The Golem Mage

612: Informationz 612: Informationz “And the winner of this battle has finally been decided!

Give it up for the War God Mage Academy!” The referee’s voice echoed across the arena announcing the War God Academy team as the winners,

As those who have turned supporters of the War God Academy erupted into loud cheers, the journey of the black horse was still captivating their spirits.

Lucas could be seen standing proudly in the center of the battle ring, his body adorned with a few cuts and bruises, but nonetheless, he stood tall.

His glaive pierced into the ground, he had to summon his spirit equipment set before he could match the formidable opponent he faced, Maximum Knight, but in the end he had won.

Even though the Vajra Academy tried to frustrate the War God Academy since Alec stepped down their fate seems sealed as it was hard to lose such an advantage the War God Academy team has except all of them were still low rank mages, which ain’t the case.

“I guess we didn’t need Beatrice after all,” Selene casually remarked, a tinge of boredom evident on her face now that the fight had ended.

However, Instructor Jasper perceived her comment as another challenge to his authority and, feeling frustrated, he marched away, seething silently.

“Let’s go celebrate, ladies and gentlemen, because for once, you have truly earned it!” Selene declared swiftly, as her gaze fixated on Phil, the instructor responsible for the team’s financial actions.

It was as if her eyes were warning him in silent determination not to try escaping from paying for the celebrations.

Meanwhile, in the VIP section, the Dean of the War God Academy was seen grinning from one corner of his lips to the other as he walked past the Head Abbot of the Vajra Academy, who was visibly gritting his teeth in frustration and defeat.

The Head Abbot had just lost a valuable treasure to the Dean following their bet, and all he could think about was how all his underhanded plans had backfired, including the unsuccessful attempt to kidnap Alec and Pale.

.

“I would kill that boy if I ever get my hands on him!

Ahhh!” The Head Abbot exclaimed, his desperation overriding any care for his image.

The curtains fell, signalling the conclusion of the main stages of the second round, now only the matches among the losing teams remained to determine their rankings among the lower half of the new great eight academy, before the commencement of the third round,

Where the Bloodline Academy, Battle Mage Academy, Onyx Academy, and the War God Academy would all compete for their positions in the top four.

For the War God Academy, their advancement still felt like a surreal dream.

As none of the Competition Committee members had predicted this outcome, all their attempts to hinder the War God Academy team through changes of rule and venue protection in the second round had backfired.

As the team had proven to be a formidable thorn in their side, due to the presence of their captain Alec.

–

“I wanted to ask you something, please why was I taken off?” Alec began to ask questions as the team gathered in their spacious living room.

His direct question towards her caught Selene off guard, causing her to temporarily struggle to comprehend what he was referring to.

“Wait, are you upset that I made you leave the battle ring?” Selene replied, her brow furrowing in confusion.

“No, it’s not that,” Alec clarified.

“It’s just that the Dean was also communicating with me in my mind, and I’m curious about the reason.” Alec said as he raised his hand to his head

Understanding him now, Selene nodded.

“Ah, that.

It’s called a telepathic message, he probably had you step down to show respect to the Vajra Academy.”

Alec : “¬”

Alec’s expression sank as he tried to absorb Selene’s explanation, but he still looked confused, so Selene felt compelled to delve further into the details.

“Defeating the last member of the Vajra Academy wouldn’t only cause them to lose face, but it could potentially lead to you gaining a powerful enemy that you’re not prepared to face, while the academy can offer you protection for now, it might not always be enough in a long run as your master is cooped up at the academy not daring to enter the Abyss,” Selene revealed.

She continued, her tone serious,

“By voluntarily stepping down after winning four times in a row, you’ve already shown that you possess extraordinary talent.”

“ Coming down when the Head Abbot of the Vajra Academy knows that you could have further humiliated his academy by defeating the last man would actually mitigate his annoyance towards you, considering how you dealt with his students, especially that last move against Yama.”

Alec’s expression transformed from confusion to shock, as Selene emphasised his actions like some war crimes, making him question in his hear which team she stands

“So you’re saying that the leader of the Vajra Academy could have come after me simply because I fairly defeated his students?” he questioned, his mind racing to process what he had just heard.

Selene nodded in affirmation.

“Indeed, he’s not called the petty two-faced Abbot for no reason,” she replied before departing, heading to her room.

Alec thought about it a little before turning his attention to the rest of his team, ensuring that he personally congratulated each member on their victories.

Meanwhile, a seasoned figure with pure white hair levitated gracefully above an active volcano, his legs crossed as he engaged in profound cultivation, while nine blazing fire orbs orbited around him in a mesmerizing display.

Suddenly, a massive portal scar, seemingly seared by flames, materialized before him.

As a youthful figure traversed the fiery gap, prompting the cultivated man to open his eyes.

“Ah, Ignis!

Tell me, what news do you bring an old man this time?” inquired the old man.

“Don’t let your emotions flare, for the information I bear might be personal for you,” Ignis Blaze cautioned, gazing at the man before him with an air of familiarity,

While the man looked at him, as if they were little things that had the power to perturb or thrill him at his age.

“The Hell Flame variant has reappeared!” Ignis announced, and in that instant, the old man’s body involuntarily trembled.

“Praise be!

It seems the gods are favouring the Blaze Clan once more, tell me swiftly, who is it that has awakened the Hell Flames in our clan?” the man inquired, causing Ignis, who levitated next to him, to chuckle.

“He does not belong to our clan,” Ignis shook his head.

“Ohhh, then find a way to bring this young man into our fold, whether through marriage or offering an enforcer contract i approve it, we can find a means to integrate him into our clan later when he realizes that we are the only clan able to cultivate his variant flame,” the man said with unwavering confidence.

“Well, I’m sorry, Patriarch, but I don’t believe this individual would ever accept such terms,” Ignis interrupted, causing the man, referred to as the Patriarch, to process his words.

In fact, if the members of the ancient Blaze Clan were aware that Ignis spoke so freely with their Patriarch, they would likely be driven to madness.

“Why is that?” the Patriarch questioned.

“Because the current wielder of the hell flames, is your estranged grandson, Alec Gordons,,” Ignis finally revealed, leaving the Patriarch with a look of shock on his face before he shook his head.

“I sent that boy away hoping he would lead a peaceful life, away from all this toxicity, but it seems fate has a way of playing with me, now that he has awakened the Hell Flame, even if he does not seek trouble, trouble shall find him, let us hope he can withstand the onslaught,” the Patriarch mused.

“And Ignis, beware of Aurora.

I know she may be inclined to intervene.

Stop her.

I don’t care what means you employ, just ensure she remains unharmed.”

“No one from my faction should extend a helping hand to him.

The tides are turning, and let’s see if those in the shadows would reveal their greed now,” the Patriarch concluded before closing his eyes and returning to a meditative state.
