Chapter 266 Practical Score, Rewards, Key Points, Darkening Crisis!Chapter 266 Practical Score, Rewards, Key Points, Darkening Crisis!
”In this practical test, you killed 2025 corrupted Ribite race members, triggering a boss fight. The boss fight dealt 0 damage and lasted for 3.04 seconds, after which you used the panel’s Law Fragment.”

Pure land.

The village chief’s house.

While poking the fire pit, Old Rabbit calmly recounted the results of Qin Fang’s practical evaluation.

Qin Fang sat on a small stool, his face dark and his expression somewhat helpless.

...He was alright at the beginning, but his performance in the boss battle was undoubtedly terrible.

”The performance in the boss battle was so-so, but thankfully... at least I wasn’t injured.”

Old Rabbit put down the iron clamps and looked at Qin Fang calmly.

Qin Fang shook his head with a wry smile: ”It was my carelessness...”

He was indeed a bit careless; he hadn’t expected such a massive entity to be so fast.

Otherwise... his performance wouldn’t have been so bad.

At least we can retaliate once or twice...

”For your first real-world experience, your performance was actually quite good.”

Old Rabbit shook his head and said, ”I saw your entire combat process. To be able to withstand the pressure and remain calm in your first combat, and to quickly accumulate experience and absorb what you have gained from your cultivation in subsequent combat... that is already quite good.”

”It’s understandable that you lost because you lack practical experience and were unsure of the strength of an enemy at the Core Condensation Realm for the first time.”

”This is only the first practical evaluation. Although it is important, it is not yet decisive. There is no need to be discouraged.”

Instead, it comforted Qin Fang.

After a moment of stunned silence, Qin Fang exhaled softly, adjusted his mindset, and nodded.

”The Battlefield of Myriad Realms still rates your performance in this practical test as ’Good+’. The following rewards will be based on your performance in this test.”

Qin Fang’s eyes lit up, and he nodded.

”First is the ’Source Energy Cultivation Technique’. You previously obtained the ’Advanced Source Energy Cultivation Technique’, and this reward goes a step further, granting you the ’Second Advanced Source Energy Cultivation Technique’... After completing the cultivation, your source energy will increase from 10 units to 100 units.”

Qin Fang’s eyes lit up slightly.

Second-stage advanced Source Energy Cultivation Technique?
This name... is really perfunctory.

But the effect was quite good, with the total source energy increasing tenfold again!
Having experienced real combat, he has come to understand the role of the Source Energy Cultivation Technique.

Ten units... that won’t work in a protracted war.

100 units...

This is enough to significantly enhance his ability to fight in prolonged battles!

”Then comes the ’Meridian Clearing Technique.’ This reward unlocks the ’Second-Advanced Meridian Clearing Technique’... You should have already seen it. After mastering the first technique, haven’t you completed the first stage of Meridian Clearing? This Meridian Clearing Technique allows you to advance to the second stage... Only with the second stage of Meridian Clearing can you perfectly unleash the power of the ’Second-Advanced Source Energy Cultivation Technique’... Otherwise, even if you have 100 units of source energy, you can’t fully utilize it even if you’re only at the first stage... Otherwise, your meridians won’t be able to withstand it, and you’ll injure yourself before you can harm the enemy.”

Qin Fang nodded upon hearing this.

Indeed, a cultivation level of one stage of meridian opening is just right to withstand the speed of 10 units of source energy.

If the amount of source energy increases, but the cultivation level of meridians doesn’t improve... it’s like a million-strong army crossing a single-plank bridge; the ’quantity’ is sufficient, but the ’path’ is too narrow, so it’s useless.

If a million-strong army tries to cross a single-plank bridge at the same time, the bridge might collapse before the army even gets across.

These two things complement each other.

”Thirdly, there’s the Nine Slashes of Xunfeng... Have you learned the second slash yet?”

The old rabbit asked.

Qin Fang shook his head helplessly upon hearing this: ”I’ve barely found a pattern... but the second strike is several times more difficult than the first. I can occasionally manage to use it... but it’s not consistent.”

After he completed the first stage of meridian opening, he only had five days left to practice the second stage. In those five days, he barely managed to get a feel for it and successfully executed it once or twice... but it was very unstable.

The rhythm and cadence became increasingly complex as the game progressed, and Qin Fang had not yet mastered it perfectly.

”Well, this time it’s also a ’Good+’ rating, so you’ll be awarded the third slash... There are still many tests to come, and you will encounter increasingly stronger opponents, such as that boss from today... There are even stronger ones. The Nine Slashes of Xunfeng is your only offensive weapon right now, so you’d better hurry up.”

The old rabbit nodded and then gave a warning.

Qin Fang was startled upon hearing this… There were still tests? And on a large scale?
He took a deep breath and nodded: ”Yes, I understand.”

”These are the three rewards for a ’Good+’ rating... But don’t rush, this is the time for you to build a foundation, and these are for you to use to build that foundation. If you can maintain a ’Good+’ rating in subsequent tests... the gains will be substantial.”

Old Rabbit concluded.

After nodding, Qin Fang couldn’t help but ask, ”How many more tests like this are there? And how long will I have to stay here?”

”Your stay time is up to you. Once you’ve mastered the third strike of the Xunfeng technique, you’ll be able to freely enter and leave this place.”

Qin Fang’s eyes lit up: ”The third strike?”

Old Rabbit calmly nodded: ”The third strike. But I must remind you... After you leave and re-enter, you will lose the special status of ’first-time guide’... At that time, not only will the difficulty of various assessments increase, but the scoring criteria will also change. For example, if your current performance is ’Good+’, but after you leave and re-enter with the same performance... the score given by the Myriad Realms Battlefield will be greatly reduced. It is very likely that you will only receive ’Good’, or even ’Poor+’ or ’Poor’... Then the rewards you can obtain will naturally be reduced a lot.”

”For example, your performance this time rewarded you with the ’Second-Advanced Source Energy Cultivation Technique’, but if your score drops, then this reward may not be the ’Second-Advanced Source Energy Cultivation Technique’, but you will need to accumulate scores... For example, you need to complete another ’Good’ or even ’Good+’ rating before you can obtain this ’Second-Advanced Source Energy Cultivation Technique’.”

Old Rabbit paused for a moment before saying, ”The identity of the first guide is very important... This identity will be retained for five years. During these five years, as long as you don’t leave in the middle, it will be considered the first guide. But after five years, this identity will disappear... Leaving in the middle will also cause it to disappear.”

”You should understand what this means to you... Your world... has less than three years of protection left, right?”

Qin Fang’s heart skipped a beat.

A special identity for the first guide?
Does it enhance the rating?

Does the effect disappear if you leave midway or if it exceeds five years?
He frowned.

Then Old Rabbit continued calmly, ”Source Energy Cultivation Techniques and Meridian Unblocking Methods are actually just basics... With your accumulated experience, these are not problems. As long as you achieve the required evaluation and obtain cultivation methods, you can improve rapidly.”

”The real key lies in the Nine Slashes of Xunfeng... The Nine Slashes of Xunfeng is a supreme technique that directly targets the ’Wind Law.’ You must at least master the sixth slash to barely touch the threshold of the law. Only when you reach that point... will your departure have any meaning.”

”Otherwise, if another god doesn’t appear in your world three years from now... then the present state of Planet Ribite will most likely be the future of your world. It might even be worse... because without a god, your world can hardly even preserve its sanctuary. And even if you stayed here then, you could only stay for two more years... After two years, if you fail, you will still be forcibly teleported away from here and returned to your world. At that time... without the protection of your world, under the invasion of dark and chaotic energy, you will sooner or later become like those Ribite people outside, losing your mind and turning into a monster.”

Qin Fang’s expression immediately changed to one of shock: ”An invasion of dark, chaotic energy?”

Old Rabbit calmly said, ”It’s the black mist that wraps around those Ribits outside... you’ve seen it. Worlds that haven’t been destroyed have the protection of the world, and living beings are not affected by the dark and chaotic aura. But once a world is destroyed and loses this protection, the living beings belonging to that world cannot escape the invasion of this dark and chaotic aura.”

”Can’t I even hide in your sanctuary?” Qin Fang asked hastily.

”No.”

Old Rabbit shook his head: ”As long as you are still within the scope of the Myriad Realms Battle Domain, you can’t escape it... unless you comprehend a trace of the law. Once you comprehend the law, not only can you yourself escape this invasion, but you can also protect a pure land for your people... Of course, the premise is that your people are still alive. But this protection... is very limited.”

At this point, Old Rabbit’s eyes dimmed, clearly thinking of the current situation on Planet Ribite.

”Why is this happening?”

Qin Fang couldn’t help but ask in a low voice.

Old Rabbit paused, then shook his head: ”I don’t know the specific reason either. It involves a great secret of the Myriad Realms Battle Domain... I only know the outcome. So... cultivate diligently. Otherwise, if the world is destroyed and you cannot comprehend the laws, you will inevitably be invaded by darkness and become a monster... You won’t be able to escape.”

Qin Fang’s expression immediately turned ugly. So...that’s how it is?
His expression kept changing, and he couldn’t say a word.

After a long while, he took a deep breath and calmed himself down.

”What about the test? When will I have my next test?”

Qin Fang asked.

The old rabbit looked at him calmly and said, ”There are no requirements for the number of tests or the time. Except for the first assessment, which must be taken one month after you begin your cultivation, all the remaining assessments are up to you... You can even apply to take the test again right now.”

“But that doesn’t make sense.”

”Moreover, with each additional assessment, the evaluation method of the scoring system will change accordingly. For example, in your first assessment, you killed more than two thousand corrupted Ribite tribe members and achieved a ’Good+’ rating. But if you get the same result in your second assessment... then it will most likely be ’Good’. After three assessments, it might fall to ’Poor’...”

”Therefore, the best way for you is to first digest all your current gains... reach the point where you can’t make any further progress, and then apply for the test... in this way, you can maximize your score improvement... and thus obtain better resources.”

Qin Fang was stunned upon hearing this, then suddenly realized.

”So... cultivation speed is also one of the key factors in the scoring, right?” Qin Fang asked.

The old rabbit nodded upon hearing this.

Otherwise, the first test wouldn’t be fixed at the beginning of the month of cultivation... The level of cultivation achieved within a unit of time is obviously one of the key data.

……

Qin Fang then chatted with Old Rabbit for a while, asking him some questions. After receiving his reward from Old Rabbit, Qin Fang left Old Rabbit’s house.

He walked down the street with a heavy expression.

The information obtained from Old Rabbit this time is undoubtedly very important.

Once the world is destroyed, all living beings in that world will be afflicted by darkness... unless a god appears to protect a pure land.

But now, there are no gods on Earth.

And he himself is far from being a god...

But only three years remain!

If he fails to become a god three years later... then he too will be invaded by darkness and turn into a monster devoid of reason!

There’s no way to escape!
...He never imagined he would become a monster...

Old Rabbit’s reminder instantly brought him to his senses.

He frowned deeply.

He turned to the dark side, lost his mind, and became a monster...

He clenched his teeth tightly.

The sense of urgency in my heart reached its peak.

Only a little over two years left...

He quickened his pace, returned to the Mushroom House, and entered the ’Upside-Down Cloud Realm’!
……

”Second-stage advanced source energy cultivation method...”

Qin Fang looked at the manual.

I took a deep breath and started reading carefully.

An unprecedented sense of urgency swept over us.

Because he couldn’t be sure whether his profession would prevent him from turning to the dark side...

But after thinking about it carefully, he felt that it was unlikely to work.

After all, none of the current professional skills describe this aspect.

According to Old Rabbit, he will inevitably be kicked out of this instance in five years... whether he likes it or not.

The protection period has less than three years left.

In other words... he didn’t have five years.

If the sixth strike is not completed within three years, the destruction of the world will be unavoidable.

He will most likely turn to the dark side too!
This sense of urgency made it difficult for him to even continue his cultivation for a while.

After a long while, he stopped, feeling agitated.

Looking up at the sky above the inverted cloud formations.

Blue sky, white clouds, phoenixes and cranes dance in the air.

He stared blankly.

After a long while, he finally let out a long breath and gradually calmed down the agitation in his heart.

”If such a little pressure makes me hold back, then there’s no point in studying. I’ll definitely turn evil in three years.”

”No matter what lies ahead, I will keep moving forward. Even if I fail, at least I tried!”

Qin Fang’s gaze gradually hardened.

The intense sense of urgency and pressure caused him to lose his composure for a time.

But he quickly recovered.

And they became increasingly determined.

After closing his eyes and breathing for a while, Qin Fang’s mindset completely calmed down.

Then, he began to seriously study the ’Second-Stage Source Energy Cultivation Method’...

”This second-stage Source Energy Cultivation Method... is indeed of the same origin as the previous two Source Energy Cultivation Methods, but it is much more refined... So that’s how it is...”

As he watched, a look of bewilderment gradually appeared on his face.

Soon after, he closed his eyes and, following the new ’Second-Stage Source Energy Cultivation Method,’ sensed and absorbed source energy...

The brand-new second-stage source energy cultivation method absorbs source energy in a completely new way. The vibrations in the muscles and genes seem to resonate with the source energy around them, greatly increasing the speed and amount of source energy absorbed from heaven and earth.

More and more, stronger and stronger.

The energy units within his body are increasing.

10 units, 11 units, 12 units...

His body emitted bursts of white light...
