Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 933: Let The Bidding War Begin

”400 million”

”500 million”

In no time, the price crossed 500 million, and it continued to climb. The war had only just begun, but it was heated.

Be it the people in the VIP rooms or the middle rooms, everyone was bidding. Some were using their communication crystals to call home and inform their families about what was up for sale.

Naturally, these people were banking their entire fortune on the Tier 18 Forsaken Race Soul Spirit.

Kent sat calmly with a smug expression on his face as he watched all this unfold.

He didn’t understand why these people were going all out for his Soul Spirit. To him, this Soul Spirit was merely an ingredient for refining weapons.

Although Kent was fascinated by the idea of refining treasures using soul spirits, he had no idea that Soul Spirits are actually the best materials one could refine.

Instead of merely using them as ingredients to refine a sword, one could refine a Soul Spirit into a Soul Puppet.

The process is complex and time-consuming, but if one were able to refine a Soul Spirit into a Soul Puppet, then not only would they have a powerful helper, but they would also have a terrifying puppet that can’t be killed by physical attacks.

In fact, Soul Puppets are so terrifying that if they were to appear on the battlefield, many would flee with their tails between their legs.

Only soul attacks could kill them.

However, since they are Soul Puppets, one would need extremely powerful soul attacks before they can confidently say they would be able to kill a Soul Puppet.

Naturally, that is one dangerous puppet everyone with functioning brain cells would want to have.

However, while a Tier 18 Soul Spirit could cause this much chaos, the real reason this bidding war had grown to such an extent was the nature of this particular Soul Spirit.

As a Soul Spirit from the Forsaken Race, the rules did not apply to it.

This means that if it were to be refined into a Soul Puppet, not only would it ignore all cultivation restriction rules, but it would also possess the potential to be upgraded to a Tier 20 Soul Puppet, making it several times stronger than a Heavenly Ascension stage cultivator.

So with this much potential displayed before them, it is perfectly understandable to see how wild these people had become.

”1 billion!” The lady from Heaven’s Eye raised the bid into the billions, causing many to drop out of the race instantly.

They may want the soul puppet, but they aren’t that rich to bank such a fortune on it. The chance of refining failure is also a factor here.

However, while many left the bidding war, many still chose to remain.

”1.2 billion”

”1.4 billion”

”2 billion” The lady raised the price again, and this time, even the man who bought the armour went quiet.

However, Kent, who was observing everything with his Soul Map, narrowed his gaze at the man’s VIP room.

’This lady is dead,’ Kent muttered.

He sensed it, and thanks to the Soul Map, he was able to discern that the killing intent surrounding the man’s room was genuine.

The man wouldn’t be losing this soul spirit today.

If he couldn’t win it fair and square in a bidding war, then he would steal it, even if it meant killing the lady.

Kent pondered.

After a few seconds, an evil smile appeared on his face. He closed his eyes and accessed his Soul Universe.

’After forming my core, I felt like I could increase my soul strength by two more levels. I am currently at Tier 14, which is comparable to a Spirit King. If I want to break through this formation, I must reach the Tier 15 stage.’

Kent looked at the asteroid inside his Soul Universe, and a smile formed on his face.

It had become so large that Kent didn’t even know if he had gone too far.

The diameter of the asteroid, although uneven, had already stretched past 300 km. It was so massive that Kent knew if he were to unleash it, even an Immortal would find it difficult to handle.

He looked around and saw smaller versions of the asteroids and a few Soul Bombs he had prepared for emergencies.

Then there were the refined swords.

Kent estimated that if he were to reach Tier 15, the swords would become even more potent. So, he paused all operations and began channelling the Soul Essence into his own soul.

In no time, he sensed his soul growing.

’To break the next limit, my soul needs to be at Tier 16.’

Kent hadn’t initially wanted to do this. He didn’t want to waste Soul Essence on advancing his soul strength since it wasn’t urgently needed.

But at this moment, he knew it was the only way to get what he wanted—and perhaps gain an ally from the past, someone he was certain would become a big shot in the future.

After a few minutes, he neared the Tier 15 stage and broke through. The moment he did, he sensed his Soul Universe grow much stronger.

However, Kent didn’t have time to dwell on that. The bidding war had already reached 3 billion, with the lady in the lead.

The Vice Leader of the Blue Flame Pill Palace was also unwilling to back out. He wanted the Soul Spirit, which at that moment seemed even more valuable than the armour he had bought.

He even blamed himself for buying the armour.

Buying the armour rendered him low on spirit stones, only adding to his fury.

Kent opened the Soul Map again, and this time, though their formation was still intact, he was able to see through it. He first focused on the man.

’A Dark Elf, huh? No wonder he was quick to exude killing intent.’ Kent saw through the man’s cultivation, and using his Enchanted Eyes, he observed that the Dark Elf had already broken fourteen limits on his body and had also reached Tier 17 in Soul Cultivation, as well as achieved a Diamond Body in Body Cultivation.

Although his main focus was on alchemy and flame arts, making that much progress in Soul and Body Cultivation was already commendable.

Kent then looked at the lady, and for a moment, his brow rose.

’A Lightning Human.’ Kent examined the beauty with blue hair, and for a brief moment, he was impressed by what he saw.

Although she possessed the same cultivations as the Dark Elf, she lagged in the number of limits broken. She had broken twelve, meaning she was behind in her Soul and Mind.

Though the difference was only two, in combat, just two could prove catastrophic.

Aside from that, Kent could sense that the Dark Elf was not simple. There was something about him that made Kent sense some form of danger from him.

Because of this, Kent decided to use someone else’s misfortune to gain his own fortune.

He focused on the Lightning Human’s VIP room and, using the Soul Map, sent a message to her.

”You don’t know me, and I most certainly don’t know you. However, I know all about you, down to the village where you were born.

But that is not why I am here. The reason you are hearing my voice in your head like your guardian angel is because today you’re fated to die—and I am the only one who can save you.”
