Milf Hunter: Seducing And Taming Beauties

Chapter 1145: Kasumi’s Confession

I chuckled to myself, the sound bitter even to my own ears. [The plan is done.] The words echoed in my mind, a cold satisfaction settling over me. The doctors and nurses moved like puppets on strings, their actions precise, their expressions a mix of relief and professional detachment.

I ordered the nearest doctor to apply a bandage to my neck, right where the wound should have been. He didn’t question it. None of them did. Their minds were still under the subtle influence of my telepathy, their movements mechanical, their thoughts muted.

The doctor pressed the sterile white bandage against my skin, the adhesive cool against the unbroken flesh beneath.

As soon as it was in place, I dismissed him with a wave of my hand. ”Go out and tell Kasumi the surgery was successful. Tell her I was saved. And transfer me to the ward.”

The doctor nodded, his face blank, and left the room with the nurses trailing behind him. A moment later, I heard his voice, steady and reassuring, carrying through the door. ”The patient is out of danger. We are shifting him to the ward. You can visit him there.”

Kasumi and Fumiko let out a collective, shuddering breath, their bodies sagging as if the weight of the world had been lifted from their shoulders. Kasumi’s hands flew to her mouth, her tears spilling over as she whispered, ”Jack is safe... Jack is fine... Thank God...” Her voice was thick with relief, but beneath it, I could sense the lingering fear, the unspoken what if.

Fumiko’s tears fell silently, her hands trembling as she clutched them together.

The stretcher began to move, the wheels squeaking softly against the linoleum floor. I kept my eyes closed, my breathing shallow, my body limp.

The nurses pushed me forward, their voices low and professional. ”He is still unconscious. He will wake up once the anesthesia wears off.”

Kasumi’s footsteps were quick, her presence a warmth at my side. ”Jack... Jack...” Her voice was a broken whisper, her fingers brushing against my hand, her touch trembling. I could feel the heat of her skin, the desperation in her grip. She didn’t let go.

Fumiko followed, her footsteps heavier, her breath uneven. The stretcher rolled into the presidential suite of the hospital—a private, luxurious space reserved for the most critical or high-profile patients. The nurses transferred me to the bed, their movements gentle, their voices hushed. As soon as they left, the door clicked shut, leaving Kasumi and Fumiko alone with me.

Kasumi’s grip on my hand tightened, her voice a choked whisper. ”Jack... I’m sorry... I’m so sorry...” Her tears dripped onto the white sheets, her body shaking with silent sobs.

She leaned closer, her forehead pressing against my hand, her breath warm against my skin. ”I should have known... I should have stopped you...” Her voice broke, her guilt a physical weight pressing down on her chest.

Then, as if suddenly remembering Fumiko’s presence, Kasumi’s head snapped up. Her eyes, red and swollen, locked onto Fumiko with a fury that made the air between them crackle.

”What are you doing here?” Her voice was a low, dangerous growl, her grip on my hand tightening as if she were afraid Fumiko would try to take me away.

”Get out.” The words were sharp, final. ”I don’t want to see you. Because of you... I almost lost him.” Her voice trembled, her anger and grief twisting together into something raw and ugly. ”You wanted to kill him...”

Fumiko flinched as if struck, her face pale, her tears falling freely. ”No... Kasumi...” Her voice was a broken plea, her hands reaching out as if to bridge the gap between them, but Kasumi recoiled, her body curling protectively over mine.

”I didn’t expect him to... to commit suicide...” Fumiko’s voice cracked, her guilt suffocating her. ”I thought... I thought he would just... refuse. Or laugh it off. Or anything but this...” She pressed her fists to her eyes, her shoulders shaking. ”I didn’t know he loved you this much...”

Kasumi’s breath hitched, her gaze flickering back to me, her thumb tracing the bandage on my neck. The sight of it—the physical proof of what I’d done—made her stomach twist. She turned back to Fumiko, her voice a venomous whisper.

”You used him. You tested him. And look what happened.” Her free hand clenched into a fist, her nails digging into her palm hard enough to draw blood. ”He almost died because of you. Because of your stupid test.”

Fumiko’s knees buckled, and she sank to the floor, her back against the wall. She didn’t try to defend herself. There was nothing to say. The truth was a knife twisting in her gut. ”I know...” Her voice was barely audible, her tears soaking into the fabric of her sleeves.

”I know...” She looked up at Kasumi, her eyes pleading. ”But I didn’t mean for this to happen. I just... I wanted to see if he would fight for you. If he would choose you.” Her voice broke. ”I didn’t think he would sacrifice himself.”

Kasumi let out a bitter, broken laugh, the sound hollow. ”And what if he had died, Fumiko?” Her voice was a blade, sharp and unyielding.

”What then?” She gestured wildly at me, her other hand still clinging to mine. ”Would you have been happy? Would you have been able to live with yourself, knowing you pushed him to this?”

Fumiko’s breath came in ragged gasps, her chest heaving. ”No...” She shook her head violently, her hair whipping around her face. ”No, I wouldn’t. I couldn’t...” She pressed her forehead to her knees, her voice muffled. ”I was wrong... I was so wrong...”

Kasumi’s anger wavered for a moment, her grip on my hand loosening slightly. She looked down at me, her thumb brushing against my knuckles, her voice softening to a whisper. ”Jack...” Her tears fell onto my hand, her love and guilt intertwining into something unbearable.

”You idiot...” She let out a shaky breath, her voice breaking. ”You fool... Why did you do this? Why did you scare me like this?” Her free hand reached up, her fingers hovering over the bandage on my neck, as if she were afraid to touch it, afraid it would all disappear. ”I can’t... I can’t lose you...” Her voice was a sob, her body shaking. ”Not like this... Not ever...”

Fumiko watched them, her heart shattering. She had never seen Kasumi like this—so vulnerable, so broken. The realization that her actions had caused this pain was a weight she knew she would carry forever.

She stood slowly, her legs unsteady, her voice a whisper. ”Kasumi... I’m sorry...” She took a step forward, her hand outstretched, but Kasumi flinched away, her body tensing.

”Don’t touch me,” Kasumi hissed, her voice raw. ”Don’t ever touch me again.”
