Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 191 Choosing Element, Instant Learning Role-Based Skill Selection Box

ʼLightning can interact with Ice properly and can produce interesting effects.ʼ

ʼNot much with Sand or Stone, which is basically Earth element, but Lightning can do very well with Wind element, which I already planned to learn.ʼ

ʼBut I have other things which can let me learn Wind element since I only want it to increase the applications my lightning can do with it, so I have to keep my options open,ʼ Almond narrowed his eyes.

ʼFlame of Velvet Spark….flame and lightning can be a super offensive combo, creating an intense plasmic reaction thatʼs more powerful than the offense of flame and lightning in a sense…ʼ

ʼHowever, I now have more possibilities to explore thanks to my Mana manipulation entering a new realm. If I can apply magical properties to something I created with elemental energy and properly synergize with it with the properties, I can make some useful skills that can enhance my combat power.ʼ

Almondʼs creative brain was juicing as he was getting ideas.

ʼRubber…elasticity that never breaks and can bounce off everything, if I can apply this to two carpets made of Sand of Vibrant Wave and make an orb capable of storing energy and remain condensed between two and make it reach light speed with constant bounce between two of those carpet, what will happen?ʼ

ʼWhat if I make that orb of lightning? It would surely reach true light speed while bouncing off in between, so what kind of result and reaction would this have? This sounds dangerous but also exciting if I can somehow harness and use that level of power for myself,ʼ Almondʼs eyes glinted. He liked elasticity and if the best element to apply this on out of those five would be Sand of Vibrant Wave.

He also liked the ring to the name, ʼVibrant Wave,ʼ as he felt this Sand element variant could have some interesting characteristics.

ʼMoreover, according to the basic characteristics of Sand and Lightning, both can create some good effects…ʼ Almond began his imagination based on information.

ʼIn real life, lightning strikes on Sand, Soil, or Rock can create fulgurite, a natural glass-like tube…but with magic involved, the possibilities and powers of this synergy increase,ʼ Almondʼs eyes glinted. ʼI might be able to create an instantaneous solid and powerful glass-like structure that can be both offensive and defensive if I shoot formative lightning through formative sand element constructs.ʼ

ʼMoreover, I can charge sands too, and they can stick to anything as well, basically delivering constant electric shocks and applying other debuffs and also buffs in case of my Golden Haze Lightning…A storm of sand charged by lightning sounds nice…ʼ

ʼEven if Sand is the best conductor of lightning in nature, if I can use lightning to transform Sand into thin filament-like glass, these ʼthreadsʼ I make can serve as a conduit in large areas…this is a possible magic formation to enhance, attack, and defend in a large area where I spread these glass threads…ʼ

ʼAnd wait, I can also make unique glass structures that can concentrate and re-direct lightning to basically shoot crazy laser attacks!ʼ Almond was imagining a lot of things that he could do as his excitement rose.

ʼAnd I have to get the variant version…who knows what else this Sand of Vibrant Waves can do once I start experimenting!ʼ

Without further ado, he selected Sand of Vibrant Wave from the options.

ʼI will have 24 hours in a dimension made of this Sand of Vibrant Wave…Iʼll do this first after tomorrowʼs party.ʼ

Almond then took out the Instant Learning Role-Based Skill Selection Box and opened it.

It also had options to choose from.

[Instant Learning Role-Based Skill Selection Box]

-Detail: You can choose which type of skill you want from the fifteen random options, and based on your selection, you will get a random SSS-rank skill of that type.

-Options:

1. Offensive-type / Direct Damage

2. Offensive-type / Damage over Time (DoT)

3. Defensive-type / Damage Reflection

4. Support-type / Beneficial Aura-type

5. Debuff-type / Resource Drain (e.g., Mana Burn)

6. Healing-type / AoE Healing

7. Control-type / Mind Affecting

8. Control-type / Physical Disability

9. Utility-type / Environment Interaction

10. Transformation-type / Self-Targetting.

11. Buff-type / Self-Immunity (e.g., Elemental resistance, knock-back resistance)

12. Stealth-type / Elemental

13. Crafting-type / Enchanting

14. Mobility-type / Random

15. Summoning-type / Construct Conjuration.

ʼInteresting…but letʼs put away the unnecessary types. I have my own offense, and I donʼt want defense. Beneficial Aura type can be useful since I have my spirit wraiths, but I donʼt want it.ʼ Continue your journey on empire

ʼDebuff-type with resource drain? Heh, I have Divine Dividerʼs Harvest already.ʼ

ʼHealing, I donʼt need to waste Mana on that.ʼ

ʼMind affecting control type…this one is marked, alright. Next is Physical Disability…nah. I donʼt need to physically disable someone when I can physically shred anyone.ʼ

ʼUtility-type that can interact with environment…this sounds interesting. Marked.ʼ

ʼAnd transformation but on the self? It does sound cool if I can transform it into something cool, but nah. I might not be able to use my sword after whatever transformation.ʼ

ʼDonʼt want buff-type.ʼ

ʼStealth type, but itʼs elemental. So, I guess itʼs like turning into water, or earth or similar stuff. Meh, I can already do it with my lightning.ʼ

ʼCrafting-type…and itʼs even enchantment, which I guess would be like putting some kind of enchant on a crafted item. Alright, marked.ʼ

ʼAs for the last one, nah. I already have the best summoning type. This might be something different than summoning monsters, but I donʼt need it.ʼ

Almond looked at the options he marked.

- Crafting-type / Enchantment

- Control-type / Mind affecting

- Utility-type / Environment Interaction

ʼNow, the skill will be SSS-rank, so itʼs got to be very powerful. I have to choose wisely,ʼ Almond rubbed his chin.

He thought about what each type of those skills could bring him and elevate his overall power purely based on their type and that extra information displayed.

And ultimately, he went with the control-type / Mind affecting for simple reasons.

He could already affect his targetʼs minds by seeing their attributes with his All-Seeing Eyes and reducing them as he pleases with his All-Severing Blade at the cost of his willpower.

So, adding this control-type effect that instead cost Mana had a high potential to make him powerful by using less willpower to affect small reductions and adding this skill, whatever it may be, to enhance its effect and state of the targetʼs mind more.

ʼAnd this skill should be something no one finds about,ʼ Almondʼs eyes glinted.

After all, this would be his solid, hidden trump card that could help him against almost all dangerous situations against other people, including people from the other three worlds, as he believed the powerful individuals would obviously be more of a threat than Labyrinth monsters.

ʼLetʼs see what I get,ʼ Almond selected the option, and a notification rang while the box produced a white quartz crystal with eccentric micro faint red and blue patterns inside.

[Congratulation. You have acquired an SSS-rank skill—Subtle Art of Memory Grafting.]

Almond raised his eyebrows in surprise, looking at the name, his interest rising.

[Subtle Art of Memory Grafting]

-Rank: SSS

-Cost: Depends on usage.

-Details: This skill is activated as a temporary state of connecting minds. The target must be unconscious to perform this skill.
