Battle Of Planets

Chapter 96: Fury 1
Shaun sprinted toward the helipad, his boots pounding against the ground, while Bee trailed behind.”Take me too, bro!” Bee called out.

Shaun leapt into the hovering chopper. ”To the Roger mansion. Go now!” he ordered the pilot.

Bee climbed in after him, confused. ”Why are we going there? Shouldn’t we be backing up the Sergeant instead?”

”We will,” Shaun said, securing his straps. ”But we need backup- just in case things go south.”

”Freaking hell!” Tim yelled, blasting a rogue off the side. ”I didn’t sign up for this! I just wanted to celebrate and get drunk—not fight a highway wars!”

”Shut Up and do your duty,” Tyson snapped, clashing with the Rogue, who was at 34 power points. ”I need you to keep them busy. I have to find her.”

”How?” Tim twisted another Rogue’s arm, flipping him over the fence. ”You want me to run naked?”

Two Rangers battled fiercely on the Highway Bridge as chaos erupted all around. ”You already wrecked my car, so what else do you want?”

”Fuck! I’ll get you a new one—just do as I say!” Tyson shouted, his voice sharper than before. He still hadn’t seen Nancy, and fear gripped him—they might already be trying to take her away.

He fought desperately while keeping an eye on the truck’s back doors.

Drew cursed his luck. He had somehow managed to escape the fight last time, but now—once again—he was dragged into something with the White Dragon.

First, his friend Blue had fought him, and now he either had to fight... or run for his life.

He paused, eyes scanning the scene—many were already locked in battle, while others stood back, uncertain what to do. This was his best chance... to escape.

”Hey, you! Derius, right?” Drew called out to the panicked young man nearby. ”What are you waiting for? Stop that White Ranger for a while—I’ll back you up.”

Derius looked even more panicked when he saw the White Dragon—fighting rogues like a beast capable of tearing through anyone who dared to cross him.

He didn’t look anything like the guy Derius met at the cafeteria.

Still, Derius nervously donned his armor. His school friend joined him, and the two silently nodded, planning to sneak up on Tyson and take him down.

Derius summoned his giant metallic pen—an odd weapon, sure, but something about it felt right. Familiar to him.

This pen was his key to surpassing his peers. It would help him rise to the top of the food chain. And for that—tonight, he had to fight the White Dragon and defeat him.

Derius saw his chance when the rogue from the other city locked swords with Tyson. Without wasting a second, he slammed his metallic pen into Tyson’s side, sending him stumbling back with a groan.

The rogue offered Derius a quick nod of thanks for the assistance, while a grin spread across his friend’s face.

”He’s not what everyone thinks, it seems,” his friend smirked. ”We can defeat him.”

”I guess...” Derius muttered, beginning to feel a surge of confidence. He had just landed a hit on the White Dragon—someone feared and admired by his entire generation.

He had proved to them—to himself—that he could go up against him.

He would surpass him. Here and Now—

Just before Derius could complete his thought, Tyson’s feet slammed down on his helmet, forcing his face into the ground.

It was as if Tyson had teleported out of nowhere. Even the rogue at 34 Power Points froze, shocked by Tyson’s sudden burst of speed.

Derius lay motionless, his face pressed against the ground, with Tyson’s foot still bearing down on his helmet. Thankfully, the metal helmet had absorbed most of the impact—without it, he would have died instantly.

”I told you to stay the fuck out of my way,” Tyson growled, his voice dark and furious. ”This is your last chance. Surrender... or I’ll rip you to pieces.”

Derius’s friend froze in panic, glancing around in desperation to see where Drew was; the one who had told them to attack the White Ranger, but he was nowhere to be seen. ”Drew? Where did he—?”

Before he could finish, Tyson slammed a brutal kick into his ribs, sending him flying into the concrete blockades with a painful crash.

Derius lay there, trembling. Fear transfused every part of him. He was finished. He had crossed the White Dragon. He had crossed the line.

Maybe... maybe he should’ve stayed out of the rogue business. Maybe he should’ve listened. But the lure of fast money had been too strong—and now he was paying the price.

A slight clang echoed from the wrecked truck as its side door creaked open as Tyson’s head snapped in that direction.

From the shadows of the crumpled vehicle, Justin emerged—blood on his brow, a cut trailing down the side of his face. His one hand tangled in Nancy’s hair, dragging her with him like a possession he refused to let go.

Nancy stumbled beside him, her lip bleeding and knees scraped, yet her spirit remained unbroken. Her eyes found Tyson instantly- wide and desperate.

”Tyson...” she whispered, trying to hold her tears back.

Justin noticed her glance and pulled her closer, gripping her hair tighter. ”Don’t take his name. You are mine,” he hissed.

Tyson’s entire body tensed. The fury he had held back for so long surged to the surface, and his Meta-bod blinked, sensing his anger.

”You picked the wrong day,” he muttered, voice shaking with rage. ”Let. Her. Go.”

”Oh, really?” Justin laughed, his laughter sharp and bitter. Two rogues slowly stood beside him, brushing off the dust from the crash as More began to follow their lead, creating a loose shield around Justin and Nancy.

Their orders were clear: protect them and not to start a war with the White Ranger. None of them wanted that fight... not if they could avoid it.

Tim moved beside Tyson, uncertain, his eyes flicking from the growing rogue group to the crashed truck. Just then, a ping lit up inside his helmet—an incoming message. He glanced at it, then smirked.

”Two patrol teams have arrived,” he muttered to Tyson, ”and... the General has given the green light. Everyone in the area will come here soon.”

Justin’s expression faltered for a moment as he saw a few rangers come running. Some jumped off the nearby vehicles, and some stood on the bridge’s blockade. All of them stepped onto the highway from different directions, surrounding the battlefield.

The numbers were shifting.

Justin clicked his tongue and chuckled, ”My, my... it seems I’ve underestimated Elrian Rangers.”

”Let her go,” Tyson said, his voice low and trembling with restrained fury.

His fists clenched tighter at the sight before him—Nancy, sobbing, her body trembling as Justin’s hand remained tangled in her hair, pulling her close as if she were nothing more than a possession. Rage boiled in Tyson’s chest. She wasn’t some toy to be handled at will. She was a person—his person—the woman he loves.

A bike screeched to a halt nearby. Lara and Ken dismounted, both immediately alert.

”Senior, are you okay?” Lara asked, stepping up next to Tyson.

Her eyes swiftly scanned the battlefield, then froze upon seeing Nancy beside Justin—injured, crying, vulnerable.

Lara’s breath caught. For the longest time, she had seen Nancy as a rival... a mountain she needed to climb to stand beside Tyson. But now, watching her like this—broken, helpless—it pierced her. Guilt wrapped around her heart.

Nancy wasn’t a warrior. She wasn’t trained to withstand pain like Lara was. And yet she was enduring this horror.

It wasn’t right. It wasn’t fair. ”This isn’t acceptable,” Lara whispered under her breath, her fists tightening.

Ken, meanwhile, glanced around at the now outnumbered rogues, ”This time,” he said, cracking his knuckles, ”I’m here to fight. Just make sure you don’t die before I get to beat you all up”

”I surrender! Don’t kill me!” Drew shouted, stepping out from his hiding spot with both hands raised and his head lowered. ”I didn’t mean for this to happen... I had no idea it was personal...”

He dared to glance at Tyson—and his heart sank.

Tyson appears furious. No, beyond furious. His whole presence screamed danger. Drew didn’t want to risk it—if Tyson snapped, he might start slaughtering everyone in his path.

”I swear, I had no idea who she was,” Drew pleaded, then turned to the other rogues. ”Surrender! This isn’t our fight. It’s not on us—we didn’t sign up for this!”

”You coward,” one of Justin’s men barked. ”You were ready to—”

”Let him be,” Justin cut in with a smile. ”He’s the smart one.”

”But sir, if we—”

Before the rogue could finish, several Elrian rogues began dropping to their knees one by one, raising their hands in surrender. Their armor retracted smoothly back into their meta-bots.

”We surrender,” came the reluctant voice.

Among them was Darius, eyes fixed on the ground, too ashamed to meet Tyson’s gaze.

Everything had gone to his head—his rising fame, the attention, the praise at school. He thought he was untouchable, a rising star that could do no wrong.

He was wrong.

Now, with his armor back in his meta-bot and pride shattered, he realized just how fast the climb to fame could crash back down. He wondered... Would there be a chance for redemption? Would his friends even look at him the same after this?
