Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2083: Individual Growth

As the acolytes engaged in training sessions with the Chizpurs, Emery seized the opportunity to conduct a thorough assessment of their individual progress.

Among them, two acolytes stood out for their remarkable growth: Dillion and Ha Ron. Both exhibited a commendable dedication to their development. However, their approaches differed significantly.

Dillion possessed exceptional talent, boasting an S-ranking aptitude that set him apart. His innate abilities were evident in his swift progress and mastery of techniques. In contrast, Ha Ronʼs strength lay in his potential. Like a fish suddenly released into the vast ocean, he absorbed every lesson with astonishing speed, showing a natural aptitude for learning.

During their personal coaching sessions, Emery imparted valuable knowledge to Dillion and Ha Ron, tailoring his teachings to their unique strengths and abilities.

For Dillion, Emery focused on expanding his repertoire of spells, particularly emphasizing the mastery of a gravity spell. This spell, when wielded with precision, could significantly enhance Dillionʼs combat prowess, allowing him to manipulate the battlefield to his advantage.

As for Ha Ron, Emery delved into the fundamentals of infusing his sword with spirit energy. Drawing from his own experiences and the teachings of his esteemed mentor, Master Xion, Emery guided Ha Ron through the intricacies of [darkness infusion] techniques.

Ha Ron began to exhibit an increasing mastery over the power of his ʼlaw of the sword.ʼ This newfound control allowed him to unleash formidable strenght, which contributed to his impressive second-place victory, surpassing even Kat and Shinta in the sword duels.

Although Ha Ron currently held the peak rank 8 position, Emery foresaw his potential to rival even Dillionʼs strength within a year or two, given the right guidance.

However, Emery recognized the limitations of his perspective, acknowledging that his assessment was biased due to his expertise in swordsmanship and darkness elements—areas that aligned closely with his teachings.

When Klea brought King Rigʼs talents to Emeryʼs attention, he remained open-minded. The Mayan warrior displayed an aptitude comparable to Dillion, prompting Klea to speak highly of him.

”Imagine Thraxʼs battle spirit combined with my spirit talent!”

Intrigued by Kleaʼs assessment, Emery began to view King Rig in a new light. Upon further observation, he confirmed Kleaʼs evaluation and selected King Rig as the second acolyte to receive his personal coaching.

Meanwhile, Damo and Kat, who had been patiently awaiting their turn for personal instruction from Emery, would need to wait a bit longer. Despite showing some growth, they still had much to learn under the guidance of Ahaka and Klea.

Emery carefully assessed his potential lineup for the upcoming five-man tournaments, identifying Ha Ron, and King Rig as promising contenders. However, their cultivation levels were still lacking, and Emery had made a promise to prioritize their safety. Therefore, he has no plan to allow them to participate, especially with the next game scheduled in three months.

Despite their dedication, Emery, Klea, and Ashaka struggled to identify any standout specialties among the other six seniors. They could only assist them in their steady growth, lacking any outstanding skills or skills that could set them apart.

Among the ranks, there was one notable acolyte, Blaine, the Mythical insectoid half-blood with considerable strength. However, despite Blaineʼs potential, he had shown minimal interest in Emeryʼs teachings over the past few months. While they found some intrigue in the [Dao Heart] and [Dao Steps], they exhibited zero interest in sword fighting, leading to their multiple absences from his sessions.

Emery also faced a dead end in his efforts to unravel the mystery of their insectoid genes. Lacking expertise and sufficient samples, he struggled to make progress. Whenever he considered seeking out an expert in bloodline genetics, he couldnʼt shake the image of frog hybrids from his mind.

Fortunately, Ashaka recently discovered a technique that seemed suitable for them. The [9 Sun Divine Technique] and [9 Moon Divine Technique], skills previously passed down to Thrax and Klea, proved to be not only a right fit for each acolyte but also complemented each other perfectly. These divine methods formed a pair, balancing out each otherʼs weaknesses and strengths.

As Emery watched the siblings diligently practicing these techniques, a sense of satisfaction and optimism washed over him. He couldnʼt help but feel hopeful about the potential growth and progress that lay ahead for them.

Among the other first-years, Emeryʼs attention was drawn to three in particular: the two centurions and Hardy. Each of them exhibited a high mental resilience to learn spirit reading, and Emery had been patiently waiting for the opportune moment to nurture their talents. However, the centurions were currently engrossed in their [Dao Sword] training, leaving little room for additional instruction.

As for Hardy, the young noble had been a cause for concern for Emery. Despite confirming the presence of poison in the Kaleos princeʼs body—an affliction that hindered his spirit core—Hardy remained oblivious to the news and unconcerned about his condition. It was a troubling revelation that spoke volumes about Hardyʼs carefree demeanor.

Empathize with the young noble, Emery devoted his expertise skills in apothecary to create a cure for Hardyʼs affliction. In fact, he had successfully eradicated the toxin from Hardyʼs body. However, much to his dismay, it only lasted for a few days before the poison resurfaced, infiltrating Hardyʼs system once again. Despite Emeryʼs attempts with two different recipes, the outcome remained unchanged.

Ulong, the young mythical boar, posed a unique challenge for Emery. Unlike the other acolytes, he displayed zero interest in any form of training.

The only noticeable improvement was in his gradually increasing spirit force, likely a result of the [High-Grade Spirit Serum] doses administered by Emery. Ulong seemed content to spend his days indulging in eating and sleeping, showing little enthusiasm for coaching sessions. His ravenous appetite even depleted the academyʼs food supplies, prompting Emery to dip into his own spirit stone reserves to replenish them.

Teaching became an arduous task, particularly when faced with students who exhibited no desire to learn. Faced with this dilemma, Klea proposed a simple yet ingenious solution.

”We can reach out to his parents,”
