Chapter 256 True Cultivation! Open Source Realm Mortal Realm Perfection! The Scoring System and WeapChapter 256 True Cultivation! Open Source Realm Mortal Realm Perfection! The Scoring System and Weapon Selection of the Myriad Races Battlefield
Name: Qin Fang

Occupation: Boss

[Rank: Tier 3, Level 90]

[True Cultivation Level: Open Source Realm (Perfect Mortal Realm)]

……

Qin Fang stared blankly at the panel, where a new line of description, ’True Cultivation Level’, had appeared.

”This is true cultivation level...”

He looked up at the old rabbit.

The old rabbit calmly said, ”You are now a being of flesh and blood, and in addition to your class on the panel, you also have your own cultivation level. True cultivation level, of course, refers to your actual cultivation level... What realm are you in now?”

After glancing at it, Qin Fang honestly replied, ”Perfected Mortal Realm...”

Old Rabbit nodded. ”No doubts?”

Qin Fang was stunned for a moment, then hesitated and said, ”This is my first time cultivating Source Energy, how could I have already... reached perfection?”

Old Rabbit laughed: ”This is what I mentioned before, the monetization of the gains from the career panel.”

Qin Fang was stunned.

”Your professional stats are very strong. I don’t know what special opportunities you have had, but the Battlefield of Myriad Realms is very fair. As long as you obtain it and you don’t die, it belongs to you.”

”However, the vast majority of living beings are puppets throughout their lives, and this power can only be used and can never be ’fully realized’... But living beings who embark on the true path of cultivation can realize this accumulation.”

”Although this is your first time cultivating, the ’Open Source Realm’ is a process of accumulation. The various rewards you obtained from running dungeons and secret realms and killing all kinds of monsters have fully satisfied this accumulation. Therefore, the Myriad Realms Battlefield panel naturally fulfilled your request, allowing you to skip the three accumulation stages of ’Initial Realm, Middle Realm, and Advanced Realm’ and directly reach perfection.”

”You’re only practicing for the first time, yet the power you’ve gained is so great that you can’t control it. Don’t you find that strange?”

”It’s because of the panel’s infusion that you’ve improved too much... because you’ve skipped the process of accumulation and familiarization.”

Upon hearing this, Qin Fang suddenly realized something...

Just say it.

How could my progress be so terrifying on my first attempt at cultivation? My control over my power is completely out of balance!

It turns out that, unbeknownst to him, the Battlefield of Myriad Realms had already helped him complete the accumulation process...

“If you wish, you can actually break through the ‘Open Source Realm’ and enter the second realm, the ‘Unblocking Meridians Realm’, at any time right now… but I don’t recommend you do that,” Old Rabbit said.

”The Meridian Opening Realm?”

Qin Fang blinked; it was yet another unfamiliar term.

”The Open Source Realm allows you to gain initial mastery of source energy. This source energy will cause a subtle evolution in your genes and other aspects, greatly increasing the density of your bones and muscles, and making your physique stronger in all aspects.”

”The ’Meridian Unblocking Realm’ is about condensing source energy, then widening, opening up, and strengthening all the meridians in your body. This allows the source energy to flow freely and unimpeded throughout your body. At that time, the source energy will be like a surging river, endlessly flowing...”

”Although you now possess source energy, this source energy is scattered throughout your body. In this situation, it’s like a group of scattered soldiers, and the power they can unleash is very limited.”

”Only by ’uniting into a cohesive force’ can the power of source energy be truly enhanced.”

”But you can’t do it now because your meridians haven’t been opened and strengthened yet. Forcing them to work could even damage your meridians, hurting yourself before you hurt the enemy.”

Old Rabbit explained carefully.

Qin Fang listened in a daze, staring at his own hands.

Indeed, he could feel the peculiar energy within his body, which was distributed throughout his entire body and had not coalesced into a rope.

He could use this power, but the process of mobilizing it was indeed somewhat difficult; there seemed to be some obstacles, making it difficult to operate freely.

If forced to operate, it may even cause a slight ’stinging’ sensation.

So, this is why the ’meridians’ haven’t been expanded and strengthened?

“Source energy is like individual soldiers. If soldiers cannot be organized into an army, their combat power will naturally be greatly reduced. The process of expanding and strengthening the meridians throughout the body is like opening up wide military roads within your body. Once successful, any area of the body can mobilize a large number of ‘source energy soldiers.’ In this way, strength will naturally increase greatly.”

Old Rabbit continued, ”But I don’t recommend you start now, because there are specific techniques for expanding and strengthening your meridians. It’s not too late to start after you’ve acquired a decent meridian-opening technique.”

”Moreover, what you are currently practicing is only the ordinary ’Source Energy Cultivation Method’. The ordinary ’Source Energy Cultivation Method’ has very limited effect on the evolution and development of the body, and the process of ’strengthening’ and ’expanding’ the veins will consume a lot of source energy. Your current source energy is not enough to support you to complete one expansion... It’s not impossible to do it in multiple sessions, but it may leave some minor flaws, which will have a significant impact on the future.”

”The more your body’s potential is developed, the further your genes go on the path of evolution, and the stronger your physique becomes. Once you reach the Meridian Opening Realm, you will have a stronger foundation and more source energy to use.”

”You’ll understand once you obtain the Meridian Opening Technique; I won’t go into details now.”

”In short, the stronger the foundation, the easier it will be to move forward.”

”It’s like building a skyscraper on an empty plot of land, which requires far less effort than rebuilding on a site where a building has already been erected. It’s also much simpler and more stable.”

Qin Fang nodded at Old Rabbit’s words.

Then he took a deep breath and asked, ”How can I obtain a better method of cultivation?”

He remembered Old Rabbit saying that there were ways to obtain better methods.

The old rabbit looked at him and said, ”I will give you this when the time comes, don’t worry.”

”The Divine Realm instance is a guiding instance, designed to guide the beings who enter here onto the path of the laws. So the test actually begins from the moment you enter the instance. However, due to the rules, I can’t tell you too much, I’ll just briefly mention one thing... If possible, try to solve the problems you encounter on your own. If you come to me... although I can solve them, your performance score may drop as a result... It’s like, when you cultivate the ’Source Energy Cultivation Method,’ I didn’t tell you about auxiliary methods for entering meditation like the ’Visualization Method’... because this is a test given to you by the Myriad Realms Battle Domain.”

”If you get through it on your own, your score will increase. If you rely on me, your score will decrease... and the rewards you receive in the end may be much lower as a result.”

”And this rating system only applies to each being entering the God’s Dungeon for the first time... So, you’d better try your best to get a higher rating.”

”If you miss this opportunity, it will be thousands of times more difficult to acquire advanced cultivation methods in the future... Don’t let this chance slip away.”

Old Rabbit’s slow, deliberate words sent a chill down Qin’s spine.

Then it dawned on me...

That’s right, I’m currently in a dungeon!
Even regular dungeons have a speedrun record and a rating system.

How could there not be a Gods’ Dungeon?
Fortunately, I didn’t give up after failing twice before, but kept trying and remembered the ’visualization method’.

Otherwise, the rating would probably be much lower now. ”Thank you, village chief, I understand... So, what should I do next? Can you at least tell me?”

Qin Fang’s eyes flashed, and he secretly decided to see what kind of reward this so-called rating system would ultimately give.

So if you have a problem, you shouldn’t easily come to Old Rabbit.

However, the question of what to do next is one that can be asked, as it clearly falls within the facilitator’s responsibilities.

He didn’t ask the other person to tell him ’how to do it,’ he just asked ’what to do.’

Upon hearing this, Old Rabbit nodded and said, ”The next step is to teach you an offensive technique. This technique does not involve laws yet; it is merely a rudimentary application of source energy in combat.”

”If ’open source’ tests your comprehension talent, then what follows will test your combat talent.”

”Not everyone who gains power will use it.”

”Especially after losing the puppet body.”

”I once guided some beings. When they were in puppet form, relying on their physical bodies and fragments of laws, and lacking the ability to feel pain or fear, they were invincible and possessed astonishing combat power. However, when they truly had to fight on their own, returning to their mortal bodies, even with the control of source energy, their performance became severely unbalanced in battle. Facing monsters, lacking the painlessness of their puppet form, they became timid and hesitant, ultimately only able to unleash two or three tenths of their full potential...”

Old Rabbit shook his head: ”This obviously does not meet the selection requirements of the Myriad Realms Battle Domain, so the final score was lowered and the reward was very small.”

Qin Fang listened, paused for a moment, then let out a soft breath, his heart beating a little faster.

He understands this.

Because he is currently facing this situation.

When in puppet form, since it feels no pain and has no vital points, it can withstand attacks and take damage without any problem. As long as it can’t kill the opponent, it doesn’t matter to it at all.

But now I am just a mortal!

If you really fight, you could get injured, or even disabled!

If it hits a vital spot, like blowing off his head... that could be fatal!
Fighting under these circumstances is completely different from fighting under a puppet body!
One person can just glance at the panel and feel confident because of the data. As long as they feel that the opponent can’t kill them in one hit, they have no fear at all.

One person, however, has no idea how strong the opponent is, how painful the blow will be, or even if they are slightly careless, they could be struck in vital areas such as the neck, head, or heart... Even if the opponent is weaker than you, they could still kill you...

The pressure in your heart will naturally arise!

The negative emotions brought about by this pressure inevitably surged up.

Palpitations, panic, fear...

Etc., etc.

This requires extremely high psychological qualities.

People with poor mental resilience may experience a complete mental blank under such immense pressure, leaving them utterly clueless about how to cope and completely ”shutting down”...

Clearly, the Law Cultivators that the Myriad Races Battle Domain needs to select are not this kind of people.

Qin Fang considered himself to have a pretty good mental fortitude... but he wasn’t so heartless that he could dance on the edge of a knife without changing his expression.

Therefore, I was somewhat uneasy.

But now there was no turning back. He took a deep breath and nodded, saying, ”I understand... So where should I fight next? Yes...”

He thought of places beyond the Pure Land.

After a moment of silence, the old rabbit calmly said, ”Just as you thought... Once you’ve mastered this offensive technique, go outside the Pure Land and fight against... my fellow races. The entire battle will be monitored by the Myriad Races Battle Domain, and your performance will be evaluated accordingly.”

”However, you don’t need to feel too much pressure... This is a rather long process, and the monitoring and scoring by the Myriad Races Battle Domain is not a one-time conclusion. In fact, for many beings, if their world is not a place of war... the Myriad Races Battle Domain will give them some time to adapt.”

”Among the beings I have guided, some initially performed poorly in battles against my own kind, almost terribly... but through repeated battles, they honed their strong hearts and wills, and in the end, the Battlefield of Ten Thousand Races gave them very high praise.”

”Only those creatures that, after experiencing battle, become even more fearful and retreat, unable to escape the shadow of fear, will ultimately receive very low scores...”

”I observe that your personality is quite calm, and you were always wary of me before... But after I took away 500 million of your health points in one blow, you didn’t show much fear towards me, but remained calm... This shows that you are also very strong inside. It’s just that you still lack the experience of real warfare, so you seem a bit immature... That’s good, keep up your current state. The Battlefield of Ten Thousand Races needs creatures like this who are calm yet decisive.”

As Old Rabbit spoke, he gave Qin Fang’s performance over the past two days a very positive evaluation.

Qin Fang hadn’t expected Old Rabbit to be so observant.

After a moment of stunned silence, he said somewhat awkwardly, ”This...you flatter me.”

Then he took a deep breath and said, ”When will you teach me how to attack?”

”Now you can.”

Old Rabbit looked at Qin Fang with his cloudy eyes, then asked, ”What are your requirements for the weapon?”

Weapons?

Qin Fang paused for a moment, then thought for a moment and said, ”I used to use daggers more often...”

”A dagger?”

Old Rabbit frowned slightly before saying, ”Weapons like daggers are only useful when using panel abilities. In a real battlefield, these short weapons aren’t very effective. Especially since you haven’t reached the point of understanding the laws yet... Once you comprehend the laws and have some understanding of them, then the type of weapon you use won’t matter. But until then... it’s best to choose a longer weapon. Because you’re currently a mortal being, you need to consider not only offense but also defense. Daggers have a short attack range and weak attack power... they’re not the best choice for you right now.”

Qin Fang was taken aback for a moment upon hearing this, then nodded: ”The spear?”

”A spear... is also a good choice. But I would recommend a knife instead.”

”Knife?”

Qin Fang blinked and looked at Old Rabbit.

Old Rabbit calmly said, ”Although the spear is longer, it requires more skill and strength in combat. Both skills and strength need to reach a certain level for the spear’s power to be unleashed. For beginners, the knife is actually the best choice. Its length is suitable for chopping, slashing, thrusting, parrying, blocking, and blocking... It has more versatility than the spear and is more suitable for beginners.”

”Of course, this is just a suggestion; the final choice is yours.”

Upon hearing this, Qin Fang acted decisively.

”Then I choose the knife.”
