Earth's Greatest Magus

Glita’s stunning transformation ability had elevated her and Brandt as the top fighters, setting the stage for intense matchups. The random draw dictated that Brandt, the Vanir warrior, would face the formidable Britannia Queen, Gweeneth. Simultaneously, Glita found herself paired against the determined Octavius. The crowd erupted in cheers as the matchups were revealed, each anticipating the thrilling battles that were about to unfold.

As the competitors readied themselves for the showdown, the audience buzzed with excitement. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation, and all eyes were fixed on the arena, eagerly awaiting the clash of these exceptional warriors.

On the special stage, Klea seized the opportunity to heighten the mood among the magus observers. With a mischievous glint in her eyes, she initiated a playful game.

“You’ve seen them fight; now, let me hear who you think will win?” she declared, engaging the Emissaries in a spirited discussion.

Emissary Soto, assessing the prowess of the fighters, confidently put his bet on Brandt. The Vanir warrior’s obvious superiority in battle made him the logical choice in his eyes. However, Emissary Nathan offered a different perspective. His gaze shifted toward Emery, as he said.

“This girl, Glita, must be part of your wolf pack, isn’t she? Then my bet is on her.”

Emery, maintaining a neutral stance, refrained from choosing sides. However, a subtle sense of emotion lingered within him. He couldn’t help but feel a surge of pride as Gwen stood confidently in the arena, prepared to face Brandt.

The atmosphere in the arena shifted as Brandt, the Vanir warrior, opted for a moment of dialogue before engaging in battle.

“Let me fight you with the legendary sword,” he proposed to Gwen, a request that carried a certain gravity.

Gwen, gave a respectful gesture but firmly refused the request, “Please allow me to fight without it.” She hopes not to disrespect the warrior while upholding her own principles.

In response, Brandt swung his spear into position, signaling his readiness for combat. Gwen, unwavering, raised both her sword and shield, preparing for the impending clash. The initial exchanges between the two warriors unfolded slowly, each cautiously measuring up their opponent before escalating to more powerful techniques.

Each of Brandt’s blows possessed a formidable force, capable of pushing Gwen back several steps. The impact was palpable, and it became apparent that these strikes were harder than those Gwen had faced from the Valkyrie before. Her shield proved crucial in deflecting the force; without it, she might have found herself on her knees.

Undeterred by the forceful onslaught, Gwen didn’t hesitate to counter. Charging forward, she closed the distance between them, opting to engage Brandt in close quarters. While this decision increased her vulnerability, it also nullified some of the advantages held by the spear-wielding warrior. The audience, captivated by the strategic dynamics of the battle, watched as the clash of sword and spear unfolded with a palpable intensity.

From the special stage, Emery keenly observed the stark contrast between the two fighters. It went beyond mere differences in their physique; Brandt, a formidable rank 9, had successfully formed five pillars, boasting an impressive spirit force exceeding 700. In contrast, Gwen remained at her peak rank 8, with less than 500 spirit force. The glaring numerical imbalance set the stage for what appeared to be an uphill battle for the Britannia Queen.

The audience, including Emery, recognized the apparent disadvantage Gwen faced. It seemed clear that she wouldn’t be able to sustain herself in the face of Brandt’s overwhelming strength for long. However, to the surprise of everyone present, Gwen once again began to emanate a radiant light energy. Gradually, her battle power rose, and her spirit proved strong enough to compel the Vanir warrior to take her seriously.

As the battle unfolded, it reached a climactic moment marked by a decisive blow. The eruption of power within Gwen’s body signaled a breakthrough into rank 9. The unexpected surge in her abilities caught both Emery and the spectators off guard. However, despite this remarkable achievement, Gwen’s body had been drained of all stamina in the process. The fight reached its conclusion with Brandt declared as the victor, leaving Gwen valiant but ultimately unable to secure the win.

“Thank you for the fight,” Gwen expressed her gratitude with genuine sincerity. Her words resonated with a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. Winning had never been her primary goal; instead, she entered the arena to test and fortify her resolve, a mission she undeniably achieved.

Emery couldn’t help but nod in pride at Gwen’s remarkable achievement. With her ascent to rank 9, the Britannia Queen would undoubtedly unlock new dimensions in her utilization of the legendary sword, a prospect that filled Emery with anticipation.

The upcoming match featured Octavius, Rome’s top genius, against the deceptively simple yet undeniably formidable fey girl, Glita. The contrast in their appearances only increased the intrigue of the impending battle. Googlᴇ search novᴇl(ꜰ)ire.ɴet

Klea, with a chuckle, acknowledged her belief in Glita’s victory but couldn’t suppress a hint of cheering for the Roman genius. After all, Octavius was the best outcome of the academy she had contributed to building 15 years ago.

As the anticipation reached its peak, the senior monk declared, “Fight start!”

In the initial stages of the battle, Octavius displayed exceptional strength and agility, swiftly commanding the arena and forcing Glita into a defensive position. Recognizing the need to match her opponent’s heightened physical prowess, Glita, with a quick decision, invoked her wolf transformation, amplifying her speed and strength to levels that surpassed the Roman.

As Glita unleashed faster and more powerful strikes, the tide of the battle quickly became in her favor. However, Octavius, undeterred and unwilling to concede defeat easily, refused to back down.

“Not yet!” he exclaimed, determination evident in his voice.

Octavius began resorting to desperate tactics, utilizing bright spells that disrupted Glita’s sight and manipulating the terrain to trap the half-wolf girl. These unconventional strategies, born out of Octavius’s cunning, successfully confused Glita, enabling him to score several wounds on her.

The crowd, however, grew increasingly restless and rowdy, expressing their dissatisfaction with Octavius’s unconventional fighting methods. Consumed by their deep-

seated hatred toward Rome, the spectators were unable to appreciate the tactical maneuvers Octavius employed.

“I am sorry,” Octavius uttered, preceding what seemed like an impending critical blow. However, just as he was about to reach Glita, his body abruptly became ensnared in dark vines, halting his advance with a forceful restraint. The low-tier spell, cast with masterful precision, proved strong enough to effectively immobilize Octavius. Glita, displaying a hint of annoyance, turned toward the Roman, showcasing her sharp claws.

“Are you ready to give up?? or…”

Octavius, acknowledging the futility of his position, conceded defeat. The crowd erupted in cheers as Glita garnered her place in the final. Amid the celebration, Klea directed a meaningful stare at Emery and started telepathic communication.
