Chapter 187 Tower Classification MeetingChapter 187 Tower Classification Meeting
This sudden visitor was Nicole, whom Rorschach was most familiar with when he was in the Tower of Omniscience, and the youngest intermediate scholar in the tower before Rorschach.

It was not until Rorschach became a senior scholar that she regained the title of the youngest intermediate scholar, but at that time this title was meaningless to her, and she was promoted to senior scholar shortly afterwards.

However, just when she was delighted with becoming a senior scholar, she discovered that Rorschach had become the youngest scholar in the history of the tower!
The value of this title cannot be compared with that of the youngest intermediate scholar in the Tower, because no one cares about the age of the youngest intermediate scholar in the history of the Tower, and the comparison is also a horizontal comparison.

But great scholars are different.

Since the establishment of the [Tower of Omniscience], the number of great scholars has always been countable. After all, most of the great scholars do not worry about dying of old age, and the reduction in staff is always due to some unexpected circumstances.

The same goes for members of the Tower Research Society, which is basically in a state of continuous accumulation.

If the Tower was not a semi-open wizarding organization, in terms of overall strength alone, it would be even stronger than the [Prison Court] and [Temple of Truth] excluding the two thrones.

Therefore, Rorschach, the youngest scholar in the Tower, is absolutely unprecedented.

”Can’t I come and visit you?” Nicole said.

”Yes, of course.” Rorschach said with a smile, ”It is my honor to have the youngest senior scholar in the tower come to visit me.”

”You’ll have no friends if you do this, Rorschach.” Nicole rolled her eyes.

She was really not happy at all when Rorschach, the youngest scholar in the Tower who was younger than her, praised her as the youngest senior scholar in the Tower. In the past, she would not be so careless about her image in front of Rorschach, but since Rorschach became a scholar, she has become a bit desperate.

”Okay, no more joking, it’s time to get down to business.” Rorschach said with a smile.

”How did you guess that I had something to talk to you about?” Nicole asked in surprise.

”Nonsense, with your personality, would you leave the tower if you didn’t have something to do? I would rather believe that you came to assassinate me than believe that you would have nothing better to do and come to visit me.” Rorschach shook his head and smiled.

”What nonsense are you talking about!” Nicole felt a little embarrassed by what Rorschach said, and immediately got back to the point, ”The next grading meeting is about to begin, and the teacher really can’t gather enough scholars who are willing to attend the meeting, so I want you to help me. Of course, if it’s really inconvenient, forget it.

Luo Xia immediately understood what he said.

The tower’s classification conference is held roughly every thousand years, and a new batch of junior and intermediate scholars will be selected.

Although you can apply for evaluation at any time, the difficulty of applying alone is much higher than that of the rating conference. Therefore, most people will not apply for evaluation alone unless they are absolutely confident in themselves or are too anxious.

It is worth mentioning that the grading conference is generally composed of three great scholars as the highest judges, plus twelve senior scholars forming the evaluation panel.

Moreover, once a great scholar has presided over a grading conference, he cannot preside over it again within three years.

As for why senior scholars are not screened in batches, it is naturally because there is no need for batch screening. The tower may not produce a new senior scholar every ten thousand years, so there is no need to have any group screening mechanism.

Nicole’s teacher, the Scholar of All Beasts, is in charge of the daily affairs of the tower. Naturally, he needs to arrange which scholars will preside over the grading meeting.

He himself would often fill in the gaps, but he had just presided over it once in the previous grading meeting, so he definitely couldn’t continue this time.

In addition, there are actually not many great scholars who reside in the tower permanently. There are only about a dozen at most, and nearly half of them are in seclusion on a daily basis.

The scholar of the University of All Beasts always has a headache when selecting judges for the grading conference, especially when he cannot fill the position.

The appearance of the new scholar Rorschach undoubtedly gave him another option, so he asked Nicole to try to convince Rorschach.

”I remember there were three great scholars judging the grading conference each year. How many are there now?” Rorschach asked.

”If you agree, then we only need two more.” Nicole said embarrassedly. ”???” Rorschach said in a daze, ”So you guys are here to get something for nothing, right? How come there is not even one left?”

”The teacher was also helpless. He had contacted all the great scholars resident in the tower, but many of them had participated in the previous three grading conferences and were unable to help. Some were in seclusion and could not be contacted.”

Nicole explained, ”The teacher is still contacting some old friends, but there is no news yet, so I can only ask you.”

Rorschach nodded: ”Okay, since you’ve made the trip in person, I’ll help you.”

”Really? Thank you so much!” Nicole said happily.

”It’s just a small favor. Senior Wanshou has helped me a lot before. Just consider it as returning the favor.” Luo Xia shrugged.

”Now we just need to find two more, victory is in sight!” Nicole waved her fist.

”Did Senior Wanshou ask the great scholar Jin?” Luo Xia suddenly remembered a question and asked.

”Of course not. How could he possibly ask that?” Nicole shook her head.

Scholar Jin is the mortal enemy of Scholar Wanshou. Although the relationship is not one of life and death, it is still a matter of face.

Let him ask the great scholar Jin, he would rather start directly.

”How about this, I’ll go back and ask, if the great scholar ’Jin’ is willing, you can help with your teacher’s work, what do you think?” Rorschach thought for a moment and gave his suggestion.

”I think it’s okay!” Nicole clapped her hands and said, ”The teacher is just embarrassed. As long as we don’t let them communicate directly, there will be no problem.”

”That’s settled then. You go back first. I’ll go to the tower after I arrange things here.” Rorschach said.

”I’m not in a hurry. I’ll just wait for you.” Nicole said.

”Okay.” Rorschach nodded.

……

a few days later.

Rorschach has returned to the [Tower of Omniscience] with Nicole, and just as he had planned, he found the great scholar ”Jin”.

To his surprise, the great scholar ”Jin” readily agreed to his request.

Looking at the stunned Rorschach, the scholar Jin, who was disguised as a doorknob, smiled and said, ”Are you wondering why I agreed so readily?”

”Do you want to annoy the Scholar of All Beasts?” Luo Xia, who had already come to his senses, said helplessly.

”Correct answer!” Scholar Jin chuckled, ”Since I agreed to be a judge, he can’t refuse, right? Then I will be hanging around him every day, and he will have to be polite to me. Tsk, thanks to you, Rorschach, for asking me, otherwise I would have had a hard time finding him.”

”...”

Facing these two troublesome seniors, Rorschach said he was very tired.
