Earth's Greatest Magus

The Nexus ship descended gracefully into the much-developed Terra City, revealing a landscape adorned with predominantly yellow-stoned structures, each designed with a unique touch that bespoke the planet’s identity. As the ship approached the city, the modernized urban sprawl unfolded beneath, showcasing the result of significant changes and advancements.

Klea, who hadn’t visited in a few years, marveled at the changes that had taken place since her last visit. The once-familiar areas had undergone a significant transformation, a testament to Emery’s commitment to turning Terra City into a formidable faction base. The residential and commercial zones, which were previously situated between the palace and the teleportation gate, had been systematically relocated two miles to the east. This expansion stretched toward a highway leading to the neighboring Raven City.

In the wake of this restructuring, the space around the teleportation gate and extending toward the Terra Palace had been meticulously adorned with beautiful gardens.

Solid fortress-like structures, strategically positioned created a protective boundary around the central hub, leading to the palace next to the hills where stood a magnificent statue of the city’s Hero and founder.

Emery’s decision to focus on security reflected his commitment to making it a formidable faction base at Terra City. The result was a harmonious blend of aesthetics and functionality, setting the stage for the next chapter for Earth faction.

The Nexus ship touched down gracefully in the newly constructed secured hangar, surrounded by a fleet of various ships, including the formidable Terra battleship that often accompanied them into battle.

As Emery, Gwen, Klea, and Morgana disembarked from the Nexus ship, they were greeted by a contingent of saint-level guards, their disciplined ranks led by a familiar face. Camila, the third widow of Lord Izta, stepped forward with an open smile, radiating warmth in her welcome.

“Brother Emery, welcome back,” she greeted Emery warmly and turned to Klea, giving her a heartfelt hug. “Sister Klea, it’s been a while.”

Camila had taken charge of Terra’s security, utilizing her scientific expertise to enhance and operate the city’s defense systems to their full potential. Aware of the incoming flight and recognizing it as their young lord, she had come to personally welcome him.

With a curious glance toward the speechless Gwen, Camila inquired, “So, where are you heading today?”

Emery turned toward Gwen, who was still absorbing the surroundings, then decided, “The usual place first.”

Camila’s smile widened at Emery’s response as she guided them through the intricately designed structures towards the hill where the imposing statue of Lord Izta stood. The breathtaking view of Terra City unfolded before them, providing a picturesque backdrop for the ensuing conversation.

Emery began by paying his respects to the hero’s statue, a tradition that held profound significance for him. As they stood before the monument, Emery narrated the tale of the great hero whose name had nearly faded into obscurity within Earth’s history. Gwen listened with surprise, realizing that the roots of Terra City traced back to their own heritage, with Earth’s ancient legend now immortalized in the city’s foundation.

Unlike other cities with bustling markets and entertainment venues, Terra City held a unique charm in its focus on development and security. Emery led Gwen and the two girls through the evolving city, showcasing the new facilities that were integral to its growth.

One notable establishment was the Terra Barrack, strategically positioned next to the palace. What was once the training ground for Emery and Klea in preparation for the Magus Academy had now expanded tenfold in size, a testament to the city’s commitment to nurturing its defenders.

As they stepped into the expansive yards of the Terra Barrack, a sight greeted them that surpassed expectations. A disciplined and formidable force of over 3000 personnel stood in precise formations, a testament to the efficiency of Magus Camila’s command. The news of Emery’s arrival had spread quickly, prompting the warriors to assemble swiftly.

The Terra forces were organized into three divisions, each comprising 1000 Sky Realm warriors in silver uniforms, 100 Saint Realm warriors adorned in golden attire, and 10 magus. The convergence of 30 magus, all proudly displaying the emblem of Terra City, created a breathtaking spectacle.

“Attention!! Salute to Lord Emery!!”

The rhythmic sound of boots hitting the ground and the clinking of armor echoed through the yards was an impressive display.

Commanding this remarkable force was Magus Grisa, the Fourth widow of Lord Izta, a fierce berserker with wild curls and a colossal axe resting on her shoulder. Under her leadership, the 3000-strong force greeted their lords with precision and discipline that resonated through the formation. This sight particularly overwhelmed Gwen, as even the lowest-ranked warriors emanated an aura of strength maybe even stronger than herself.

After the formal welcome, Magus Grisa guided the group on a tour of the Terra Barrack. The expansive training grounds were equipped with cutting-edge facilities and magical training equipment. Magus Grisa, who had earned a reputation for her prowess in battle, shared insights into the training routines and the camaraderie among the warriors, emphasizing her commitment to nurturing a powerful and well-prepared force.

During the tour, Magus Grisa explained that an additional division, the Fourth Division, was currently on patrol. Coupled with 1000 city guards, Terra City boasted a formidable defense force of 5000 strong warriors, ensuring the security and stability of their burgeoning home.

Emery expressed satisfaction and engaged in a conversation with the formidable berserker. “How are you keeping up with your post?” Magus Grisa responded with unwavering enthusiasm, expressing the restlessness of the warriors under her command and their eagerness for action. “The men are ready for any mission; they can’t wait to show their strength,” she declared with a hint of excitement.

“Very well,” Emery acknowledged, assuring her that he would discuss potential assignments with the other sister later. As he turned to leave, Magus Camila, inquired about their next destination.

“So are we going to the palace now? Sister Rosia and Silica are still in training, let me inform them first”

Emery, with a raised hand, replied, “Not now, I have another place to visit.”

Camila, with a slight chuckle, remarked, “Yes, of course, you do.”

This cryptic exchange immediately caught Klea’s attention, and she couldn’t resist asking, “What is it? Tell me.” Her curiosity heightened, especially since Morgana seemed to be privy to the information.

Camilla responded, “It’s better if you see for yourself.”
