Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 925: Back To The Past

”So, like I said, the Grand Pill Tablet will answer one question for you, so you’d better make sure to ask the right question,” Kent heard Pill Monarch Nefeli’s voice, causing him to nod, though he had his brow raised.

’I guess I am back to where we left off last time.’ Kent turned around slightly and looked at the space he appeared in.

The limit breaking didn’t go as planned. It turns out his soul must reach Tier 16 before he can break the remaining limits.

Kent didn’t need that at the moment, so he chose to come back to the past and first raise his Alchemy to a higher stage, and if possible, since this is an alchemy world, he might just find a flame source he can use to form more Flame veins.

’Although there are a few minutes missing, considering I am now standing before this building while in fact, when I left the last time, we were miles away inside Pill Monarch’s Nefeli’s meeting hall’

He didn’t expect to reappear in the exact same world as before.

In a way, he had expected to appear in another of the Nine Pill Worlds left for him to explore. But now that he is in familiar territory, he quickly dismissed all other thoughts and chose to focus on the reason he had travelled 370,000 years into the past.

First, of course, was to claim the reward he had earned the last time he came.

The Grand Pill Tablet, according to Pill Monarch Nefeli, was a supreme item.

It was but a fragment of a greater treasure, said to be a Celestial Treasure. However, after it was broken into ten pieces, it regressed to the Supreme grade.

Still, this fragment, known as the Grand Pill Tablet, could answer any question one desired, provided it was related to the art of pill making.

Kent naturally has a question he wishes to ask, and so he wanted to settle that first before chasing after his main quest.

Of course, out of curiosity, and because of the friendly relationship they shared, Kent chose to ask, ”If you don’t mind me asking,” Kent turned to Pill Monarch Nefeli.

”Go ahead.”

”Do you know someone by the name Pill Saint Flura?”

Pill Monarch Nefeli raised her brow at the mention of the familiar name. She couldn’t help but shake her head slightly at the thought that Kent, who was from a different world, would know such a name.

”Who doesn’t know that arrogant child? Although she is among the best Pill Saints in the Ten Pill Worlds, she is both rude and arrogant.

Of course, she is from a big Alchemy family in Aerithyne, the fifth-ranked Pill World, so she has the right to be arrogant.

Though I can’t help but ask, why do you ask?”

”Nothing much. It’s just that my friend Suoh mentioned she had issued some kind of challenge, and so far, nobody has managed to win.”

Kent took a wild guess, believing the tower wouldn’t assign such a task as his last requirement to become a Pill Saint if challenging her would be next to impossible.

Pill Monarch Nefeli simply smiled. ”Ah, that. She indeed issued a challenge several months back. Whoever below or within the Pill Saint stage who manages to defeat her in a one-on-one alchemy duel, she will hand over her participant token for the upcoming Pill Ascension Competition.”

Pill Monarch Nefeli paused and looked at Kent. ”You aren’t planning on accepting her challenge, are you?”

Kent laughed. ”I was just asking, big sister. That said, would my status in the Pyris Pill Alliance shoot up if I were to hypothetically defeat her?”

Pill Monarch Nefeli shook her head and smiled.

”You will gain some merit and will, without a doubt, become popular. However, you must know that for someone who has been walking the pill path for decades now, she has accumulated immense experience, and in case you are unaware, the challenge she issued is to see who can concoct a better Tier 9 pill.

So far, nobody has come close to defeating her. Those who could defeat her don’t see any value in accepting her challenge since they already have a place in the upcoming Pill Ascension competition”

Kent just shook his head. ”I suppose I know the question I will be asking the Grand Pill Tablet now.”

Pill Monarch Nefeli looked at him for a few seconds and shook her head. ”Don’t waste your only question on how to defeat her. It is not worth it.

Although joining the Pill Ascension Competition will be great for a beginner, you must be at least a Pill Sage to qualify.

So don’t waste your one question.”

”I won’t be wasting it, Big Sister. And rest assured, I will defeat her in her own game and become a Pill Sage before this Pill Ascension Competition”

Pill Monarch Nefeli nodded and pointed at a stone door. A greenish smoke flew from her finger and landed on the door.

It trembled slightly, emitting a humming sound, before slowly opening.

”Go in. The moment your question is answered, you can choose to leave by willing it. However, if your question is not answered before the ten days are up, you will still be teleported out.”

Kent nodded and walked into the cave.

The stone door closed behind him.

After he left, Pill Monarch Nefeli sighed deeply.

”This Kent is not only resourceful but dangerous. Just now, when he looked at me, it felt as though I was staring into the eyes of a Primal Predator.”

Just thinking about it made her body tremble slightly. ”I’d better be careful around him, or he might affect my Dao Heart. Who knows how hard I worked to create this persona.”

Her mind drifted back to her life before she became an Alchemist, and a faint smile appeared on her face. ”Master said she would be in seclusion for 500,000 years. It has already been 130,000 years.

I have suppressed my cultivation base from Level 8 Heavenly Ascension to Level 7 Spirit Lord, just so I wouldn’t draw suspicion from my master’s enemies and mine.

If I were to falter now and reveal too much, who knows what would happen to me.”

She looked in the direction of the stone door and sighed. ”Master, you should succeed in comprehending the intent hidden within that sword stroke left behind by Lord Genesis before coming out.

I will do my best to become an Immortal once I consume that pill.”

She smiled, reading through the pill recipe Kent had given her. ”Though it won’t take long now, considering this genius boy named Kent has just handed me something that could drive even Supremes to claw their faces.”

After standing there for a few minutes, she left and returned to the last floor of the Pyris Pill Pagoda. She took out a communication crystal and activated it.

”Pill Emperor Hakan, I want you to go to Aerithyne and keep a close eye on that arrogant Pill Saint. A friend of mine will be coming to challenge her, and while he is strong and capable, this is a Supreme High World, and we both know there are hidden dangers everywhere. So, when the time comes, ensure he is safe.”

”I will use my life to shield him if it comes to that.”

Although the other end of the call exaggerated a bit, Pill Monarch Nefeli nodded and ended the call.

”Kent Madson, just who are you?” After muttering this last line, she closed her eyes to meditate.

[Kent vs. the Grand Pill Tablet]

Meanwhile, as Kent appeared on the other side of the stone door, a glowing green tablet, about 8 feet tall and 7 feet wide, greeted him.

Kent immediately felt an overwhelming attraction to it. It was almost like a younger brother reuniting with his elder sibling after a long time apart.

This strange familiarity drew Kent closer to the Grand Pill Tablet until he gently touched it. The instant he did, he felt a prick on his finger as the tablet drew his blood.

Then a voice filled the room.

”Although you are much weaker and less handsome, you smell and taste like my master. This can only mean you have reincarnated and now carry his bloodline and memories.

I miss you so much, Master.”

Kent, who hadn’t expected this turn of events, raised his brow in shock. But his surprise didn’t end there.

The moment the voice echoed, a charming young girl dressed in white, appearing no older than ten, emerged from the Grand Pill Tablet, causing Kent to instinctively take a few steps back.
