Chapter 111: Chapter 111: The Real PredatorThe human-built ship, a sleek, dark arrow against the blinding white, descended silently through the frigid Antarctic air.

Below them, vast, pristine plains of ice stretched to the horizon, dotted with the subtle, unsuspecting signs of multiple national re

A genuine, rare smile spread across Krull’Kahn’s face, revealing his razor-sharp teeth. This was similar to the sword technology used by the Chancellor himself – a plasma sword that could cut through any Krill armor, a weapon typically reserved only for Draconic nobles. And now, a human had placed it within his grasp. The irony was not lost on him, nor the opportunity.

”Remarkable,” Lord Krull’Kahn rumbled, a low, satisfied sound vibrating in his chest. ”Strowsky, is it possible... to make a larger version of this blade? Proportional to my own stature?” His desire for a personal weapon that signified his status and power, a direct challenge to the Chancellor’s exclusive weaponry, was clear.

Strowsky’s eyes lit up with the challenge, but he quickly shifted to a practical concern. ”My Lord, it is certainly possible! However, given the current ’Energy Density-to-Output Ratio’ of our cells, a larger version would require bulkier power sources. It would look... aerodynamically ugly, and likely impede your movements in combat.”

Krull’Kahn dismissed the aesthetic concern with a wave of his massive hand. ”Cosmetics are irrelevant. I will provide you with the necessary technology, the schematics for Krill energy cells. Specifically, our ’Quantized Plasma Conduit’ technology. That should resolve your ’bulk’ issue, and perhaps your five-minute limit as well. It will allow a far more efficient energy transfer and storage.”

Strowsky’s face lit up with pure, unadulterated scientific glee. ”Quantized Plasma Conduit! My Lords, that would be... revolutionary! The implications for all our energy systems...” The prospect of advanced alien technology, even from their supposed overlords, was an irresistible lure. McKnight, for his part, merely nodded, his eyes fixed on Strowsky, absorbing every detail.

Krill Khian, standing a few paces back, subtly facepalmed, a gesture of exasperation that was almost imperceptible to the humans present.

Oh brother, she thought, a sigh echoing in her mind. He’s so enthusiastic about swords. When it comes to such toys, he could talk about it all day. He will give away anything for a sharper blade. And now... Krill energy conduit schematics. This is a gamble. A calculated risk, but a gamble nonetheless.

Her pragmatic nature clashed with Krull’Kahn’s warrior’s obsession, yet it served their shared ambitions. This transfer of Krill technological secrets, a blatant act of betrayal against their own empire for a personal indulgence, would further accelerate human advancements and potentially create a dangerous, self-serving alliance between them and their human ”slaves”, but sometimes wonder if they truly are the slave masters or just wisely slaved away by humans. She sighed, dismissing the thought.
