Battle Of Planets

Chapter 94: Chase 1
”She’s been kidnapped?” Edward stood silently, staring at the glass wall as Shaun explained everything.Edward immediately speculates who that might be; it must be Albert’s job, but he won’t just send anyone to do this...unless Justin himself stepped in.

He will have an advantage in disguising himself while traveling, unlike other meta-bot wearers.

”When did you get this news?” he asked calmly.

”Just a few minutes ago,” Shaun replied. ”Sergeant Tyson went after her.”

”General, should we begin tracking her?” Captain Barns asked.

”We can try,” Edward said quietly. ”But I suspect Justin might’ve already gotten rid of her phone. He’s Albert’s son, after all.”

”Then how did Tyson track her?” Barnes asked, puzzled.

”He might’ve placed a tracker in her pendant or something,” Edward guessed. ”We may not be able to trace her, but we can definitely track Tyson.”

An AI screen appeared in front of them as Edward gave the order to trace Tyson’s phone. A green dot appeared on the map, racing along a highway at high speed.

”He’s following her,” Edward said, narrowing his eyes. ”Their goal must be to get her out of the city first.”

”Should we close the city gates?” Barns asked.

”That might help,” Edward said, deep in thought. ”But if they catch on, they could change tactics—perhaps using the underground routes or the service tunnels. And if they feel cornered, Justin might opt to use her as a hostage.”

”Then what should we do, sir?” Shaun asked, panicked. ”Both outcomes are worse than the first—what if he tries to hurt her?”

Edward remained silent, his eyes fixed on the AI screen. A moment later, the system pinged—Nancy’s phone had been located in a random alley. He had been correct; they disposed of her phone first.

”Order the patrol teams to block the highway,” Edward said calmly. ”But first, ensure Tyson has reached their vehicle—whichever one it may be. I want two drones tracking Tyson’s car, and a few sergeants on standby.”

”Yes, sir,” Barns replied with a sharp nod.

”Let’s wait and see how things go,” Edward said, keeping an eye on the screen.

Tyson gripped the dashboard tightly as Tim raced down the road, the world around them blurring past like a smear of light and speed.

”I’ll get you there in no time,” Tim said with a confident grin, his hands steady on the wheel.

Tyson nodded, though his mind was far from calm. His thoughts were spinning—Nancy was in danger, and he hadn’t even known. How could he let this happen? He’d promised her she’d be safe... and yet here she was, in the clutches of their enemies.

He’d failed. Again. Just like always.

The thought echoed in his mind like a curse, making his blood boil each time. He understood the cost of failure. He knew what it meant to lose someone.

Not this time. Not her.

Nancy was the most precious thing in his life. And if he had to tear this world apart piece by piece to bring her back—he would.

The red dot came closer and closer as they realized it was none other than a heavy lorry nearly the size of three to four cars, while vehicles tailed around as if protecting it from something or someone.

Tyson’s gaze locked onto the truck ahead, burning with fury. Without hesitation, he slid out through the car window and climbed onto the roof of Tim’s speeding vehicle in the next moment.

Metal groaned under his weight as his mechanical hands clenched tightly around the roof’s edge for balance. The wind slammed against him, whipping his hair violently as he crouched low, his meta-bot blinking furiously—and ready for battle.

”The hell are you doing?!” Tim shouted from inside, jerking the wheel slightly to keep balance. ”Asshole, this is a brand-new car!”

Tyson didn’t respond—his eyes were locked on the enemy truck ahead like a hawk in flight.

Suddenly, another black vehicle swerved out from behind the truck and brushed aggressively against Tim’s car with a screech. It was one of the rogue escort vehicles—fast, matte-armored, and clearly itching for a collision.

”Are you kidding me right now?!” Tim growled, jerking the wheel to avoid losing control. ”I’ll roast you mother—! This is a goddamn new car!”

Tyson braced himself as sparks flew from the sides. He scanned the road ahead—two more rogue cars flanked the truck. This wasn’t a simple escape—it was a convoy.

One wrong move, and the chase could end in flames. But Tyson didn’t care. All that mattered was getting to that truck. And whoever dared to block his path... was going down.

”Whity... I trust you,” Tyson muttered, speaking to his meta-bot. The rogue vehicles were relentless, blocking every attempt to close in on the truck. He knew the only way to get there fast was to activate his full armor—but at this speed, that could hurt Tim inside the car.

He clenched his fists. ”I’m going to jump, okay?” he whispered, bracing himself. The meta-bot’s core blinked in response, glowing brighter with each pulse. ”There goes nothing—”

Suddenly, another rogue car slammed into them from the side, jolting Tyson off balance and halting his jump mid-move. ”Fuck!” he cursed, steadying himself with one hand on the roof. He banged his metallic fist on the hood. ”Tim! Get me closer to that truck—now!”

”What the hell do you think I’m doing?!” Tim barked, weaving through traffic like a madman. ”You already ruined my mood, and now these jackasses are scraping my paint! They’re gonna regret messing with me!”

Tires screeched. Sparks flew as Tim veered the car sharply to the left, slamming into one of the rogue vehicles with a brutal sideswipe. The rogue car spun slightly but recovered, still tailing them.

Tyson crouched lower, eyes fixed on the truck. One clean shot. One perfect leap. That was all he needed.

Just then, one of the rogues mirrored Tyson’s move—climbing out of his vehicle and stepping onto the roof, balancing with eerie ease. But unlike Tyson, the rogue didn’t hesitate. His metallic armor activated instantly, encasing him in armor as he prepared to leap onto their car.

”Don’t you freaking dare!” Tim yelled, his voice filled with fury.

Without waiting, Tim activated his own armor. Metallic plates snapped into place across his body. Then, he kicked out the front windshield with a thunderous metallic stomp. The car jolted violently, swerving as the glass shattered into shards.

”What are you doing?!” Tyson shouted, barely holding onto the roof, wind whipping around him as the car skidded.

”Saving my love!” Tim roared. ”Now, hold on tight!”

Tim yanked the wheel in one wild motion, spinning the car into a 180-degree drift. Tires screamed as he slammed into reverse, the front of the car now facing the rogue mid-air. While drifting backward at high speed, Tim’s right hand transformed into a plasma blaster, glowing with energy.

The rogue was just about to land—when Tim shot a blast.

A brilliant burst of plasma lit the air. The blast hit the rogue mid-air like a wrecking ball, sending him flying backward like a ragdoll, smoke trailing behind him. ”Like. angry. freakin’. bird!” Tim yelled, grinning like a maniac.

Tyson blinked in disbelief, still holding onto the roof. ”Okay... remind me never to piss you off.”

”We’ve got company!” Drew shouted, peering out the side window of the truck. His voice trembled slightly, unsure who the pursuers were. He’d assumed this would be a smooth job—quick in, quick out. But he was dead wrong.

Inside the truck, the rogues exchanged tense glances. The mood shifted instantly. What once felt like a clean escape now felt like the calm before a storm.

Derius sat near the back, leaning against the cold metal wall of the truck’s cargo bay, his mind spiraling. What the hell have I gotten myself into? It was supposed to be simple job. But now...

A sudden sound broke through the tension—muffled shouting from inside the locked compartment.

A girl’s voice. Nancy.

Then came the sharp crack of a slap, echoing even through the thick walls, followed by soft sobs.

Derius clenched his jaw and shut his eyes tight, trying to block it out. He had helped them take her—stood by when they dragged her in.

”You think he can save you?” Justin snarled, grabbing Nancy’s chin roughly and forcing her to meet his eyes. ”He just ran into his death, and I swear, Nancy—I’ll kill him. Right in front of you.”

Nancy’s glare didn’t falter. She shoved at his chest in defiance, but her resistance was met with a vicious slap across the face. She gasped, the sting flooding her eyes with tears as she sobbed, helpless and trapped.

Justin crouched beside her, breathing heavy. ”How did you manage to alert him?” he asked, eyes narrowing with suspicion. His gaze swept over her body. Then, a twisted smile curled on his lips. ”Don’t tell me... you hid something in your clothes?”

He leaned closer, voice dripping with menace. ”Guess I’ll have to remove them to be sure.”

Nancy’s breath caught in her throat as she scrambled backward, desperation taking over. Her hands fumbled with the silken knot binding her wrists, fingers shaking, tearing at the fabric so hard it scraped her skin raw. But she didn’t stop.

She had to get free.

Justin’s smirk deepened, watching her struggle with sick amusement.
