Milf Hunter: Seducing And Taming Beauties

Chapter 1146: Desperate Kiss in the Hospital Bed

Fumiko’s hand fell to her side, her tears falling faster. ”I’ll leave...” She turned toward the door, her steps heavy, her shoulders slumped. ”But Kasumi...” She paused, her voice trembling. ”Please... forgive me... someday...”

Kasumi didn’t answer. She couldn’t. Her gaze was fixed on me, her fingers tracing the lines of my palm, her voice a broken whisper. ”Jack... please wake up...” Her forehead pressed against my hand, her tears soaking into the sheets.

”Please... I need to see you. I need to yell at you. I need to hug you...” Kasumi’s voice cracked, her body wracked with sobs, her fingers trembling as they clung to my hand. The warmth of her skin seeped into mine, her tears dripping onto the white hospital sheets, turning them translucent in spots. ”I need to tell you... that I love you too...”

Her confession hung in the air, a fragile, trembling thing. And in that moment, I couldn’t bear it any longer.

I made the subtlest movement—a twitch of my fingers against hers. Kasumi froze, her breath catching in her throat as if she’d been struck. Her grip tightened, her eyes widening as she stared at my hand, her mind racing.

[Did I imagine that?]Then, slowly, as if afraid to break the spell, she lifted her gaze to my face.

I opened my eyes.

The first thing I saw was Kasumi—her face streaked with tears, her eyes red and swollen, her lips parted in shock. The relief in her expression was so overwhelming that it was almost painful to witness. ”Jack...?” My name on her lips was a prayer, a plea, a whisper of disbelief.

I blinked slowly, my voice hoarse, as if I were still half-asleep. ”Oka-san... you?”

Kasumi’s breath hitched, her hands flying to her mouth as if to stifle a sob. ”Jack...” Her voice was a broken whisper, her tears falling faster.

”I—I’m sorry... I’m fine...” She shook her head violently, her words tumbling out in a rush. ”There’s no problem with my heart. It was all Fumiko’s idea... to test you...”

I let my expression shift—first to shock, my eyes widening, my mouth falling open as if the words had physically struck me. Then, just as suddenly, I forced myself to calm, my features softening into something like relief.

My voice was rough, but steady. ”What?” The word was sharp, laced with disbelief. Then, as if a weight had been lifted, I exhaled, my shoulders sagging. ”It’s good... It’s good... It’s not true.” I swallowed hard, my gaze locked on hers. ”I’m glad you’re healthy, Oka-san... I...”

My voice trailed off, but the words hung between us, heavy with unspoken meaning—love, fear, regret, and something deeper, something that felt like fate.

Kasumi’s tears continued to fall, her hands trembling as she reached out, her fingers brushing against my cheek as if she needed to confirm I was real, that I wasn’t a ghost or a figment of her shattered imagination.

”Jack... you idiot...” Her voice was a mix of laughter and sobs, her relief so overwhelming it bordered on hysteria. She let out a broken chuckle, her breath hitching as she pressed her forehead to mine, her skin warm against my own.

”You scared me...” Her voice cracked, her fingers tightening against my face. ”I thought I’d lost you...”

I looked at her, my gaze steady, my voice soft but firm. ”Oka-san... I love you.” The words spilled out of me, raw and unfiltered, the truth I’d carried for so long finally set free. ”I regret not saying it to you before... when I heard you were dying.”

My throat tightened, the memory of that moment still fresh, still painful. ”I just... I don’t want to live with that regret.” My voice was a whisper, my eyes never leaving hers. ”I want Oka-san to know... that I love her. As a woman.”

Kasumi’s breath hitched, a blush spreading across her tear-streaked face. She let out a shaky laugh, her voice barely above a whisper. ”Still calling me Oka-san...” Her fingers traced the line of my jaw, her touch gentle, almost reverent. ”I love you too, Jack...”

But then her expression hardened, her grip on my face tightening as if she were afraid I’d disappear if she let go. ”But you...” Her voice trembled, her eyes burning with a mix of love and anger.

”How could you be so selfish?” Her voice broke, her tears falling faster. ”Even if you wanted to save me... You shouldn’t have done that.” She pulled back slightly, her hands still framing my face, her gaze searching mine.

”If something really happened to you... because of me...” Her voice was a whisper, her pain palpable. ”Do you think I would have the will to live?” Her fingers dug into my skin, her desperation raw.

”How would I face Haruna and Yuko then?” Her voice cracked, her grief and fear intertwining. ”So promise me...” Her voice was a plea, her eyes pleading. ”Promise me you’ll never do that again...”

I pretended to hesitate, my gaze flickering away for a moment before I shook my head, my voice soft but unyielding. ”I’m sorry, Oka-san...” I reached up, my hand covering hers, my thumb brushing away a fresh tear. ”But I can’t promise you that.” My voice was steady, my resolve unshaken.

”I can’t live knowing I could have saved you... But I didn’t.” My eyes locked onto hers, my love and determination unwavering.

”So if there’s another chance... I would not hesitate to repeat it again.” My voice was firm, my words a vow. ”And this is not a mistake...” I shook my head, my gaze never wavering. ”This is my choice.”

Kasumi’s breath caught in her throat, her eyes widening as if she’d been struck. For a moment, she just stared at me, her chest heaving, her emotions a storm of love, fear, and frustration.

Then, without warning, she threw herself onto me, her body pressing against mine, her arms wrapping around me as if she could merge us into one. ”You are a big idiot... big idiot...” Her voice was muffled against my chest, her tears soaking into my hospital gown.

And then, before I could react, she kissed me.

It wasn’t soft or gentle. It was desperate, hungry, a collision of lips and tears and years of unspoken love. Her hands gripped my face, her fingers tangling in my hair, her breath mingling with mine as if she were trying to breathe life into me.

The kiss was raw, real, and so full of emotion it felt like my heart might burst.

When she finally pulled back, her forehead rested against mine, her breath coming in ragged gasps. ”Jack...” Her voice was a whisper, her eyes closed, her tears mixing with mine.

”You can’t leave me...” Her voice broke, her grip on me tightening. ”Not like this. Not ever...”

I let out a shaky breath, my hands finding their way to her waist, pulling her closer. My voice was a whisper, my lips brushing against hers. ”I won’t... Oka-san...” My promise was a vow, my love for her a force stronger than death itself. ”I won’t...”
