Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 288 Arcane Constitution (2/3)

”But your information is helpful. If there are three more Arcane Champions coming up, then things will become interesting here.”

”Not if they kill each other,” Almond scoffed. ”Or I kill them.”

”Arcane champions donʼt die easily. Anyway, Hollowstar is dangerous, but is still not that active in the first layer, though they are breaching there more recently...” Big D paused and narrowed his eyes, appearing ominous before continuing. ”However, Hollowstar organization on the second and third layer is a different matter altogether.”

”Are they very powerful?” Almond blinked, feeling influenced by the ominous voice of the cat, and whispered. ”How powerful?”

”They are the most powerful singular organization that pulls crazy stunts and disasters. They have means and power completely different than others. They donʼt use Prana, but something else as their energy source, which can devour wild Prana and overwhelm it; hence, their top executives literally eat whole dimensions and worlds unless resisted by us, of course. But they cause tragedies at many places concurrently, in different worlds, and are a pain in the ass.”

”Damn,” Almond gulped. ”Sounds horrible.”

”Yeah, damn them,” Big D nodded, feeling annoyed as he recalled something. ”They piss me off.”

”Anyway, they make powerful monsters and disasters. Their sole goal is to devour the worlds, and I think their ultimate goal is the destruction of Grimworld Tree.”

”Now that you know some things, get back and make your Arcane Constitution better. It must reach at least 106.”

”Wait, can you tell me something?” Almond said, his expression somber. ”Am I the only student who hasnʼt entered the actual academy yet? I mean, Iʼve been here for days!”

”Duh, of course. You are an ill-prepared student, so I have to prepare you first, and you are also a bit special,” Big D grinned. ”This world is a game, and players are playing it. The rest of the people are just leaves, flowing with the wind produced by the moves that players make.”

”You are also a leaf, but I suppose you want to become a player, right?”

Almond narrowed his eyes as they ignited with argent blaze. ”Of course, I want to become a player.”

”Then you must break the rules set by other players and break the limits, in which you specialize. Grimworld wants you to be a player, and you have other invoked potential players as well. However, all of these may sound good, but to get that actual sweetness, you have to work hard and enrich your experience while surviving in a world where death is constant, so you always have to be prepared, not just to defeat your enemies, but to also escape, hide, and conceal yourself against danger.”

”Tomorrow, you go to another world for some work, and you accidentally brush shoulders with someone who is way more powerful than you, and he just decides to kill you.”

”...” Almond was speechless. ”Does that happen?”

”Of course, it happens. People kill insects all the time. Even when insects donʼt do anything, they just kill them, either accidentally or because they are mad for something that happened. People keep animals as livestock to eat and think nothing because they are at the top of the food chain.”

”Just like that, you might be considered an insect and get killed, and itʼd be on you.”

”…”

Big D slapped Almond with its tail and turned around before a portal opened and began walking towards it. ”I am a player, that little lass Ruby is striving to become a player, and you potential to be a player. Thatʼs why I am preparing you, so that we may mutually benefit each other because there are players more powerful than us.”

Before disappearing into the portal, Big D turned to Almond and smiled, ”We should live to enjoy and to enjoy it, we must constantly become powerful until thereʼs no peak climb, and I donʼt mind having some companions in this journey.”

Almondʼs eyes blazed with determination, and he nodded.

”Whatchu nodding for? You are totally not yet worthy; in fact, you are very far from it. Arcane Champions can be powerful as they hold immense potential, but more of them are dead than alive right now, so get your ass back to work.”

”...”

The cat disappeared.

”Wait, you didnʼt tell me what the fuck is Arcane?!”

Suddenly, Big Dʼs voice rang in Almondʼs ears.

ʼArcane is the source of all that is potentially possible in the Grimworld. If you think that a certain power or a certain motion of action exists and forms its logic on your own, then it shall come to existence by none other than Arcane. Feed it your will and logic, and itʼs your to command.ʼ

Almond continued making pathways to connect to the ʼArcane spotsʼ he discovered in his Arcane Eidos by finding those spots, which are filled with information, and connecting them to each other.

Whenever he connected these spots to each other in his Arcane Eidos, its result was directly reflected in his body, mind, and soul, as he could see something akin to ethereal and magic pathways forming and superimposing this trinity structure with his Arcane Eidos, which then highlights a new scenery—a golden humanoid form of his with shining pathways...which was his Arcane Constitution.

ʼArcane Constitution decides the upper limit potency of my abilities, eh? Yeah, I have to reach 106. Wait, no. I have to cross 106,ʼ Almondʼs eyes blazed. ʼIʼll show that cat.ʼ

Almond checked his stats after two hours and saw that his Arcane Constitution reached 74!

ʼSlow! I need to be faster!ʼ

ʼGot one.ʼ

ʼAnd...wait, what? Did I just see a spot of information forming?ʼ

ʼThis...is information on the motion of vibration in granular synthesized nano-type projectiles of Sand Element. I was just thinking about it to upgrade my Sand Fang since the previous spot had information on how to use granular-structured shapes with different vibration waves that I created when making Sand Fang ability...ʼ Almondʼs eyes opened, filled with shock.

”My Arcane Eidos just created it now based on my thinking!”

”That was fast.” Big D appeared in front of Almond, patting Almondʼs head with his tail. ”Yep, you commanded Arcane there subconsciously. It created that new spot of power in the constitution for you because you commanded Arcane to create a new technical asset you comprehended.”
