The Golem Mage

608: Final Bout 2 608: Final Bout 2 Their skepticism was not unwarranted, considering Alec had just faced three Tier 5 mages before confronting Yama.

However, these were not your run-of-the-mill Tier 5 mages, they were the cream of the crop, the elite starting line-up of the prestigious Vajra Academy.

It was understandable that spectators anticipated Alec’s imminent defeat.

But if Alec surpassed their expectations and continued his remarkable performance by defeating Yama, it wouldn’t just be his endurance that would come into question, but also the strength of the entire Vajra Academy team would also face scrutiny.

This situation would also provide the ordinary academies with yet another opportunity to challenge the committee’s allocation of resources.

Alec’s extraordinary showing would serve as evidence that budgetary support given to the ordinary academies should be increased, as they are already, insinuating that the Great Eight Academies might be losing their touch, that’s why the monk told Yama that this was a fight for their academy honour.

As the audience deliberated the potential outcome of the battle, a significant change manifested within Alec.

Firstly, his fiery red hair began to emit a radiant glow, resembling molten flames.

Simultaneously, the scabbard of Alec’s Changdao underwent a similar transformation.

Captivated by these displays, Alec halted his sand manipulation suspended mid-air, no longer attempting to escape Yama’s assaults.

Instead, his unwavering gaze locked onto Yama, and an unspoken understanding passed between the two combatants.

Both Alec and Yama recognized that the final moments of the fight were rapidly approaching.

Among the members of the Blaze Clan present in the crowd, awe and astonishment swept through their ranks.

Alec’s newfound form surpassed any of their expectations, leaving them completely star struck.

In that monumental moment, Alec had unveiled an unforeseen development, defying all everything they were ever thought.

In fact, the Elders in the VIP section were the most shocked by this new development from Alec.

“A core bloodline…

hair like molten lava…

a blazing aura that engulfs his entire body…

the descent of a true Blaze Clansman, not just looking exactly like his father but also causing shocking achievements like his father did.” The Grand Elder muttered to himself, astonished.

“He’s tapping into his Blaze bloodline, but how is he doing it so easily?

No one has ever awakened their bloodline or Flaming soul beast without reaching the high ranks, but he is already exhibiting signs of awakening his bloodline.”

He listed every sign Alec was exhibiting before pinching himself, unsure if he was dreaming or if he was truly witnessing someone other than Rae and the Patriarch of their clan unlock the Blaze Bloodline transformation before the high rank.

Alec squinted as he noticed several golden hands closing in on him, but with his preparations complete, he remained unfazed.

He bent his legs slightly before launching himself off the sand pool.

Just moments after he left the sand pool he rode like a hover board, a loud boom echoed as a few golden hands struck the sand pool he had been standing on seconds earlier.

“Humph, you won’t win that easily!” Yama sneered, thrusting his fist forward again and sending two more golden hands toward Alec.

Believing Alec was heading straight for him, Yama was prepared to stop him midway.

And with Alec being airborne and no longer supported by the earth element, Yama felt confident he would finally land a solid strike as the two golden hands flew toward Alec.

But as they closed in, bursts of black flame ignited beneath Alec’s feet, giving him a temporary boost as he leapt off the golden palms, narrowly avoiding them.
