Starting from the Wizarding World

Chapter 175 Lord of the Deep Space Star Sea!Chapter 175 Lord of the Deep Space Star Sea!

The city of Lancelot is located in the Mondo Province. It is also one of the few cities in the Mondo Province that has not yet been completely controlled by the ”aliens”.

Since the advent of Blood Day, alienation incidents have occurred one after another in various parts of the world, and the number of those ”aliens” has been increasing.

The so-called ”aliens” were actually humans originally, but under the influence of various forces, they gradually turned into monsters that were neither human nor ghost. If there were no conflicts among the ”aliens”, humans would have been wiped out long ago.

Today, cities still controlled by humans only account for about 10% of all cities, and Lancelot is one of the few surviving cities. Although there are occasional traces of ”aliens” in the city, no ”alien” group has been able to chew this hard bone so far.

As a city that was not very famous and had a small population, the reason why Lancelot survived was mainly because this city was blessed by a ”true god”!

The existence of the ’true God’ is also the main reason why the remaining humans can survive under the threat of ’aliens’.

Although no one remembers when the ’true God’ appeared, only by believing in the ’true God’ can one gain the power to fight against the ’aliens’. This has become one of the few consensuses among the remaining humans.

……

”The Lord of the Deep Space Star Sea... Tsk, what a true god.” After Rorschach received the memories of the original owner of the body, he couldn’t help but shook his head.

Today, his name is Charlotte Fabins. He is a rookie police officer of the Lancelot City Police Department and a devout believer of the church.

It is worth mentioning that in Lancelot, whenever the church is mentioned, it can only refer to the official church that believes in the ’Lord of the Deep Space Star Sea’.

It is precisely because of the protection of the ’Lord of the Deep Space Star Sea’ that the city of Lancelot has not completely fallen under the erosion of the ’aliens’.

Just as Rorschach was digesting the contents of his memory, a blond girl who looked to be about sixteen or seventeen years old with freckles on her face poked her head out from the door and said:
”Brother, I have to go to Lilith’s house to attend her coming-of-age ceremony tonight, so I may not be back. If you want to find me, you can call her home.”

The blonde girl is named Isabel Fabins. She is the younger sister of Rorschach’s current body and his only relative still alive.

Since his parents had disappeared long ago, the original owner of this body, who was ten years older than Isabel, truly lived up to the saying that an eldest brother is like a father. He took on everything in the family from the age of thirteen until he raised his younger sister.

Therefore, in Isabel’s eyes, the original owner of this body is not only her biological brother, but also her parent.

For something like this, she would definitely have to inform the original owner of the body before going out overnight, otherwise the original owner would really drive a police car to all her friends’ homes looking for her. This would not be the first time this had happened.

Isabel had learned her lesson long ago.

”Go ahead, and don’t drink too much. I’ll call you tonight to test you on math. If you can’t answer them, I’ll pick you up right away.” Rorschach glanced at his sister and said with a caring smile on his face.

”Math problems? Damn it, I won’t be able to do it even if I don’t drink. Brother, you think too highly of me!” Isabel complained.

”Stop talking nonsense and go quickly. Remember to bring the gifts with you so that people don’t think that our Fabins family is impolite!” Rorschach said again.

”I know, I know.” Isabel raised her hands in surrender.

Only after Isabel left did Rorschach finally calm down. He made himself a cup of coffee and sat on the sofa in the living room.

”Alien species invade, true gods come to the world, what a great time!” Rorschach, drinking coffee, couldn’t help but comment on this world.

At this moment, he was not present in person.

What became Charlotte was just an incarnation of him.

This is actually inevitable. After accepting the invitation from the Eighth Prison Lord Angry Soul and the Earth Emperor Blood Toad Segura, it is natural for him to come here.

However, no matter how reckless the angry soul of the Eighth Lord of Hell is, it is impossible for him to force his way into the area where the old gods’ camp is located.

If he really did that, even if he brought Segura and Rorschach with him, it would be a miracle for him to return to the six wizarding worlds alive.

After all, the Old Gods camp is no pushover.

However, the Angry Soul had actually been prepared for this. He had prepared in advance a space-time wizard formation that could project his incarnation to the area where the old gods’ camp was located, and the process would not be easily detected.

In addition, since the three of them projected their incarnations at the same time, even if their initial identities might not be together, they would at least be in the same world.

What they have to do now is to use their existing identities to find the traces left by the Great Wizard Jiying in this world, and then follow the clues to find the lair of the Great Wizard Jiying and kill him in one fell swoop!

During this period, they must not be exposed easily.

Because once it is exposed and the abnormality is detected, it is very likely to arouse the vigilance of the Great Wizard Jiying, and it will not be so easy to kill him at that time.

This is their only chance, so they must be extra cautious.

Therefore, in addition to looking for clues, it is best for them to maintain their original identities to avoid exposing abnormalities in advance.

”Where should I start looking...”

While drinking coffee, Rorschach was thinking quickly in his mind, and soon he came up with some clues.

After drinking the rest of the coffee, he stood up, picked up the key and walked out.

After half an hour.

Rorschach drove to the police station and greeted several familiar colleagues before going straight to the police station’s archives room.

After a simple registration, he began to look through the records of crimes caused by the ”aliens” in the city and quickly memorized them in his mind.

Even though this is just an insignificant incarnation of his, he is able to remember everything he sees.

”What are you looking for? Do you want me to help you find it?” When Rorschach was quickly flipping through the criminal records of the ’alien’, a kind voice suddenly came from behind him, and he was no stranger to the owner of the voice.

Old Doberman, the administrator of the archives room of the Municipal Police Department, is also one of the most senior people in the department. He is in his seventies but has not retired yet.

In addition, he has been here for decades, and although he can’t say that he knows all the files by heart, he basically knows them like the back of his hand.

Therefore, when police officers like Rorschach come to the archives to look up information, they usually ask old Doberman first.

However, because the content Rorschach wanted to check was rather sensitive this time, he did not take the initiative to ask Old Doberman, but he did not expect that the other party would still come over.

Just when Rorschach was about to say no and saw old Doberman with his own eyes, his heart was suddenly shocked!
Because his incarnation also possessed the True Prison Eyes, and Old Doberman’s information almost made him disperse this incarnation directly:
”Name: Doberman Burns (Yellow Avatar)”

”Race: Humanity, Yellow Alien”

”Position: Yellow Sequence, Sequence 4 (Old One)”

”Hint 1: You’ve been exposed!”

”Hint 2: But He obviously doesn’t want to expose you, and He is very curious about your origins, and wants to use your experiences to complete a new story.”

”Hint 3: The Old Ones have never been of one mind, and those Old Ones who want to spread their traces to the wizarding world are not actually the mainstream of the Old Ones. As for the one in front of you, He cares more about how many good stories He can create.”

”Hint 4: As long as you can keep Him interested, He will only applaud you even if you kill other Old Ones in front of Him.”

”Hint 5: His name is... The Unspeakable, the Lord of the Deep Space and Sea of Stars, the Ruler of the Wind, the Yellow King Hastur!”

……

”I run into a big boss right at the start.” After seeing old Doberman’s message clearly, Rorschach couldn’t help but sigh at his luck.

In fact, after receiving the memories of the original owner of the body, he had already realized that there was something wrong with the so-called ”true god” in Lancelot City.

Of course, there are some people with special abilities in this world. They are given different evolutionary paths by the ”true gods”. They take magic potions and perform different rituals to increase their strength in order to fight against the ”aliens”.

Starting from the lowest sequence 9, all the way down to the sequence 1 that only exists in theory, each upgrade in sequence is a huge leap.

For example, Rorschach today is a Sequence 9 Yellow Sequence ability user, which is basically the average level of the city police department.

In this era when ”aliens” are everywhere in the world, the police department, a violent agency responsible for maintaining law and order, naturally needs to have a certain amount of force.

If you are not a capable person, you are not qualified to be a police officer.

It seems that Rorschach’s guide and teacher, old Inspector Bill, is actually a Sequence 7 Yellow Sequence warrior!
Of course, in the Lancelot City Police Department, Sequence 7 can only be considered an upper-middle level.

The strongest among them is Director Ou Hunt, a Sequence 4 demigod-level Yellow Sequence ability user!
You know, even in a city ruled by ”aliens”, demigods are rare.

It is precisely because of this foundation that the city of Lancelot can continue to maintain its lifestyle before the coming of the Bloody Day in this era.

If Rorschach didn’t know the details of this world, or this group of worlds, he might actually believe these situations if he suddenly traveled through time.

But since he already knew that this group of worlds was ruled by the Old Ones, how could he believe that there were so-called ”true gods” in this world who could fight against the ”aliens” alienated by the Old Ones?

Therefore, he was absolutely certain that the ’Lord of the Deep Space Star Sea’ believed in by the city of Lancelot was most likely also an Old One!
The so-called ”true God” saving the world is nothing more than a game. He doesn’t know what the purpose is, but the result can only be like this.

As it turned out, he was not wrong.

The so-called ’Lord of the Deep Space Star Sea’ was indeed a member of the Old Ones, and he had run into him directly.

Although it is just an incarnation, the luck is outrageous enough.

Fortunately, according to the hint of the True Prison Eye, although the ’Lord of the Deep Sky Sea’ had already seen that there was something wrong with him, he had no intention of capturing him or making things difficult for him, and he did not have any ill intentions.

What the other party wants to do now is just to observe him.

As for the purpose of observation, it sounds like it is for the purpose of creating stories, and observation itself is just for finding inspiration.

”Sounds a bit like a failed author...” Rorschach realized that the other party had no intention of turning against him, so there was naturally no need for him to disperse his incarnation.

Since the Old Ones are not united, and this ’Lord of the Deep Space and the Sea of Stars’ is not an Old One who advocates a fight to the death with the wizarding world, then the other party probably doesn’t care about the Great Wizard Jiying.

As long as he could keep the other person interested, he might be able to turn him into a helper rather than a hindrance.

Thinking of this, Rorschach immediately got straight to the point and said, ”Old Doberman, you’ve come at the right time. I’m trying to find out which ’aliens’ have committed crimes here in the past twenty years, and what their characteristics are.”

”Alien crime files? Why didn’t you tell me earlier? How could such sensitive files be placed in a public area? What if they were taken away?”

When old Doberman heard Rorschach’s purpose, he immediately motioned for him to follow him.

Soon, he brought Rorschach to a small room deep in the archives room, took out the key from his pocket and opened the door of the small room.

When the door of the small room was opened, Old Doberman said to Rorschach, ”Wait for me here. I’ll get the file for you.”

”Thank you for your help.” Rorschach nodded.

”Why are you being polite to me, you little brat.” Old Doberman shook his head and cursed with a smile, then walked into the small room.

After a while, he returned with several large file bags and handed them all to Rorschach, saying, ”All the alien crime files should be in here. Just take your time to search for what you are looking for.”

Upon hearing this, Rorschach immediately took the files and expressed his gratitude to old Doberman again.

After getting the files, he didn’t waste any time and directly placed them on a rectangular wooden table not far away, spread them out one by one, and quickly flipped through them as before.

Old Doberman stood not far away, staring at Rorschach’s back with deep eyes. A hint of curiosity appeared on his face, but it quickly disappeared.

……

the other side.

Isabel left home and indeed came to her best friend Lilith’s house as she said, but the reason was not some coming-of-age ceremony.

The real reason is that they will welcome a ”messenger of God” tonight!
However, this ’envoy of God’ did not come from the ’Lord of the Deep Sky Star Sea’ believed in by the city of Lancelot, but another ’true God’ they believed in, named ’God of the Prophet of Destiny’!
Believers like them who believe in other ”true gods” are also called underground believers in the city of Lancelot, and are gray people who are not investigated or prosecuted.

This is also thanks to the ”true gods” of this world, who do not claim to be the only God, and who do not shy away from the existence of other ”true gods” in this world.

Moreover, the ’true gods’ that the human cities that survived today mostly believed in were different.

Even though Lancelot City is the territory of the ’Lord of the Deep Space Star Sea’, if underground believers who believe in other ’true gods’ come, the official church that believes in the ’Lord of the Deep Space Star Sea’ will not take the initiative to do anything to them.

Unless they commit crimes in Lancelot City or subvert the faith of the ’Lord of the Deep Space Sea’, they will be found.

To put it simply, as long as they don’t poach our employees, everything is fine.

Isabel was not originally a believer of the ’Lord of the Deep Space Sea’, even though her brother Rorschach was one, she was not.

Therefore, as another believer in the ’true God’, it was not considered an overstep for Lilith to develop her into a believer of the ’true God’ she believed in.

But what they were about to do today was a little bit beyond the line.

Once discovered by the official church of Lancelot City, both of them will be sent to the gallows!
Because they are about to hold a ceremony to welcome another ’messenger’ of the ’true God’ to the city of Lancelot, and this is no longer a gray area.

But they had no choice, because this was what the oracle required.

Unless they change their faith and betray the ’God of Prophecy of Destiny’, they have no choice but to do so.

So, Isabel made an excuse that she was going to attend Lilith’s coming-of-age ceremony and decided not to go home tonight.

If unfortunately she were to be exposed, she would try her best to avoid being discovered of her true identity, so as not to implicate her brother Rorschach.

The original owner of Rorschach’s current body doesn’t know that his sister is actually a Sequence 8 ability user, and her strength is even greater than his as a police officer!
Although she became a user of special abilities much later than the original owner of Rorschach’s current body, some things ultimately depend on talent, and her talent is obviously superior to that of the original owner of Rorschach’s current body.

”Isa, you are finally here——”

Lilith also breathed a sigh of relief after seeing Isabel.

The ceremony to summon the ’God’s messengers’ tonight requires a total of six people with special abilities. However, in the city of Lancelot, there are not so many people with special abilities who believe in the ’God of the Prophet of Destiny’. If Isabel doesn’t come, they will just be short of one person.

Fortunately, Isabel arrived in time.

”I can’t help it. I have to find an excuse with my brother before I can come out. You know.” Isabel shrugged.

”I really envy you for having a brother who cares about you so much. Unlike some people who order their sisters to do this and that all day long.” Lilith said as she glanced at the man wearing gold-rimmed glasses next to her.

The man with glasses could only smile bitterly when he heard this: ”Things like the oracle cannot be delayed, and I don’t want to rush you, but there is nothing I can do...”

Since Lilith had complained about him like that, there was no need to elaborate on the identity of the man with glasses. He was her biological brother, named McCoy.

Obviously, McCoy is also a believer of the ’God of the Prophet of Destiny’, and a Sequence 6 warrior at that!
With such strength, he is considered a strong man even in a violent agency like the City Police Department, and he can barely be considered a big shot in Lancelot City.

In addition, as the strongest believer of the ’God of Destiny’ in Lancelot City, McCoy is responsible for dispatching other believers.

Even though there were only a few people in total, and most of them would gather at their house tonight, just to welcome the ’God’s messenger’.

With the arrival of Isabel, the believers of the ’God of the Prophet of Destiny’ have basically gathered, no more, no less, exactly six people.

It was not until night fell that they began the summoning ceremony.

As they began the summoning ceremony step by step according to the oracle, they finally opened a circular unknown door.

A pitch-black hemispherical object fell out of the circular unknown door and landed on their summoning circle.

”Frog?” Lilith was a little surprised when she saw what it was.

”It’s a toad,” Isabel corrected.

”Don’t talk nonsense, you two. This is the Lord’s Messenger!” McCoy immediately stopped them and bowed to the dark toad, saying, ”McCoy greets the Lord’s Messenger!”

As the strongest believer of the ’God of Fate’ in Lancelot City, McCoy naturally knew some things that Isabel and the others did not know.

For example, the ’God of the Prophet of Fate’ they believe in has other titles, such as ’Berkeley Toad’, ’Snakebeard Baiatis’, etc., which are all different images of the ’true God’ they believe in.

Since the person they were going to welcome was the ’messenger of the true God’, it would not be surprising if his image was a black toad.

”You are surrounded.” The black toad suddenly spoke in human language.

”what?”

McCoy was stunned for a moment, but soon he realized something and asked nervously, ”Master ’Divine Envoy’, are you saying that the outside world has been surrounded?”

”Yeah, there are quite a few people outside.” The black toad nodded.

The six people in the room all changed color when they heard this!
Because this means that their summoning ritual has been exposed!
Although it is unclear how they were exposed, since they were able to be surrounded so secretly, those who surrounded them were most likely the official church of Lancelot City!
Once they are caught, the only thing waiting for them is death!
”We can’t get caught, get out!” Isabel said decisively.

She would not wait here to be caught, because as long as she was not caught, at least she would not implicate her brother.

”So... where is this?”

The black toad on the summoning formation suddenly spoke again.

”Reporting to Lord ’God’s Messenger’, this is the city of Lancelot, the territory of the ’Lord of the Deep Space Star Sea’.” McCoy replied.

”Hasta, the Yellow King... I got it.” The black toad nodded upon hearing this without asking any more questions.

Ding-a-ling-a-ling——!
Ding-ling-ling-ling-ling——!
At this moment, the phone at Lilith’s house suddenly rang.

Isabel’s expression changed slightly, and she immediately stepped forward to answer the phone. Sure enough, her brother’s familiar voice came from the other end of the phone:
”Hello, please help me find...”

”That’s me, bro.”

”Oh, is it Isa? That’s great. Let me ask you a question... Excuse me, what is 3,721 times 233?”

”...”

Isabel said with a frown, ”Stop it, brother. How can anyone answer this kind of question?”

”Wrong answer. The correct answer should be eight hundred and sixty-six thousand nine hundred and ninety-three. It seems that you really didn’t obey. I will come to pick you up now.”

”Don’t……”

Just as Isabel was about to stop him, the call was hung up.

”What’s wrong?” Lilith asked.

”Sorry, my brother is coming over now!” Isabel didn’t know what to say at this time, because the thing she was most worried about happened.

”What should we do? Can we break out?” Lilith was a little worried.

”I……”

Boom boom boom!
There was a sudden knock on the door, startling everyone!
No one in the room dared to say a word. They just looked at each other, and no one dared to act rashly.

Boom boom boom!
The knock on the door sounded again, and a voice familiar to Isabel came from outside the door: ”Don’t hide, Isa, I know you are here, open the door!”

Upon hearing this, Isabel immediately rushed to the door.

The others wanted to stop him but were too slow. Isabel had already opened the door and saw her brother outside.

”Brother, why did you come so quickly, and...you, did you see anyone around?” Isabel asked nervously.

”Are you referring to those scums of society who were wearing black clothes and looked like they didn’t look like good people?” Rorschach said casually. ”If you were talking about them, I had already chased them away when I came here. I don’t know what they were doing gathering together in the middle of the night. It was ridiculous.”

”Were they...really driven away by you?” Isabel’s face was full of surprise.

On the one hand, she thought it sounded a little far-fetched.

But on the other hand, the fact that his brother was able to arrive so smoothly has actually proved the credibility of what he just said.

”I’m a police officer. If they don’t leave, I will arrest them all and take them back to the police station. Do they dare not leave?” Rorschach said with a smile.

Isabel really wanted to say that this was not a question of whether he was a police officer or not, but if she continued to talk about this kind of thing it would only make things worse.

So she could only suppress all her surprise and prepared to leave with her brother.

”Where did this toad come from? Is it Lilith’s pet?” Just as Isabel was about to leave, Rorschach suddenly asked.

It was only then that Isabel noticed that the ”God’s messenger” they had just summoned through the ceremony had actually arrived at the door at some point, and was standing right behind her, staring at her brother at the door.

”Well, no, it is...” Isabel suddenly felt incoherent, because she didn’t want to reveal the identity of the black toad, nor did she want to offend this ”messenger of God” by talking nonsense.

So it sounds a bit incoherent.

”Really? Then let’s catch him and raise him.” In front of everyone’s shocked gaze, Isabel’s brother actually reached out and grabbed the ’envoy of God’ and stuffed him into his coat pocket.

This scene made them stunned for a moment!
”Let’s go, what are you still standing there for—”

Rorschach had already turned around and motioned for Isabelle to follow.

After her brother had walked some distance away, Isabel suddenly woke up with a start, and quickly followed him.

She was really afraid that her brother would do something excessive, which would make the ”God’s Messenger” angry. That was no joke!
Being sent to Lancelot City as a ’messenger of God’ by another ’true God’, his strength must be very strong.

In front of such a terrifying existence, with his brother’s strength of Sequence 9, he might be able to kill it with just a sneeze.

Isabel never expected that her brother would be so brave, and that the ”envoy of God” did not even resist and was captured.

This is really outrageous. It’s really outrageous!
