Earth's Greatest Magus

Julian’s voice thundered through the battlefield as he stood tall, declaring,

“Now you shall witness the true power of one mandated by the heavens!”

In that moment, he unleashed his most formidable ability—a divine skill earned through his success at the Trial of Faith. The air around him crackled with energy as he summoned the [Guardian of Faith – Michael], a spell that connected him directly to the supreme celestial being.

The power of divinity surged, and the radiant halo behind Julian glowed with ethereal brilliance. For a brief moment, it was as if the very spirit of Michael, one of the most revered Supreme Seraph, descended into the arena. The presence was overwhelming, but just as quickly as it manifested, the spirit seemed to meld into Julian’s form, the divine energy absorbed into his body.

His halo and four majestic wings shimmered, shifting from its ethereal light to a metallic form, pulsating with holy flames. His very being transformed, with the heavenly power wrapping around him like sacred armor. Both his sword and shield gleamed, now reinforced by this celestial force. Julian had transformed into a figure of divine retribution, armored in the essence of heaven itself, standing tall like a celestial knight ready to bring judgment.

Emery could sense the monumental surge of Julian’s strength. The divine transformation had elevated Julian’s power to a point where even VIA could not read. A wry smile crept across Emery’s face as he realized how serious this had become.

“Alright then, Let’s see which is stronger—your god’s shining light, or the darkness being in me.” With a sharp breath, he whispers upon the ancient dragon within him. “Killgragah!”

The deep, guttural voice of the savage dragon resonated through Emery’s mind, eager for battle.

In a heartbeat, the raw power of Khaos surged through Emery’s veins, and the form of the savage dragon began to materialize around him. Its dark, ominous silhouette loomed large, mirroring Emery’s every move, amplifying his strength. With no more words, both warriors launched themselves forward in an explosive clash.

BAAAMMM!!!

The force of their initial strike sent shockwaves through the palace, the air around them rippling with the sheer magnitude of their power. Their weapons collided in rapid succession, each strike causing the very ground beneath them to tremble. Sparks flew, and the palace walls echoed with the sound of their fierce battle.

Both moved like blurs, each hit reverberating like thunder.

Julian’s divinely enhanced form glowed with radiant energy, his metallic wings slicing through the air, while Emery’s moved within the darkness, through his spatial bending. It was a contest between light and darkness, each warrior pushing their limits in a struggle that far surpassed any Magus battle.

Around them, the palace guards, even those at the saint level, were thrown back by the sheer force of the battle, unable to withstand the shockwaves radiating from the center of the fight. Only those of the highest caliber remained standing.

Athena observed with a certain unease, but there was a glint of pride in her eyes as she watched Julian harness his celestial might. Meanwhile, Annara’s concern grew, her gaze shifting between the two combatants.

Her concern wasn’t for Emery’s safety. She knew him well enough to be confident in his abilities. No, what troubled her was the outcome of this battle. Whether Julian emerged victorious or Emery triumphed, the repercussions would be disastrous for Earth’s magus.

“Huh… if only Klea were here,” she muttered under her breath, her frustration palpable.

The battle raged on, both sides pushing beyond their limits, neither willing to yield an inch. Their bodies were marked with deep, gruesome wounds—gashes from swords, burns from divine light, and bones fractured under the relentless barrage of blows. Yet, within moments, their regenerative abilities kicked in. It was as though neither could fall—two immortal forces trapped in an endless cycle of destruction and regeneration.

Each clash was more devastating than the last. The ground beneath them was scorched and torn as they exchanged hundreds of strikes, each one carrying the weight of their convictions.

Emery, fueled by his simmering disappointment and rage. On the other side, Julian, driven by rivalry and pride, would not accept defeat—not after all he had endured.

Determined to end this once and for all, Emery channeled the devastating power of his [3 Axis Mountain] combo. It was a move that carried the crushing weight of mountains, each strike building upon the last, compounding with unstoppable force. The very ground trembled beneath the sheer intensity, cracks forming under his feet as the force radiated outward, threatening to obliterate everything in its path.

Julian, sensing the full might of Emery’s attack, braced himself, the divine energy surged through him, creating a radiant shield that wrapped around his entire body. He planted his feet firmly on the ground, every muscle in his body straining as he met the oncoming storm.

BAAMM!! BAAMM!! BAAM!!!

The deafening sound reverberated through the crumbling Nova Roma. The continuous shockwaves finally proved too much for the grand palace to withstand as the walls around them cracked and groaned under pressure, and with a tremendous roar, the building above them began to collapse.

Stone and rubble rained down, yet neither fighter seemed to care. They fought on, completely absorbed in their duel, ignoring the devastation around them.

The final clash came with a cataclysmic impact.

Emery’s savage sword was knocked from his grasp, sent flying across the room from the sheer force of Julian’s counter. Simultaneously, Julian’s sword fell to the ground as he was forced to his knees, his legs giving out under the brutal impact that had torn through his defenses. In a swift, fluid motion, Julian stood and swung his massive shield, aiming to deliver a crushing blow to Emery’s face. But Emery’s instincts took over. His clawed arm shot up and caught the shield in mid-swing, halting the attack just inches from his face.

It suddenly became a brutal contest of strength. Emery’s and Julian’s locked in a deadly grapple, neither willing to back down. Stone and debris continued to fall around them, but they were locked in their own world of battle, their eyes burning with resolve.

Emery felt the tension between them reach its peak. He could sense Julian pouring every last ounce of his strength into holding the shield in place, determined not to let Emery through. The veins in Julian’s arms bulged as he gritted his teeth, his voice roaring with defiance.

“You will not take another step!! NO!”

Emery replied with a glint of a smile “Really? Then let’s see if you can handle this…”

Julian’s resolve faltered as he felt something shift—something he wasn’t prepared for.

The arms Emery had locked against his shield began to morph, swelling with dark energy, the sinew and muscle bulging unnaturally. The claws grew larger, their blackened fur glowing faintly with a menacing aura. Julian could feel the power radiating from the monstrous arms pressing against him, his senses screaming danger.

HOWLLLL!!!

Julian’s eyes widened in disbelief as Emery’s raw power overwhelmed him. The shield, which he had clung to with all his might, was wrenched from his grasp as if it were nothing.

“What?! This can’t be!”
