Global Cataclysm: Start building a floating island

Chapter 20 The flames of war subsided

Chapter 20 The flames of war subsided
The flames danced in the clear eyes of the two, reflecting scarlet.

After a long time, Lin Ye stood up and said slowly, ”My secret is too shocking, I’m afraid you won’t be able to bear it!”

While speaking, the surrounding wind was gradually filled with killing intent.

But Cheng Bei, who was standing opposite, was not afraid at all, and still smiled calmly:
”I don’t know what purpose you have for appearing here, but I don’t want to get involved in an inexplicable danger for no reason.

Especially Nan Xiao!
She is a very smart girl, but she can be stupid occasionally. I don’t want her to be taken advantage of! ”

At this moment, Nan Xiao ran up from the corridor. She noticed that something was wrong with the atmosphere in front of her, so she said in surprise:
”What are you talking about, so serious?”

Lin Ye did not respond to her, but took a step forward, walked to Cheng Bei’s side, bowed his head and whispered in his ear:

”This is not like those ordinary floating islands, nor is it a refugee camp in the doomsday. If you want, please treat it as your home!”

He looked away, then turned back to the stairs with a smile on his face.

When passing by Nan Xiao’s side, he intentionally said loudly:

”Just now Cheng Bei said you were a bit stupid!”

”Ah, Xiaobei! What do you mean!” Nan Xiao immediately rolled up her sleeves and rushed over when she heard this.

The stagnant atmosphere on the terrace became lively again.

Lin Ye walked on the stairs, his brows gradually relaxed.

To him, this Cheng Bei was like a double-edged sword with a hidden edge, which was very dangerous.

But through this conversation, he made it clear that this person’s sharp edge is definitely aimed at the enemy, in any sense of the enemy.

Surprisingly, Lin Ye didn’t dislike this kind of people. Instead, he was most worried about the kind of guy who kept everything hidden, looked extremely obedient, but stabbed him in the back when he was in danger.

He descended the stairs to the courtyard.

At this time, without the command of the fly bat, all the rock spiders stopped attacking and quickly moved to other places.

As the swarm of insects receded, the noisy voices ceased, and the surroundings of the villa gradually became quiet.

Except for the lingering flames outside the wall, only the howling cold wind was still telling the intensity of the battle just now.

The defensive weapon towers on the fence stopped working, and all of them entered a standby state. The drones also returned from a distance one after another and parked in the storage cabin.

Standing in the courtyard, Lin Ye checked the status of the fence and defensive weapons to see if there was any need for repairs.

The rapid sound of machine gunfire on the sentry tower had stopped, and Qin Lie, who had completed his mission, also climbed down from the sentry tower.

At this time, his face was haggard, his head was covered with sweat, and he looked like his kidneys were overdrawn.

He even took off his body armor and tactical uniform, leaving only a thin long sleeve soaked in sweat.

Seeing this situation, Lin Ye couldn’t help frowning and asked, ”I told you to go to the sentry tower to clean up the enemies. Why is it like taking a bath now?”

Qin Lie leaned on the wall, and responded with a fluffy tone: ”I... I don’t know, I feel like my whole body has been drained!”

Hearing this, Lin Ye immediately glanced at the time.

It took Qin Lie less than half an hour to use his ability since he got the heavy machine gun.

Alas, I can only hold on for so long, this young man seems to need more exercise!

He groaned in his heart, then focused his gaze and began to check the opponent’s attribute panel.

【Guards: Qin Lie】

【Age: 24】

[Physique: 24[+12]]

【Strength: 15[+2]】

【Wisdom: 8[+2]】

【Command: 11[+2]】

[Occupation: None]

[Skill: Balance of Everything LV.2]

Oh, Qin Lie’s skills have actually been upgraded!

Lin Ye didn’t expect this, he thought he would have to go through several such battles anyway.

Because only by constantly using skills, accumulating a certain degree of proficiency, and mastering the rules of skill release through long-term comprehension, can the skill level be improved, gradually upgraded and unlock more powerful attributes.

Of course, skill upgrades have nothing to do with the number of kills.

Otherwise, in his previous life, he directly drove the J-20 and dropped missiles into zombie swarms or insect swarms, killing thousands of insects in minutes.

One shot 999, full level at the beginning, so many things happened later!
Lin Ye helped Qin Lie, whose kidneys were overdrawn, into the living room, and asked him to sit and rest first, while he returned to the courtyard again, folded his arms and began to inspect the surrounding building facilities.

Lin Ye wanted to take advantage of this gap to unlock new building modules.

He opened the system interface and began to count the survival points obtained today:
【Kill zombies×882】

【Kill the Thrower × 18】

【Kill the walking dead × 1417】

[Kill the Rift Rock Spider × 3146]

[Kill flies×5]

[Kill silicon-based organisms × 5]

[Total survival points obtained: 521048]

Seeing this data, Lin Ye was stunned.

This is more than the points he got in a month, and there is even a feeling that the fishing moratorium is over, and the winter fishing on the ice lake is very rewarding.

Thousands of words can only be merged into one sentence: Good guy!
A large number of points were obtained, all concentrated in the defensive battle just now.

This is also thanks to the mysterious operation of silicon-based organisms, not only did not break through the defense line, but also took his own life in vain.

These guys who are good at sneak attacks have not undergone additional differentiation in the population.

All of them are in the same form, only of different ranks.

At present, each silicon-based creature has 3000 click kill rewards, which can be regarded as some spiritual compensation for Lin Ye.

He didn’t expect so many things to happen today, almost from morning to night.

If he didn’t have a system, he might have entered the digestive tract of alien creatures by now, no, it might have been excreted.

But having said that, what is displayed here is only the total points obtained.

You also need to deduct the cost of upgrading, repairing floating island buildings, upgrading walls and installing defensive weapons.

Then subtract the cost of modifying off-road vehicles and purchasing various types of equipment and ammunition.

After Lin Lin finally figured it out, he currently has about 26 survival points left.

After getting the idea in his mind, Lin Ye opened the main city interface, skipped the red dot mark on it, and focused his attention on the end of the panel. The flashing message reminded:

[activate new module*]
The so-called modules are actually the new functional facilities of the floating island.

Just like the defensive facilities at the beginning, the initial level does not consume survival points, and can be built directly after activation.

He clicked on the prompt, and a translucent window appeared in front of him, which listed the list of modules that can be activated at present:
Management Center: Allocate the use authority of each functional facility, draw up an operation plan for each functional facility, and modify the occupation information of the residents of the floating island.

Medical Center: Research and develop various biological and biochemical agents, establish biological laboratories for different camps, and provide effective and comprehensive treatment for the residents of the floating island.

Scientific Research Center: According to the wishes of the lord, research and develop scientific and technological products of different camps, and activate various additional attributes of the floating island.

Weapons Factory: Manufacture and upgrade related weapons according to blueprints and super chips.

Biopharmaceutical Factory: Produce various types of wartime supplies, emergency medicine, and biochemical agents that can be used to make weapons.

Wood Processing Factory: Consume all types of logs and produce wood for construction and upgrades.

Steel Foundry: Consume various metal ores to produce metal ingots for manufacturing, construction, and upgrades.

Stone Processing Factory: Consume all kinds of stone and produce stone for manufacturing, construction and upgrading.

The list shows three centers and five factories.

Although it seemed difficult to make a choice, in fact Lin Ye already had the answer in his heart.

It’s still the same problem as before. Even if a factory is built now, without materials and manpower, it’s just a decoration.

What’s more, he can accumulate expandable plots of land given by the system and annex existing factories in the future.

It saves survival points and trouble.

However, the significance of the three central facilities is different.

They are the core buildings of the floating island, which contain many practical and advanced functions.

Not only can benefits be obtained immediately after construction, but in the long run, it also has more room for development than existing human facilities, such as medical centers and scientific research centers.

Lin Ye’s idea is very simple. First set up the technology tree, and then gradually build production facilities. He is not short of the resources at 01:30.
