Chapter 1959: Next Realm

Emery spent hours in a meditative state, meticulously working to extinguish the heated flames from the newly acquired spirit energy. With each moment of concentration, he sought to consolidate the essence within his core. As the process unfolded, he could feel an overwhelming surge of power coursing through him.

When he deemed the consolidation complete, Emery decided to assess the transformation by checking his updated statistics:

The displayed stats revealed that Emeryʼs battle power and soul force were now on par with a grand magus. In fact, his soul force exceeded the threshold required for cultivating the power of cosmos, setting the stage for a potential breakthrough into the grand magus realm. However, the broken state of his primal core remained a significant obstacle.

Aware that advancing to the grand magus realm would be futile without addressing his core issues, Emery redirected his focus to the newfound solution. The path to recovery lay before him, and by devouring more divine beast, the prospect of reclaiming his full strength became more tangible.

Emery eagerly delved into VIAʼs analysis to find a potential solution to his recovery.

[Found 642 reports of Divine Beast sightings]

These were sightings of creatures reported to have infused with primordial wisp power across the Magus Alliance. Emery was eager to embark on a quest to hunt down these creatures, extracting their essence to aid in his recovery. However, VIA conducted a more detailed analysis, filtering out reports of creatures that were either not yet killed, lacked darkness attributes, or had data older than 10 years. The refined search left him with a more manageable list of 48 creatures.

[Found 3 match, available on the markets]

The prospect of obtaining these creatures filled Emery with hope. With his considerable wealth, he decided to purchase all three and have them delivered to Terra City. Despite the creatures not showing traces of primordial wisp, the cost amounted to a total of 32 million spirit stones. An additional 4 million spirit stones were allocated for the delivery of these dangerous creatures from three different sectors into Terra City.

As for the rest of the creatures, some had been cherished as pets by influential factions while others were revered as ancestral guardians, protectors passed down through generations. The remaining Divine beings were scattered across the vast expanse, awaiting discovery by those with the keen eye and determination to seek them out.

Emery, recognizing the urgency of the situation, engaged a skilled group of hunters to embark on a quest to locate these creatures. While the hunters ventured into the unknown, Emery returned to his apothecary work, brewing potions and concocting elixirs in the tranquil setting of his shop. As he meticulously measured ingredients and stirred cauldrons, the pressing need for additional assistance in the shop weighed on him.

”I really need more help with the shop,” Emery muttered to himself, the realization dawning upon him that the demands of his magical emporium were growing beyond his capacity.

It was as if his plea for help had reached the ears of fate itself, for that very day brought an unexpected visitor to his doorstep. A familiar face greeted him, a wood elf apothecarist with radiant green hair.

The daughter of a Vanyar elder, Helena had previously aided Emery during his time on the Vanyar planet. Her presence in the Golden City was part of an exchange study program between two prestigious institutes, aimed at fostering better relations between their communities. ŗΑŊȪΒĘs̩

”Master Merlin, I finally found you... i came to assist you,” Helena announced with a warm smile, her eyes reflecting both determination and genuine eagerness to contribute.

Emery, pleasantly surprised by her unexpected arrival, questioned her ”Helena, did Senior Agnor, your father, approve of this?”

With unwavering assurance, she replied, ”Of course.” Despite the potential hiccup presented by Helenaʼs wood elf origins, Emery recognized the invaluable expertise she brought to the table. Her profound knowledge of wood elf recipes and skills promised a unique perspective that could significantly enhance the offerings of the Merlin shop. Emery was ready to accept her, but fate once again intervened in the form of another unexpected visitor. Winri Lampard, the apothecarist with the divine flame, entered Emeryʼs workshop with an air of determination. She expressed her eagerness to contribute, citing a desire to repay Emery for saving her life.

”I heard you need more artisans; please let me help you,” Winri declared, her eyes reflecting a genuine sincerity.

Before Emery could respond, Helena, displaying a newfound assertiveness, positioned herself in front of Winri. With confidence, she proclaimed,

”You are too late, Master Merlin has already chosen me.”

Emery observed with surprise as the once reserved and shy individuals had undergone a transformation in their demeanor. The air in the workshop crackled with tension as the two skilled apothecarists locked eyes, each seemingly unwilling to back down.

Winri proved to be no pushover, she met Helenaʼs gaze head-on, she asserted, ”Huh!! I am clearly a better choice than you,”

Caught between two talented artisans with their own unique strengths, Emery realized that a compromise was necessary to maintain harmony in his growing team. Stepping in, he defused the tension.

”If you both promise to work together, I will accept both of you,” Emery declared, his authoritative tone cutting through the brewing conflict.

Empowered by the addition of Helena and Winri to his team, Emery felt a renewed sense of vigor, akin to a lion granted wings. The collaboration between the wood elf with her unique recipes and the apothecarist wielding the divine flame brought a dynamic blend of skills to the Merlin shop. Karin, their existing companion, seamlessly integrated her talents into the mix. Together, this formidable trio embarked on an ambitious project: crafting a groundbreaking pill that could rival Emeryʼs legendary [180 Celestial Meridians].

In the ensuing weeks, the Merlin shop witnessed an unprecedented surge in activity. Emery, riding the wave of success, began contemplating the prospect of finish the third special job. However, his plans took an unexpected turn when he received a message from Chututlu.

The reference to ”that woman” could only mean Hecate. and the message carried an ominous undertone, suggesting that the Kronos were plotting something significant. With the Earth Moon base nearing completion in just two weeks, Emery sensed that the timing was no mere coincidence.

”That damn Kronos,” Emery muttered under his breath. Determined to face the looming threat

”I will give them a proper lesson this time.”
