“When I go, I always go through the VIP channel. I don’t need this,” Lin Yi said.

“Alright, get out of the car. Let’s go take a look.”

Lu Ying tidied up her clothes and got out of the car alongside Lin Yi.

Compared to the bustling scene at the entrance of Cisco, this place was especially deserted.

Only the permanent bicycle parked outside indicated that there might be people inside.

!!
The worst part was that the bicycle had occupied two parking spaces. What a waste.

“What are you guys here for?”

The security guard came out with a fan and asked when he saw the two of them.

“We’re going into the factory to have a look around. This is the work permit.”

Lin Yi had said that he wanted to go to the factory later, so Lu Ying asked for two work permits when she signed the contract so as not to provoke any unnecessary conflict.

As for his identity, it wasn’t the time to reveal it yet. At the very least, Lin Yi couldn’t expose himself.

After seeing the permits in his hand, the guard didn’t stop him and let him pass.

The two weren’t familiar with Sci-tech, so they could only wander around.

After wandering around for a while, Lin Yi found that there weren’t many people in the factory. There were only a few people scattered around, and it looked very deserted.

The two of them peered through the windows from outside the building and found that most of the office spaces were empty.

Some of the offices were filled with people, and they were either gambling or playing games.

There was even one who was watching a small movie, and he didn’t even bring his earphones. He was very arrogant.

“Sci-tech has declared bankruptcy. I guess only the on-duty staff are left in each department. The others are either on vacation or have been let go. It’s normal for there to be fewer people around,” Lu Ying said.

“That’s possible.” Lin Yi nodded. “Let’s go into the factory.”

Both of them had permits, but neither of them went in. They stood outside the factory and watched.

Lin Yi saw the high-end equipment on the assembly line and asked,

“Are you familiar with all this equipment?”

Lu Ying nodded. “Some of them are the latest equipment, but the rest of the older equipment isn’t bad either. They can all meet the production needs. Having said that, whether or not it can meet the production capacity is a whole other story.”

“That’s pretty good.” Lin Yi pursed his lips. “He’s got such a good card in his hands, but he’s playing like this. He’s really useless.”

“…”

Lu Ying hesitated. “Maybe he is giving his opponent face.”

Lin Yi, “…”

Lu Ying chuckled. “Boss, why don’t we go in and take a look? There are workers inside maintaining the equipment. If you want to find out more information, you can go in and ask them directly.”

“Forget about going in. I’m just here to take a look. I won’t be in charge of this place in the future. I’ll leave it to someone else. There’s no point in making an appearance now.”

Lu Ying nodded as if she understood, but she had a feeling in her heart that if her boss tried to play one of the cards up his sleeve, he might end up tricking someone.

“Let’s go. We’ve seen enough.”

Lu Ying nodded, and the two walked out together.

“Wait!”

Just as the two were about to reach the door, they saw a black Range Rover parked at the door. A man and a woman got out of the car.

The man looked ordinary, and there was nothing special about him. The woman beside him was sexy and seductive, and she was holding a document bag in her hand.

The two of them walked in one after the other, looking like the boss and secretary respectively.

Lin Yi pulled Lu Ying to a corner to avoid being noticed.

Lu Ying was a little confused. Her boss was obviously hiding from the two of them. Did something happen?

Could it be that the woman and the Boss had some unspeakable secrets?

Was he afraid that the man would find out?

This seemed to be the case.

It had to be said that the female doctor’s logical reasoning skills were pretty messed up.

Lin Yi’s gaze was fixed on the man and woman as they walked in. He didn’t leave until they entered the factory.

“Boss, do you know that woman?” Lu Ying asked after getting into the car.

“Which woman?”

“The woman in the short skirt.”

“Why would I know her when she looks like that?”

“Then why are you hiding from her?”

“Because the Black Range Rover was previously parked at the entrance of Cisco’s factory. Now, it came here. It feels a little strange.”

Lu Ying suddenly understood. “Do you think they might be from Cisco?”

“It’s just a guess. I don’t know what exactly happened. I have to check it out.”

Lu Ying’s mind was a little muddled. She’d probably never be able to learn how to do business in her entire life. She’d better stay as a researcher.

Lin Yi sent Lu Ying back after they left the factory.

“I’ll leave the building to you guys. As for the planning, you and Sun can decide by yourselves.” Lin Yi said before Lu Ying got out of the car. “In any case, we need to put the photolithography project on the agenda as soon as possible.”

“Got it.” Lu Ying said seriously.

“What about Shen Tianzhuo? With him around, the photolithography project will go twice as smoothly with half the effort. I can’t speak for the rest, but at the very least, his presence will greatly shorten the research and development cycle of our project. His value is self-evident.”

“Just leave it to me. I’ll go to America soon and see if I can get him.”

Lin Yi didn’t know much about Shen Tianzhuo, so he could only do his best.

After all, this man wasn’t someone to be trifled with.

Lin Yi sent Lu Ying back and dialed He Yuanyuan’s number.

“What’s up?”

He Yuanyuan didn’t stand on ceremony. People who didn’t know the situation would think that she was the boss.

“Help me investigate a car. The license plate number is Zhonghai A34921. It’s a black Range Rover. Find out who the owner is.”

“Boss, I’m the CFO of the company, not a detective.” He Yuanyuan complained. “A few days ago, you asked me to investigate Shen Tianzhuo, and now you want me to dig up a car…”

“500,000 dollars.” Lin Yi said

“I didn’t mean anything by it. The boss’s words are an order, and I won’t refuse. It’s as if I’m asking you for money.” He Yuanyuan said.

“Alright, in that case, the money’s gone. Do your job well. I have faith in you. This is a gift from me to you. Be sure to cherish it.” Lin Yi said.

He Yuanyuan, “???”

‘Can I swear?’

Lin Yi didn’t give He Yuanyuan a chance to speak before hanging up the phone.

After arranging the things in front of him, Lin Yi leaned back into the chair and closed his eyes to rest.

The ultimate mission for the teacher profession had been completed. He could start the ultimate mission for the Didi driver profession now.

Thinking of this, Lin Yi rubbed his palms together.

It wasn’t because of how attractive the ultimate reward was, but because he could start a new profession after completing this mission.

It was quite interesting to think about being a doctor.

Ring, Ring, Ring…

Just as Lin Yi was about to close his old profession, his phone rang. It was a call from Ji Qingyan.

“Teacher Lin, are you busy?”

Lin Yi listened carefully. There was some noise around her, as if he wasn’t in the office.

“Nothing at all, I’m bored to death.”

“Hehe, I’m at Wanda Plaza. If you’re free, come pick me up.”
