Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 82: The Enchanted Book

”Tower, before we get into the rewards, can you tell me more about the towers? I seem to have noticed that some were giving me classes and subclasses. What is the difference here?” Kent asked.

So far, he has unlocked the Harem, Alchemy, Swordsmanship, Soul Cultivation, Guardian, and Servant Towers. However, among these six towers, only three had given him a profession, so he just couldn’t wrap his mind around it.

[The towers are in two forms, Primordial and Mystical. Primordial Towers are designed to give you a class and subclasses once they are unlocked. The Swordsmanship, Alchemy, and Soul Cultivation Towers are examples of this.

Then there are the Mystical Towers, designed to aid the master in managing all the different aspects he wants to handle. For example, if you want to manage your women and ensure they grow along with you, the Harem Tower is designed for that.

Because you haven’t fully awakened the towers, you won’t understand much of what I am saying, but the moment you gain first-hand access to them, you will see how advanced and helpful they can be.

Just like how you have Dual Cultivation, you can exploit other avenues once you awaken it. The tower is more advanced than you think.]

”I see. So, how many Primordial and Mystical Towers are there?” Kent asked. Although he had no plans to awaken many, since focusing on all would be a headache, he still had to ask.

[This question cannot be answered as there are many towers to choose from. But since the master asked, I can say that if you meet the requirements, you will be able to unlock hundreds of towers. After all, you are the Master of the Towers.]

”That makes me happy to hear. It would be great, though, if I could bestow towers on my women and help them grow,” Kent sighed.

”Alright, let’s dig in.” Kent wasn’t about to focus on things he couldn’t access at the moment. Once he becomes a Tower Master by reaching the level of Root Grandmaster, he will be able to focus on that.

”It looks like the Soul Cultivation is contributing to my spiritual strength,” Kent smiled, watching the status page.

So far, his stats had been boosted much higher, and although he didn’t know exactly how much he had grown, just feeling his soul strength, he could tell he had become much stronger.

”Tower, let’s continue with the Soul Cultivation subclass.”

”This is good, then. Too bad I didn’t get any new skills besides [Soul Absorb],” Kent sighed.

So far, aside from having a powerful soul and the ability to absorb soul essence and memories, he didn’t have much use for the Soul Cultivation class.

[The master can buy Soul Cultivator skills and techniques from the Tower Store once it awakens.] The tower always had a fix. Kent could only nod to that.

”I guess I will focus on strengthening my soul so I can handle those techniques once I get them. That said, what next... Let’s focus on the quests for now. The Guardian and Servant Tower can be handled later.”

[Rewards: Diary of the Celestial Alchemist Vol. 1]

”Wait, what? Tower, is this what I think it is?” Kent held a smile on his face. If this was what he was thinking, then he was about to become very happy.

[Yes, Master, this is exactly what you are thinking. The diary is an account of the Celestial Alchemist, the same alchemist you are learning from.]

”Damn, could my day get any better than this?” Kent smiled and retrieved the diary. It was a book like the small diaries back on Earth, just as he had expected. But this one was much more mystical in a way.

Just holding it gave Kent a sense of déjà vu. It felt so real to him in ways he didn’t understand. However, he was more than happy to be holding it.

He touched it against his forehead in an attempt to learn it quickly, but it didn’t disperse.

”Huh?”

[The master cannot use the same old way to learn this. This book is the account of the Celestial Alchemist. The master must read it like a good old book should be read.]

”I see.” Kent wasn’t disappointed.

It had been a year since he had read like a normal person, so he could only start now. Of course, this diary was just around 70 pages, so he wouldn’t even need a week to finish it.

”Let me put this on hold for now. I suppose it contains additional knowledge on alchemy, and I cannot speed-read it like I used to.”

Back on Earth, after he was killed, the police unearthed hundreds of books from his house, earning him the title God of Readers.

He had read hundreds of books, so after checking his online accounts and the reviews he had left, many authors were in tears.

Many had been searching for the reader named ’Xytor’ for years, never realizing their good old movie director was him. He made sure to correct them where they were wrong and encouraged them not to give up on their books.

It had been an emotional moment for many authors back on Earth.

”Next quest, Tower,” Kent said with a smile. For some reason, he couldn’t wait to delve into the diary.

[Rewards: Kingdom Building Enchanted Book]

”Another book. I wonder what this does.” Kent retrieved the book, which was a little bigger than the diary. It was about the size of an A4 sheet and contained only one page.

”Tower!”

[Name: Kingdom Building Enchanted Book]

[Grade: Spiritual Grade]

[Type: Enchanted]

-- Long ago, the god of travelers sought to travel to a distant world. However, he knew nothing of this world, and from what he knew, you can’t ask for direction when you get there. Once you step in, you are on your own.

-- Nobody travels there. But the god of travelers wanted to go. So he sought out an enchantress, who he asked for a way to know everything about this world.

-- The enchantress created the [Kingdom Building Enchanted Book] and gave it to him. This book will tell him everything he needs to know about this strange world. In return, she asked for an unknown favor.

-- The God of Travelers readily accepted this unknown favor that was only made known when he bound with the book.

-- Till this day, the god of travelers never returned from his journey, and the enchantress never got the favor she asked for.

-- Nobody knew what this favor was and what happened to the god of travelers. But one thing is certain: whoever dares to bind with this book will inherit this favor.

-- The enchantress has willed it.

[Does the master wish to form a soul contract with this book]
