li Chuhan asked.

“No need. Just wait for me in the car. I’ll be back soon.”

“Yes, remember to call me if you need anything.”

Lin Yi nodded and walked towards the back door of the research center.

When Lin Yi arrived at the back door, Yushi Mitsui was already standing there.

“Mr. Lin.” Yushi Mitsui smiled and nodded like an old friend.

However, this made Lin Yi feel awkward.

Although there was no clear relationship between the two of them, in the laboratory, Lin Yi’s status was slightly higher than the latter’s.

Any experienced individual in the workplace would not show such an attitude when facing a higher-ranking leader.

Even so, Lin Yi couldn’t be bothered about such details. He walked in front of Yushi Mitsui and said,

“Why are you looking for me? Just say it.”

“Mr. Lin, let me introduce myself. I’m from the Mitsui Family in Sunrise Land. The Mitsui Group is owned by our family.”

Lin Yi rolled his eyes. “Then, what are you trying to say?”

“It’s like this. Recently, our family wants to establish a biology laboratory and is recruiting talents like Mr. Lin all over the world. Are you interested in participating?”

“Hehehe…” Lin Yi laughed, “Are you trying to hire me?”

Yushi Mitsui also smiled. “Mr. Lin, don’t be in a hurry to refuse. We can give you plenty of power and funds. As long as what you want is something we can give, we will satisfy you without hesitation.”

“I’m afraid that’s unlikely. You’d better find someone else.”

“Take care, Mr. Lin,” Mitsui said.

“Your ability is beyond doubt. I can assure you that as long as you agree to join us, you will get everything you want. Our Mitsui Group has the strength to satisfy you.”

Lin Yi turned around and looked at Yushi Mitsui with a smile.

“What is the Mitsui Group to me? Do you think I care about them?”
