Global Rainstorm: I built a sky city in the doomsday

Chapter 15 The most amazing press conference in history, it seems like not a single word is true? !Bang bang.

At this time, there was a gentle knock on the door.

Lin Yang opened the door and saw Shen Weiwei holding a watermelon in one hand and high-end nuts in the other, ”Mr. Lin, did it disturb your rest?”

”No, you are...”

”It’s like this. A batch of very fresh, crisp and sweet watermelons came to the supermarket today. I thought the weather was too hot, so I wanted to share some fresh fruits with you.”

Shen Wenwan said with a sincere smile, a voice as natural as the sound of nature, and a hint of girlish shyness. ”And these nuts. Considering that the weather is hot and I don’t have much appetite for food, you can eat more nuts. Not only are they nutritious, but they can also satisfy your cravings~~”

Seeing that the other party was thinking about himself so much, it would be inappropriate to turn people away. Lin Yang took the gift brought by the other party and said with a smile: ”Manager Shen is interested. Come in for a drink.”

”Hehe, you’re welcome, Mr. Lin. We are neighbors. You can call me Wenwan.”

Shen Wenwan was overjoyed, put on her slippers and walked into Lin Yang’s home. ”Wow, are you watching the Sky City press conference? Has it started?”

Lin Yang was a little surprised and asked, ”What, are you interested?”

”Yeah, of course, this is the fastest infrastructure construction speed on Blue Star!”

Speaking of this 1,500-meter-high city in the sky, Shen Wenwan said with longing. ”Mr. Lin, do you like it too?”

”Yeah, I like it too.”

Lin Yang spoke from the bottom of his heart. After all, this was his indestructible apocalyptic refuge. He asked with interest. ”Why do you like this city in the sky?”

Shen Wenwan didn’t think for a moment and said seriously: ”First of all, its architecture is very strange. The bottom looks like a super large chimney. It is different from the smoke stack. Its structure is more complicated. After one thousand meters, various shapes begin to appear. All kinds of buildings of different grades are definitely designed by the best designers in the world.”

”Not only that, the construction speed of the Sky City is so fast that even a big country like Xia State, which is crazy about infrastructure, puts it to shame.”

”The scenery above must be beautiful~~Wow, I said too much.”

Realizing that she had said too much at once, Shen Wenwan seemed a little embarrassed, showed a hint of apology, and looked at the TV screen where the official press conference was about to be held.

Lin Yang smiled and said nothing.

This girl does have some sharp eyesight, but she has much more substance than those girls who just know how to chase sticks.

He also calmed down and turned on his mobile phone to view the live broadcast, which was almost synchronized with the TV screen.

In the picture, a dozen dead engineers, led by a white-haired old man, sat in rows on a makeshift platform.

Behind them is the tallest building in the world: City in the Sky, which towers into the sky as far as the eye can see.

At the bottom of the huge chimney, every few hundred meters, there are big characters: City in the Sky. The four words were photographed by reporters on the scene, which is extremely fascinating.

”Okay everyone, it is now 12:30 noon. This is Haishi TV Station. I am our reporter Wang Bingbing. Our on-site staff are already in place to broadcast the completion conference of Sky City in real time.”

Wang Bingbing, a beautiful reporter who became popular on the Internet some time ago, appeared in the camera, showing a sweet smile and talking eloquently. ”At the same time, we will also conduct a live broadcast of Douyin online to welcome everyone. In three minutes, the ceremony will officially begin.”

At this time, people from all over the country gathered in front of the TV.

But most people were holding their mobile phones and watching this feast:

[Made, brothers, is this true or false? It looks too high! 】

[Can one thousand five hundred meters be lower? 】

[Xia Guo is awesome. It is estimated that no country will be able to surpass the height of this building in a short time, right? 】

[I’m not bragging, even if I was given one million I wouldn’t dare go up there, for fear of being scared to death. 】

[The temperature is 43 degrees, my whole body is very hot, but my heart is ice cold! 】

[With this speed of infrastructure construction, wouldn’t it be a shoddy project? 】

【……】

”Everyone, it is now 12:30 noon, and the ceremony begins!”

Wang Bingbing’s voice rang in the ears of hundreds of millions of people. In the picture, a beautiful host wearing a long skirt walked onto the stage.

”Dear friends visiting the hotel, friends from the media, and viewers in front of the TV and mobile live broadcast rooms, good afternoon to everyone!”

After the warm applause from the audience, the female host continued. ”Now, we are at the entrance of Sky City. The guests sitting on the stage include some engineers from Sky City and leaders of relevant departments of Hai City. Let us welcome you with applause again.”

There was another burst of warm applause, and then the hostess started talking, letting the official leaders speak first, and then it was the turn of the first dead soldier.

At the same time, in order to increase interactivity, the host has made an appointment with Wang Bingbing, the station’s most beautiful reporter. Wang Bingbing formally walked on stage, greeted everyone, and formally asked: ”Excuse me, chief engineer, are you Can you tell us what your original intention was in building this tallest building in the world?”

”Take refuge!”

The gray-haired dead soldier replied with a sincere and honest look. ”When the chairman of our company issued the order to us, he said that in the next period of time, there may be heavy rains in large areas around the world, and the duration will not be short. He was worried that the land would be flooded, so he suddenly ordered us Buy the land and build this city in the sky.”

As soon as this statement came out, everyone in the audience was shocked.

The online audience was filled with barrages of disbelief;

[Oh my god, this is what rich people are like. They are so willful, aren’t they? ]

[It feels like building a building worth hundreds of billions is as easy as eating goose for a few days! ]

[But I always feel that my brain is not working well. Can there be a rainstorm on such a hot day? Even if there is, there is no need to build such a tall building, right? ]

[Rich people are afraid of death. This behind-the-scenes boss is the same person as the behind-the-scenes boss of the Water God Shipyard a few days ago? ]

[Even if they are not the same person, I guess they are in the same circle! ]

[Either he is crazy or I am crazy! ]

[……]

”So, Mr. Chief Engineer, is it convenient for you to reveal the cost of the Sky City?”

Wang Bingbing continued to ask. ”It doesn’t matter if it’s inconvenient. We can ask the next question.”

”It’s not inconvenient. The total cost of the Sky City is only 500 billion.”

The dead soldier said calmly. ”Our chairman’s initial budget was 800 billion. After our savings, we ended up with 300 billion.”

Wang Bingbing’s heartbeat quickened. Even though she was an old hand, she had never encountered such a big battle.

The 300 billion and 500 billion, when spoken by this general, were no different from ordinary people saying 3 or 5 yuan.

What kind of existence is behind this? !

After adjusting her mood, Wang Bingbing continued to ask: ”Mr. Chairman of your company, do you really believe that there will be a rainstorm doomsday? All of us are very curious, please understand.”

”We believe in Mr. Chairman.”

The dead man smiled slightly, glanced at the time, and said. ”According to him, about 23 hours later, the rainstorm doomsday will officially arrive. Friends who are interested in survival, perhaps the last twenty hours or so are your chance, please hurry up and prepare.”

Everyone: ”...”
