Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1547: Forming the First Chaos Heart (3)

Inaya, Vexthra, Miryssa, and Ainna were on the outside, guarding the location where Kent was undergoing his cultivation. They want to protect him from all kinds of danger.

Since this planet was once ravaged by a harrowing battle and later invaded by the Soul Temple, they knew they could not let down their guard, not even for a moment.

Soon, a day went by, but they remained focused.

While it was a bit unwarranted for them to be so focused, considering all four of them are gods, they knew the Soul Temple would surely come to investigate the sudden deaths of their agents.

So they continued to wait and hope, with every fiber of their being, that they would not come until after Kent was done. Learning that a Celestial had already tried to kill him once, they knew a second time was not impossible.

Thankfully, even after a day and a half, nobody showed up, so they remained on guard, but a bit more relaxed. They could sense Kent was done with a step... well, even the beasts in the forest sensed it, and some even tried to come after him.

However, as they drew closer, something a bit chilling happened.

All the beasts that managed to get within a 2 km radius of where he was in seclusion were killed by Vexthra. However, the moment they died, their bodies disintegrated and turned into blood mist that flowed and entered the cave, merging with Kent.

Whenever that happened, they would sense his aura rise.

So, with them already having nothing to do, they suppressed their cultivation to the demigod stage and started killing the beasts, feeding Kent more blood.

If it would take the blood of millions of beasts on Planet Rainy for Kent to come out of his seclusion as a monster, then that was what they would do.

Kent sensed their intentions, so he promised to make good use of their efforts. Thankfully, absorbing the [Dragon Ascension Fruit] had done more good than he expected.

Although the tower still had a few hours before it finished its upgrade, Kent was able to access the system interface, so when the messages started to flood in, he could only smile.

[You have absorbed a god-grade Dragon Ascension Fruit.]

[Congratulations, you have awakened 35% of your bloodline.]

[Congratulations, you have unlocked 10,000 Blood Runes. Total: 90,000]

[Congratulations, you can now unlock two more innate talents]

This message came when he absorbed the fruit. While he expected a 5% boost in bloodline awakening, he ended up getting 9% instead. It was already 26% when he ate the fruit, so he is now 35%.

Naturally, that was more than he expected, especially when he had suffered to reach the 26% awakening mark.

But things did not end there. As blood was absorbed into his body, he began to sense something even more profound happening.

Initially, he could not put his finger on it. However, his confusion was cleared when a second batch of messages started to appear.

[You are absorbing a large amount of blood essence. This phenomenon has triggered a sudden awakening.]

[Congratulations, you have unlocked a variant innate ability: Blood Tempering]

[Blood Tempering]

[Rank: Innate]

[Description: Using blood from any source, temper your blood, inheriting some innate aspects of the blood used in the tempering.]

Kent blinked a few times when these messages were displayed. There was no way he actually read that right. Tempering his blood with another’s blood—how does that even work?

Blood is intangible, so how then can he temper it?

His confusion, however, was soon cleared when he realized the thing being tempered was not his blood, but rather his blood seals.

He had no idea how any of it was possible, especially when Chaos had not gone through this process before. He had no memory of him ever tempering his blood runes.

From what he had recalled so far, after all blood runes had been awakened, he would then proceed to the next stage, which is Blood Tattoo Creation. Tempering his blood runes was all too new to him.

But it was happening to him, and for a moment, his mind scanned through Chaos’ memories to look for a clue.

After a while, he sighed. A thought came to mind, but he couldn’t place his finger on it.

”I have seen something similar before; I just can’t remember where,” he continued, going through his memories for another two hours, but nothing came to mind.

So he changed his approach and started looking at the skills and techniques related to his path—the Slaughter Path.

This time, it took only five minutes to find what he was looking for.

Hidden within the expanded description of the [Bone Tempering Art], he saw that the blood runes formed could have different colors—four, to be precise.

”When formed, they come in crimson color. Many beasts, and even humans, have this blood-essence innate color. However, after some evolution, they will become golden. Monarch-level beasts have this color.

The third color is crimson-gold, which happens when the third evolution is met. Only a few Beast manaed to reach this, and in the vast universe, they were called Overlord Beasts.

As for the last color, which is Dark-Gold, no beast ever recorded in history managed to attain this.”

”Chaos only reached the first evolution, at least from the memories I have now. But if that was the case for him, then what would happen when I attain the second or even third evolution before forming my blood tattoos?”

Suddenly, Kent felt like he had nearly been conspired against.

”That bastard, he clearly said nothing about this.” The image of the Slaughter King appeared in his mind, causing him to grit his teeth.

If not for the unfortunate accident that happened when Vexthra killed the beasts, and he ended up absorbing the blood mist, he would not have awakened the [Blood Tempering Art] innate ability, which meant he would not have even known of this evolution path.

”Damnit, that sly bastard.” Kent made a mental note not to tell him his mind when they meet again.

”But then again, I wonder if the tempering will continue even after I form the blood tattoos.”

A smile appeared on his face as he sensed the blood being absorbed by him suddenly start to increase.

”Since we are here now, then I might as well eat the [Blood Life Fruit] and see where we go from there.”

He reached for the crimson-colored fruit and bit into it, savoring the metallic taste of blood souring his tongue. He did not mind and continued to bite and eat.

This time too, he regulated the blood energy flowing through his body through parts like his brain, eyes, nose, ears, teeth, ribs, and all kinds of body parts, down to his nails.

Soon, the first few messages appeared.

[You have absorbed a god-grade Blood Life Fruit.]

[Congratulations, you have unlocked 10,000 Blood Runes. Total: 100,000]

...a few seconds later, a new message appeared.

[Congratulations, you have unlocked 5,000 Blood Runes. Total: 105,000]

[Congratulations, you have unlocked all 105,000 blood runes]

...but things did not end there. In fact, it was merely the start of something that even if the Slaughter King were to witness it, his jaws would have to be supported by large metallic pillars.

[You have absorbed a large amount of Blood Qi.]

[Your Eternal Draconic Cultivation is trying to absorb some into your cultivation.]

[You have leveled up. Rank: Level 8 Heavenly Ascension]

[You have leveled up. Rank: Level 9 Heavenly Ascension]

[You have reached the peak]

[You still have excess Blood Qi in your body.]

[The Bone Tempering Art has been triggered, and it is trying to make use of the excess energy.]

...Kent remained calm, his expression focused on the message that would appear next. He had no idea what to do at this point, so he let his body make all the decisions.

Soon, however, the decision was made, and the results were something he never saw coming.

[You have formed 1,000 blood runes. Total: 106,000]

[You have formed 1,000 blood runes. Total: 107,000]

[You have formed 1,000 blood runes. Total: 108,000]

”_”

”_”

[You have met the requirement to evolve your blood to the second evolution stage]
