I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 711 - 711 Why Donʼt You Work at the Circus?

711 Why Don’t You Work at the Circus?

“Is there a problem with this? The requirements shouldn’t be too harsh, right?” Li Lin changed her posture and looked at Lin Yi.

“This duration requirement is already the lowest in the industry. Many new streamers are 150 or 200 hours.”

“I work as a streamer mainly for my own entertainment. It’s impossible for me to sit in front of a camera every day,” Lin Yi said.

“As for the other conditions, they’re not too harsh. I can reluctantly agree to them.”

!!
“Um…”

This stumped Li Lin.

The most important thing about being a streamer was the length of the live broadcast.

No matter how popular you were, if you did not stream more than a few times a month, you would be forgotten by the audience.

The Internet had no memory.

“Is there no room for discussion regarding the frequency of live streams?” Li Lin probed.

She really didn’t want to give up on Lin Yi.

“Unfortunately not, but if nothing goes wrong, I should be streaming for the next half a month to a month. That’ll convert to more than three hours a day for now, but I can’t guarantee my availability in the future.”

“But our contract fee is five million. Aren’t you going to properly consider it?”

Lin Yi shrugged. “Do I look like someone who needs that bit of money?”

“Heh…”

Guo Shibo snorted in disdain.

“If you didn’t lack that bit of money, why would you be a streamer?”

“What kind of logic is that? Can’t I be a streamer if I have money?” Lin Yi said.

“Your face is so funny, yet you aren’t working in a circus.”

“You!”

“What?” Lin Yi looked at Li Lin and said, “Get this idiot away from me. Just looking at him is annoying me.”

“Who are you calling an idiot?”

“I’m talking about you. Do I need to spell it out? You’re really stupid.”

“There’s really no way to communicate with people like you.” Guo Shibo stood up and looked at Li Lin.

“Let’s go. We’re done here. There’s no need to waste time on him.”

“It’s not over yet. Let’s talk about this later,” Li Lin said awkwardly.

Compared to Lin Yi, Li Lin had a better relationship with Guo Shibo.

Even so, she didn’t want to give up on Lin Yi so easily.

Li Lin sincerely believed that as long as Lin Yi continued to stream well, he would definitely become an A-list streamer in the future. Thus, she had to fight for this contract.

“What’s there to talk about with him?” Guo Shibo snorted.

“We’ve already discussed the investment. He’s just a side mission. Since he doesn’t respect us, there’s no need to bother with him.”

“Well …”

Li Lin was in a difficult position. She didn’t know what to do.

“Forget about the investment. It won’t happen,” Lin Yi said as he fiddled with his phone.

“Won’t happen?” Guo Shibo looked at Lin Yi coldly.

“What do you know? Our investment negotiations have already ended. Moreover, the other party has already agreed to invest 678 million. Who do you think you are? Are you trying to scare me with so much bullsh*t?”

“Yes, but the money hasn’t reached your account yet. Life is unpredictable, wouldn’t you agree?”

“Do you think this is child’s play?” Guo Shibo sneered.

“Do you think a big company like Lingyun Group would so freely go back on their word?”

Guo Shibo shook his head in disdain. “Low-class people like you shouldn’t try to figure out the workings of the upper class. This is not something you should try to get involved in.”

Lin Yi shook his head helplessly. “I was right to say that you’re an idiot. Do you really think this is a harmonious society? Do I have to do what I promised you?”

Ring!

Just as Guo Shibo was about to retaliate, Li Lin’s phone rang.

“Stop arguing. Director Tian is calling.”

“Then quickly answer it.” Guo Shibo controlled his expression and didn’t say anything else.

The other party was the vice president of the investment arm of Lingyun Group. She must have something important to say.

“Why is she calling us? Haven’t we already discussed it thoroughly?”

“Did something go wrong? I’m nearby now. I can answer all your questions.”

“Then can we arrange a time to meet again? I think there must be a misunderstanding.”

“Oh, okay.”

Li Lin sat on the chair in frustration like a deflated balloon.

She really could not understand. Everything had been progressing smoothly. Did they notice a mistake at this time?

“What happened?” Guo Shibo asked when he saw Li Lin’s expression.

“Director Tian called me just now and said that she’s preparing to withdraw her investment. She doesn’t want to invest anymore.”

“How could that be possible? Didn’t the negotiations go very smoothly? Did she give a reason?”

“She didn’t give me any reason. She just said that she didn’t want to invest anymore.”

Guo Shibo’s expression also collapsed.

The company was already aware about this. If he told them now that Lingyun Group had withdrawn their investment, they would definitely think that it was his fault. How could he explain this to President Chen then?

“Didn’t you hear what I said. If the money isn’t transferred, there’s a chance that it will fail. You should have did as I said,” Lin Yi said calmly.

“Shut the f*ck up. You cursed me.”

“Why don’t you just admit that you’re too stupid? If it weren’t for you, this project might have been completed.”

“What the f*ck does that have to do with me?”

“If you had left when I told you to get out of my sight, this investment might have succeeded.”

Li Lin looked at Lin Yi suspiciously.

She felt that this matter was too coincidental to believe.

Could it be that this matter had something to do with the man in front of her?

‘That’s unlikely.

‘How could a streamer like him have the ability to obstruct an investment worth 678 million yuan?’

“Who the hell do you think you are, the boss of Lingyun Group?”

“That’s not something you should worry about.” Lin Yi smiled.

“If you do as I say, this investment can still go through. Otherwise, forget about receiving the money.”

Guo Shibo scoffed angrily.

“Alright, if you’re really capable of getting this investment, so I’ll resign now. If you don’t have the ability, get out of here obediently! Listen clearly, I said get lost.”

“Old Guo, what are you saying? Be mindful of your image. This is a public place.”

Li Lin looked around and realized that everyone in the restaurant was looking at her. She immediately felt embarrassed.

There was no need to eat this meal anymore.

“Mr. Lin, let’s go. Let’s not eat here and go somewhere else instead.”

“Since we’re already here, why should we change location?” Lin Yi said.

“But with so many people watching, this place is no longer suitable for us to hang around.”

“It’s fine. He’ll be leaving soon.”

“Leaving?”

Ring!

Just as Li Lin was confused, the phone beside her rang again.

What surprised her even more was that the person who called was Tian Yan.

“Hello, Ms. Tian.”

“You are planning to continue with the investment?”
