Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1149: Determined To Kill

Blood slowly trails down Jest’s neck as he moves back, creating a distance between him and a certain beauty who is determined to kill him.

She unleashes three sword slashes, sending crescent-shaped sword arcs at Jest.

He evaded and then, using a sleek movement technique. He further created a distance between them, ensuring the crazy woman didn’t make his life difficult.

”Transcendent Sword Art.”

Jest activated the sword technique he had learned in the Sword Valley. It was the same technique that enabled him to open a portal to the Immortal World.

This technique was once used by a Sword Immortal during the primordial Era. So it is very powerful.

Ten swords appeared in the air and locked on the lady, causing her to frown and quickly raise a shield. Jest showed no mercy and unleashed the ten swords at once, slamming into the shield she raised.

”Endless Sword Arc.” Jest didn’t hold back; he unleashed yet another sword attack, causing thousands of tiny sword arcs to appear in the air and rain down on the lady.

Her shield, which held firm against the ten swords, was shredded by the sword arcs, causing her face to pale.

”Impossible!”

She teleported back, but not before sustaining a few injuries on her arm and chest. However, distancing herself works in Jest’s favour.

He took a deep breath and retrieved a talisman from his space ring, activating it. At once, a large sword appeared in the air and locked onto the lady.

This time, the paleness on her face changed as fear gripped her. This is the first time Jest has used this technique in their many battles.

Her scalp went numb.

”I surrender!” she shouted, dropping her sword on the ground and raising her hand.

In swordsmanship, whenever the opponent drops their weapon, it means they have surrendered, and thus, you cannot attack.

However, Jest, who had suffered for months, narrowly evading death a few times, had finally had enough, so he attacked.

The lady, who knew she had no way to defend against the sword, closed her eyes as tears fell from them.

She clearly didn’t expect Jest to learn from his mistakes and finally figured out a way to kill her.

”DIE!”

Jest didn’t care about her tears and even exerted more of his strength, causing the sword to move even faster.

The quicker he kills the lady who has made his life miserable since he arrived in the Immortal World, the better.

However, just when the sword was a meter out, a medallion hanging on the lady’s waist glowed, and a striking beauty with flowing green hair appeared behind her and formed a shield around her.

Naturally, the new arrival was just a projection of a person, not a real one. However, she possessed the power to easily defend against the sword, bringing it to a complete stop.

Jest frowned when his sword was stopped.

However, a new talisman appeared in his hand, and he was about to activate it when the green-haired lady spoke.

”Young man, I think since she surrendered, spare her life.”

Jest’s frown deepened when he heard her words. ”So now that her life is in danger, I should spare her, huh? When she was chasing me like a criminal, nearly killing me a few times, where were you?”

The green-haired lady frowned; however, her body flickered the next second, showing she was losing her power.

Seeing this, Jest activated the talisman, causing another sword to appear in the air.

Then he waved his hand, and three more talismans appeared. When the green-haired lady saw this, she shuddered.

She could defend against one, maybe two, but three or four—she would be powerless, meaning Jest would get to kill the lady.

Seeing this, the lady swallowed her pride, and without Jest even knowing, an Immortal Lord went down on one knee.

”I am begging you, please, don’t kill her.” Even the dark-haired lady seemed surprised to see the green-haired lady kneel down before a mere mortal.

A guilty expression appeared in her eyes.

Jest ignored her and focused on the green-haired lady.

”Why should I spare her? She was the one who wouldn’t listen to reason and tried to kill me more than a hundred times just because I wouldn’t accept her challenge. Now I did, and I have every right to determine her fate.”

”I can assure you that killing her is the last thing you want. Trust me, she is not someone you can kill and get away with it.

However, since I am asking a favour, I am willing to compensate you for any trouble you may incur. Name anything you want, and I will grant it.”

Jest took a deep breath, then paused for a moment to analyze his situation. He had just arrived in this world, and he knew nothing about it, so making unnecessary enemies was not something he wanted.

However, looking at the dark-haired lady and recalling the trouble she had put him through, the urge to kill her filled his mind.

But Jest was smart, and so he made a decision.

He deactivated the sword in the air and put away the talismans. Then he put away his sword. ”The next time she points her weapon at me, even if she is the daughter of a god, I will kill her.”

With that, Jest turned around and left, leaving both the green-haired and the dark-haired ladies stunned and in shock.

Jest was just offered a chance to ask for anything he wanted. But instead of using it to ask for wealth or many things, he used it to make a promise and left.

The green-haired lady was in shock, but she had little time to ponder it since her time was running out.

”Come back home, Seraphina. The others are back, so it is time for the unification ritual.”

After saying that, her body flickered out of existence, and she vanished. The dark-haired lady, whose name was Seraphina, stayed behind for an hour before she managed to gather the strength and also left.

Jest, who had traveled thousands of miles, found a cave to relax and ponder his next move.

When he arrived in Shengdao City, Seraphina challenged him to a sword duel, but he refused. He had no idea that it was a serious crime in Shengdao City.

Soon, however, he learned it the hard way.

Seraphina started hunting him down, chasing after him from city to city, forest to forest, attacking him whenever she had the chance.

Jest, who had never gone through such a kind of torture, was forced to go on the run while learning from every encounter until finally, after surviving hundreds of battles, he managed to defeat her.

But then, just when he had the chance to kill her, someone much stronger came to her aid. Naturally, Jest knew he was no match for this person.

However, to save his skin, he had to be tough, so using the importance of Seraphina to the green-haired lady, he played the right cards, managing to pull out her true intention, which was to protect Seraphina at all costs.

However, just when she was out of options, Jest chose to walk away. This move, however, was to ensure he owed the lady nothing.

He just wanted to make her know that as long as he wasn’t bothered, he too would not bother them.

If he had requested something from her, she would have had a reason to either find a way to kill him and get it back or even be able to track him.

Jest had just arrived in an Immortal World, so he was paranoid and now extremely cautious.

A deep sigh escaped his lips as he closed his eyes to review the 127 battles he fought with Seraphina. A few seconds into it, he gained enlightenment.
