Chapter 268 The battle of life and death for the gods, there is no escaping it, the second real battChapter 268 The battle of life and death for the gods, there is no escaping it, the second real battle, a difficult choice!
Qin Fang was very curious about what had happened to the village chief, but she wouldn’t say anything, so he could only wait aside, surrounded by a few rabbits.

Soon after, Kasa and the others returned. Kasa held a mushroom that looked like crystal in his hands and carefully handed it to the village chief.

After examining it for a while, the village chief smiled and told everyone to disperse, then said to Qin Fang, ”Come in.”

The other tribesmen were very worried about the village chief, but they still obediently left the place, though they still gathered in the distance.

Qin Fang followed the village chief into the house, and the village chief said, ”Wait outside for a moment.”

Qin Fang was stunned, then nodded, and saw the village chief bring the ’crystal mushroom’ into the house.

A moment later, Qin Fang’s expression suddenly changed... because he sensed a strong energy fluctuation coming from the room.

He was a little curious, but after thinking about it, he decided not to rush over and peek, and instead waited outside.

The energy fluctuations became increasingly intense, and eventually, bursts of white light could be seen appearing and disappearing in the room.

After about half an hour, the energy fluctuations suddenly stopped, and Qin Fang straightened up and looked at the house.

Sure enough, the old rabbit came out shortly afterward.

Old Rabbit looked much better at this moment... but the wound that stretched almost from his shoulder to his hip was still bleeding.

”sit.”

Old Rabbit saw Qin Fang standing in the house, greeted him with a smile, and then walked to the other side of the fire pit.

”Village chief, you...”

Qin Fang hesitated for a moment before speaking.

”As you can see, he’s injured.”

Old Rabbit chuckled, his voice calm.

”Who hurt him?” Qin Fang frowned.

”Gods of other races.”

Old Rabbit calmly uttered a sentence that made Qin Fang’s expression change slightly.

”Other...deities?”

Are there other deities in this instance?
Qin Fang was stunned.

”Why do you think the Pure Land exists? Why... when a god appears in a world, even if the World Crystal is destroyed, a Pure Land can still be preserved?”

Old Rabbit suddenly asked.

Qin Fang was stunned for a moment, but before he could react, Old Rabbit had already calmly given his answer.

”Naturally, it’s because... gods are useful to the Myriad Realms Battle Domain.”

”The Gods’ Dungeon is a guiding dungeon. The Myriad Realms Battlefield is trying its best to guide living beings onto the path of law. Gods who have already embarked on the path of law... naturally have to start making contributions.”

Qin Fang was stunned and blinked.

The gods who have embarked on the path of law...have made contributions?
...What contributions?
And who will it contribute to?
Battlefield of Myriad Realms?

“Every five years, the Battle Domain of Myriad Realms summons all beings who have embarked on the path of law and can be called gods to engage in a series of life-or-death battles... My injuries were inflicted by my opponent in today’s life-or-death battle.”

The old rabbit explained the reason.

Qin Fang’s expression changed in surprise: ”A life-or-death battle every five years?”

”Not just one.”

The old rabbit calmly explained, ”Life-or-death battles, points battles... those who participate in the battles are beings from various realms who ascended to godhood around the same time. Every five years, ten battles are mandatory, and during the conquest period, participants can freely challenge others, with no upper limit. In each life-or-death battle, a victory earns 10 points, while a draw or loss yields no points... every hundred years constitutes a cycle. Finally, based on the ranking of points, participants receive a large amount of resources from the Myriad Realms Battlefield... and even have the opportunity to revive the world’s world crystal, upgrade the world, etc... that’s roughly how it works.”

Qin Fang was stunned.

...Is this even possible?
A century is considered a period?
campaign?

Infinite Challenge?

”A hundred years is the lowest level of the event, and there are millennia and ten thousand years of events... The rewards are even more generous, even beyond imagination.”

”After becoming a god through the laws, all gods will go through this stage. The difference is... the gods in the Pure Land world have mandatory life-or-death battles, and they must participate in ten battles regardless of their wishes. The gods in other normal worlds, on the other hand, do not have mandatory life-or-death battles and are relatively free.”

Old Rabbit calmly gave his introduction.

Qin Fang was shocked to hear this.

The Battlefield of Myriad Realms... a ranking battle involving gods of billions of races?

Just thinking about it made Qin Fang’s scalp tingle...

What a grand and magnificent event this is!
However, the danger is also imaginable.

Among them, the truly strong ones are probably as numerous as the sands of the ocean...

Just thinking about it made his heart tighten, and he felt waves of immense pressure.

Others are hell.

Facing any unknown opponent is a very frightening thing.

Besides... there are billions of races?

Qin Fang was speechless for a moment, and after a long while he asked, ”So... if I become a god through the laws, will I also...”

Old Rabbit nodded calmly before saying, ”So you’d better hurry. If you don’t want to go through ten life-or-death battles every five years.”

……

The conversation with Old Rabbit didn’t last long. Old Rabbit seemed to have used the crystal mushroom to treat his injuries slightly, but he was still clearly somewhat listless... According to Old Rabbit, his wounds still contained the power of laws, and the crystal mushroom could only be considered a healing medicine, but it was far from being able to completely remove the alien law power.

It will probably take her more than a month to completely remove the power of the laws from the wound.

Qin Fang didn’t bother her anymore, but he was clearly in a heavy mood when he left.

The more information he received from Old Rabbit, the heavier his heart became.

The laws, becoming a god... these are now his most pressing matters.

Time is running out...

……

Back at the Mushroom House, Qin Fang returned to the Upside-Down Cloud Realm and began searching for suitable skill references.

Fortunately, he did have a lot of professional skills. Eventually, he actually found a similar awakening skill...

The epic class ’Storm Berserker’s’ awakening skill instantly unleashes forty-nine blade beams that slash around.

It barely qualifies as such.

The cooldown time for the Awakening Skill is half an hour. Qin Fang calmed his mind and then used the Awakening Skill.

With a thought, a warrior phantom over twenty meters tall appeared above his head. The next moment, his body began to move uncontrollably, and the phantom above his head moved along with it.

At this moment, Qin Fang keenly sensed a fluctuation.

...As he cultivated the source energy, his genes and cells evolved. He was no longer an ordinary person and could clearly sense things he couldn’t sense before.

Qin Fang calmly reflected on his thoughts.

”So that’s how it is...this fluctuation...”

He sensed a fluctuation similar to the second slash of Xunfeng, but with a more complex frequency.

He paid close attention and learned from it.

At the same time, his body automatically unleashed forty sword beams, instantly sweeping across all directions.

”There are still some differences... but the frequencies are similar.”

Qin Fang’s eyes were bright.

The afterimage vanished quickly. Qin Fang stood still, eyes closed, recalling the rhythm of the fluctuations…

……

The third strike marks the beginning of training.

Time passes little by little.

The Awakening Skill can only be used once every half hour.

After finishing using it, Qin Fang stood there recalling and reflecting on the state of mind he experienced while using it.

...Indeed, skills are very useful.

That was a fragment of the law.

The Storm Berserker is clearly a fragment of the wind-based laws. Although it differs from the Nine Slashes of the Swift Wind, certain rhythms are similar...

”So that’s it...”

”No wonder I failed before, this is how you apply force...”

Every use brings a fresh experience.

Initially, Qin Fang focused on sensing the frequency, but gradually he also noticed the techniques for generating source energy when using awakening skills.

……

Time passed by little by little.

In the blink of an eye, another month has passed.

……

One month later…

Qin Fang stood at the edge of the Upside-Down Cloud Realm, looking into the distance with a radiant gaze.

The next moment, he suddenly flashed forward, moving as fast as a whirlwind, almost disappearing into the shadows.

He then drew his long sword.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!!
In an instant, fifty-four sword lights were unleashed, each one like a bolt of lightning, brightening the sky for a moment!
During this process, he even changed direction several times. When he stopped moving, the flash of the blade disappeared.

He held the knife in his right hand, and the next moment...

’Click’...

The long sword in his hand shattered instantly.

Qin Fang looked at the long sword and shook his head helplessly.

This is the thirteenth epic longsword he has shattered.

But it doesn’t matter... He can have as many epic weapons as he wants.

It’s not in my backpack... but there’s an in-game store.

He can take the weapons listed in the store at any time.

The price is nothing more than the amount of ’internal points’ he can have as many as he wants.

Qin Fang casually tossed aside the broken hilt of his sword and let out a long breath.

”The third strike has been completely mastered...”

Three months have passed since the last real-world test.

It took two months to clear the meridians.

In the remaining month, relying on the fragments of the law, he mastered the third strike.

but……

”The fourth strike will probably be difficult...”

Qin Fang frowned.

The third strike has reached the strength of an epic-level professional awakening skill.

The fourth strike... if we have to categorize it, it’s probably a legendary class...

However, he currently only has two legendary classes, and neither of them are wind-based.

The awakening skill has absolutely nothing to do with Xunfeng Nine Slashes.

Qin Fang frowned.

Then he sighed softly.

Now I understand why the title of a ”god” is used in the beginning of a list of professions related to deities...

”I’m afraid their skill fragments are like the first six strikes of the Xunfeng Nine Slashes... Once they come into contact with the laws, they can cultivate the skills step by step. In this way, they naturally have an advantage over others...”

Thinking of this, Qin Fang felt a little heavy-hearted.

But a moment later, he shook his head.

”do not care.”

”Let’s do another round of testing first, and then we’ll see what happens next... We’ll see what happens then.”

Get the resources first!

Time is running out.

The further you go, the more difficult the cultivation becomes.

I don’t know how long it will take to clear these three meridians...

What’s more, there’s the fourth strike, for which there are no shortcuts left.
With a light breath, Qin Fang left the Upside-Down Cloud Realm.

……

”Oh? We’re starting the second practical test?”

At the village chief’s house, Old Rabbit looked at Qin Fang as he walked over and raised his eyebrows.

In a month, Old Rabbit’s chest injury had healed a lot; at least the bandages had been removed.

But the wound left a hideous scar...and no hair grew back.

Qin Fang had been checking on her every few days during this period, so he knew that... this was caused by the fact that the power of the law had not been completely removed.

The wound was gaping open, revealing the torn fur and flesh inside... It looked terrifying.

Her opponent’s power of law was more difficult to deal with than she had imagined.

”Ah.”

Qin Fang nodded: ”Thank you for your trouble, Village Chief.”

The village chief didn’t say anything, but nodded at him: ”Four months is quite an achievement to have reached this level of cultivation... Have you completely mastered the Third Slash?”

”Yes.”

”Row.”

Old Rabbit nodded, and then said, ”This is your first real combat test besides the first battle. The Myriad Realms Battle Domain will give you a choice, and you must choose carefully.”

”Choose?” Qin Fang blinked.

”Regarding the difficulty of the practical test.”

Old Rabbit nodded.

”Difficulty in actual combat...”

Qin Fang’s heart skipped a beat.

”The difficulty of the actual test is naturally linked to the score. The more difficult it is, the easier it is to get a high score.”

Old Rabbit explained: ”First is the ’normal difficulty,’ which is basically the difficulty of the first actual battle... The panel is blocked, but it can be broken at any time. As long as you’re not stupid, there’s almost no danger.”

”Secondly, there is the ’Hard Difficulty’ mode, where the panel is blocked, but the strength of the opponents you face will increase, and the panel can only be unblocked after certain conditions are met... such as killing a certain number of corrupted opponents.”

”Finally, there’s the ’Death or Death’ difficulty. The opponents are stronger than ever... and there are even bosses among them, just like the one I encountered in the actual battle that day... and there are even stronger ones. The time limit is increased from 24 hours to 72 hours... during which the panel disappears, and you can’t get any help from the panel... even if you die.”

”It’s important to remind you that this isn’t the first real-world test... The first real-world test is the safest test. Its purpose is not to unleash the test subject’s potential, but to test their talent and to familiarize the facilitator with real-world experience.”

”So you were able to get a ’Good+’ rating in your first match.”

”But things are different now. Now you are the one who took the initiative to propose a practical test. So the purpose of the Myriad Realms Battle Domain has changed from testing talent and guidance at the beginning to the goal of maximizing the potential of guidance.”

”There is great terror between life and death.”

”The Battle Domain of Myriad Realms believes that only when living beings face life and death can they unleash their strongest potential.”

”Therefore, gods must wage a life-or-death battle every five years.”

“This is especially true for leaders.”

”So, if you’re at this stage and still choose the ’easy level’... the rating cap is fixed. At most, it’s only ’poor’ +... that’s the upper limit for the ’easy level’.”

”If you only get a ’poor+’ rating, then you will most likely not be able to obtain the subsequent cultivation techniques this time... three advancements, or three cycles of meridian opening... or even the core condensation technique.”

”As for the difficulty level, the upper limit has been increased, but it can only reach ’Good+’ at most.”

”The difficulty level of the ’Life or Death’ challenge is far higher than these three. As long as you survive, the minimum score is ’Excellent-’... and once the score reaches ’Excellent-’, there will be additional rewards. For example... core condensation materials, etc.”

So, choose the difficulty level you want.

”Once a choice is made, the difficulty can only be increased, not decreased. So... be careful.”

Old Rabbit’s words left Qin Fang looking bewildered.

Is there such a thing?

Then he fell into deep thought.

It’s obviously impossible to go to the easy difficulty... because Old Rabbit made it very clear that even if he passed the test, he would only get a ’poor+’ grade, and there’s a high probability that he wouldn’t be able to obtain subsequent cultivation resources... so what’s the point of taking the test?
Therefore, you can only choose between the ’difficult’ and ’life or death’ modes.

The level is difficult to pass, but you can basically obtain the resources for subsequent cultivation.

But life and death... seem to offer more advantages?
But it is also very dangerous!
...That boss that day, he only lasted 3.04 seconds.

Although he was confident that he was much stronger now than he was two months ago, he dared not say that he could definitely beat that monster.

Moreover... it’s obvious from listening that there can’t be only one monster in a life-or-death situation.

Instead, there are many.

There are even stronger ones.

If the control panel is completely blocked... that would be extremely dangerous.

Qin Fang tended to favor difficulties that offered a better chance of being controlled.

Just as he was about to speak...

But then he stopped.

His brows were furrowed.

Is it really necessary to choose the difficult option?

Although there is a high probability that subsequent resources can be obtained.

but……

After a long silence, Qin Fang asked, ”What are the extra rewards for an ’Excellent’ or higher rating? Will they be helpful for cultivating the Nine Slashes of Xunfeng?”

Old Rabbit raised an eyebrow, then calmly said, ”Yes, and it’s very large. You could even say it’s irreplaceable.”

Irreplaceable?

Qin Fang’s heart skipped a beat.

He fell into deep thought and hesitation.
