Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 2514: Chapter 25: Heaven Is Dead

After destroying all traces, Mo Hua still felt a lingering fear.

”Just now, what kind of causality was that? Why is Mr. Witch linked to these things?”

”What exactly is his identity...”

Mo Hua frowned.

In his mind, he reflected on the scene he foresaw during the divination and his thoughts pondered.

”Dragon Bone Chains, binding a massive fireball, like a blazing sun, suspended in the sky...”

What does this signify?

Is this Dragon Bone meant for sealing?

Mo Hua’s gaze intensified. He sensed a powerful ”seal” force from the Dragon Bone, as if someone had firmly sealed this sun-scorching causality, preventing others from peering into it.

”Which great cultivator’s method is this?”

The more Mo Hua thought, the more uneasy he felt.

”I hope peering into this great causality won’t lead anyone to my doorstep, tracing back clues.”

Although earlier, upon sensing something amiss, he decisively destroyed all divination ”mediums” to sever the ceremony, he still felt uneasy.

The troubles he already had were numerous enough.

He didn’t want to be targeted by another ”old monster.”

To be cautious, Mo Hua used a fireball to incinerate everything related to the previous divination—demon bone, fire basin—into black ash, then employed the Clear Wind Skill to disperse the ashes, only then feeling slightly relieved.

After doing all this, Mo Hua couldn’t help but sigh inwardly:

”Causality is indeed extremely perilous...”

This Great Wilderness demon bone divination skill, though he had just acquired it a few days ago, nearly led him into trouble when used to calculate a dead person.

The few number of Heavenly Mechanism Cultivators likely concerns this aspect as well.

A little carelessness, and one might calculate oneself into demise.

In his mind, Mo Hua couldn’t help but think of the great causality phenomenon of Dragon Bone Chains binding the sun-scorching fireball, and he shook his head involuntarily.

”Forget it, don’t think about it further...”

Thinking itself is a form of causality.

Thinking too much makes it easy for someone to deduce and trace back.

His Uncle had this ability.

Mo Hua forced himself to forget everything, and then chose a formation to practice, using it to calm and focus his mind and settle his emotions.

But after a moment of drawing, Mo Hua’s pen stopped, his brows furrowing again.

”Can I truly ignore it?”

Mr. Witch is from the Great Wilderness.

Although he doesn’t know what this causality specifically signifies, it’s definitely related to the Great Wilderness.

And he himself will be going to the Great Wilderness next.

This trouble is unavoidable.

Mo Hua had self-awareness; even if he doesn’t seek trouble himself, trouble will come to him.

The Evil God and Heavenly Demon both intimately concern him; he has a quintessential ”disaster attracting” constitution.

”I must find ways to clarify... While avoiding concrete causality, at least understanding what the matter is will prepare for contingencies...”

Mo Hua pondered silently, ”Then... shall I try divining again?”

Then he shook his head.

”Can’t divine further; today’s divination must have ’alerted the snake.’ Trying again would be throwing oneself into the net.”

”Heavenly Mechanism Causality is like a ’dark fog’; whoever reveals themselves first will perish first. Therefore, best not to walk the same path twice.”

”Mr. Witch’s ’cause’ has already failed; mustn’t pursue from him any further.”

If not from Mr. Witch, then from whom can I pursue?

From whom can I discern the causality of this matter without being detected?

Mo Hua pondered for a moment, but had no clue, involuntarily sighing:

”Should have kept someone alive.”

Whether Mr. Witch or the previous Sect Leader of Canglang Sect, just keeping one alive could procure some clues from them without using the Causality Skill, relying solely on formations for interrogation.

Mo Hua felt some regret.

”Too rash...”

Sometimes, being too decisive in killing isn’t necessarily a good thing.

Too quick a kill might miss crucial information.

”I wasn’t so ruthless before... It’s all the Evil Qi’s fault, clouding my mind and making me impulsive.”

Mo Hua introspected in his heart.

But thinking this now is of no help.

Both Mr. Witch and Sect Leader Duan are already dead.

Mr. Witch’s causality cannot be calculated anymore.

What else can be done?

Mo Hua closed his eyes and reviewed the entire situation from start to finish, searching for causality clues in his mind.

After an unspecified time, a flash of insight lit up Mo Hua’s mind; he suddenly opened his eyes, his eyes gleaming brightly.

”Can’t calculate Mr. Witch, then calculate myself!”

The origin of this matter was his own feeling of discord, as though something crucial was neglected.

He suspected it related to Mr. Witch, thus initially calculated Mr. Witch.

Yet the initial ”cause” resided in himself.

In other words, as long as he calculates himself about why he felt discord, and what was overlooked, perhaps he’ll receive some useful insights.

Mo Hua’s eyes brightened, hesitating no longer, he proceeded with the same strategy, using phosphorus fire to ignite wolf bone, deploying demon bone divination skill.

”What did I overlook, what did I overlook...” Mo Hua silently chanted in his heart.

Phosphorus fire flickered, patterns emerged on the wolf bone.

Causality began to flow...

Vaguely, Mo Hua saw another scene.

Within the scene was a dimly-lit room, flanked by tables and arrays glowing around the space.

And he stood alone in the room, intensely staring ahead at an unknown fog, his face shocked as though witnessing something incredible...

”Is this... a future fragment?”

”What exactly... did I see to be so shocked?”

Mo Hua frowned, involuntarily continuing the deduction, wanting to see what exactly he ”saw” in the future.
