Shelter: All-Class Survival

Chapter 12: Temporary ShelterThe stone platform outside Chen Chen’s shelter is only 20cm wide. Even if the beast comes up, it will not exert force. Moreover, the wooden walls and doors of the shelter are very strong, so Chen Chen is relatively safe.

But this does not mean that Chen Chen can accept a beast guarding the door of his shelter, not to mention the damage to the board of the shelter, even the sound of scratching the board makes Chen Chen unbearable.

”The harder it is to survive, the more you need to get enough sleep.”

Immediately, as soon as Chen Chen waved his hand, thousands of bees flew out of the hive and flew towards the beast through the window.

Chen Chen scratched the edge of the window and ordered the bees to sting the feline beast.

The little bees stopped on the beast, and the tail needles stabbed at the beast.

Then Chen Chen saw that the beast started to swing wildly, fell off the stone platform unbalanced, and stepped on the charcoal with one paw. It screamed and ran away in pain.

It’s a pity that this is a small Chinese bee, not a bumblebee. It is impossible for Chen Chen to keep this beast.

Chen Chen checked the bees he sent out, and found that only thirty or so died in this wave, so he took back most of the bees, leaving only a hundred or so to guard outside to prevent the beasts from coming back.

After the little Chinese bee stings a person, no matter what the other party does, it will surely die.

”The claws of beasts are far less flexible than those of humans, and it is even more difficult for bees to clean up when they sting. It’s just that the attack power of the little bees is not enough, and the fur of the beast can offset a lot of damage.”

Moreover, the bee sting of the little bee is not poisonous, so it is okay for beasts to eat pain, but it is destined to not cause much harm.

After dealing with the beast, Chen Chen saw that there was still time, and then started to make the scabbard.

After failing to make a scabbard, Chen Chen felt a little sleepy, so he put out the torch and went to sleep.

At 6:40 in the morning, Chen Chen woke up again. While washing his face and rinsing his mouth, Chen Chen sent bees out to investigate the situation.

After washing and eating breakfast, bees came back one after another to report.

There is a beast 1.5 kilometers away due south. According to the description of the danger of bees, this beast should be the one from last night.

The trouble is, there are also beasts to the east and west of the shelter today, the west being a big threat and the east a little less.

To the southeast, there is a food three kilometers away.

”Since that’s the case, then I’ll honestly do carpentry at the shelter in the morning, and go out in the afternoon to see the situation.”

Chen Chen opened the door and looked out, ”The beast is probably staring at me, and he stayed there all night and didn’t leave. The distance of 1.5 kilometers is still too dangerous.”

Then, in the morning, Chen Chen spent five hours making various items.

He made five scabbards, two of which were successful; two casks, both of which were successful; and a 50% quality thermostat.

What made Chen Chen a little worried was that by noon, the beast in the due south still hadn’t left, and just stayed there.

Simon’s larger beast not only did not leave, but also got closer to the shelter. And the beast to the east was gone.

Chen Chen also sent the photo of the beast he took last night to Xing Kai. Xing Kai is a survival expert in the wild and quickly gave an analysis.

The beast last night was a jaguar of the Panthera genus.

”It seems that building the shelter on the cliff is not without its shortcomings. At least I have one less direction to explore now.”

Chen Chen closed the door and his expression became serious, ”I have to take the initiative, otherwise I won’t even think about going out today.”

The incident happened suddenly last night. Chen Chen randomly selected a thousand or so bees. At this moment, Chen Chen carefully screened and selected some of the bees that were no longer healthy, and let these bees attack and sting the jaguar.

The lifespan of bees will vary according to the division of labor. Some worker bees can live for several months, while others only have a few weeks. Generally, the lifespan of bees that go out to collect honey is shorter.

Most bees will go out to collect honey after three weeks of birth, and die after 9 to 21 days of work. It is the most industrious type of work among bees.

Chen Chen chose such bees this time, about 2,000 of them, and flew to the jaguar together.

When he couldn’t see the bees, Chen Chen could only give general instructions and could not precisely control the behavior of the bees, so after the bees went out, Chen Chen started to make scabbards.

What Chen Chen didn’t expect was that this jaguar was really tough, and after being stung by a bee, it retreated for one kilometer, and returned when the bee left.

Chen Chen received the news that the bees had sent him back, so he gritted his teeth and directly issued a death order, letting the two thousand bees chase the jaguar all the time, and would not stop until they were driven 10 kilometers away.

”It is estimated that if you keep chasing it, you will lose a total of five or six hundred bees, but the queen bee lets go of laying eggs, and she can lay 700 eggs a day. It’s worth it for today’s exploration!”

It took at least an hour for the bees to drive the jaguar away, and Chen Chen was ready to make the scabbard again.

Right at this moment, a private message from Vitality Girl Fucking Sauce came over.

Zaan Maiden’s mother-in-law sauce: Brother Chen, sell me one of your temperature control windows, and I’ll exchange two packs of tissues with you.

Zaan Maiden’s mother sauce: [Tissue: wood pulp tissue, harmless, non-fluorescent, tough and delicate, 200 cigarettes per pack. 】

This is not bad. The leaves that Chen Chen used yesterday were not very good.

However, Chen Chen did not rush to reply, but went to the trade and forum to take a look.

There is a post about this.

[Temperature adjustment window experience report]

Vitality girl Guo Degang: I exchanged the temperature control window from Brother Chen and used it for one night. Now I will tell you about the experience of using it.

The vitality girl Guo Degang: The first is the appearance. There are grooves and metal buckles around the window, which can be firmly buckled to the window frame, and the degree of firmness is not worse than the original. [Side view of temperature adjustment window.jpg]

The vitality girl Guo Degang: The second is the main body of the window, in the middle is a wooden grille with interlaced wooden bars with apertures. The grille is irregular in shape, and the temperature adjustment should be based on these structures. 【Front view of temperature control window.jpg】

Vitality girl Guo Degang: It seems that in our modern society, there is no such thing as pure mechanical structure of NB to achieve temperature regulation.

Vitality girl Guo Degang: At first, I pressed the window upside down, and the cold wind swished into the shelter, and the temperature dropped much faster than the night before. Later, I found out that it was wrong. After installing it in reverse, it was much better. After lighting a fire for a while to let the temperature rise, I put out the fire and went to sleep. Last night was not bad, at least I didn’t wake up from the cold, but it was still cold.

Vitality girl Guo Degang: Generally speaking, this thing is still very useful, but it is not as good as a quilt, but it is not a loss to buy it. I feel that the temperature difference between day and night is getting bigger and bigger, and there must be multiple thermal measures in the back to make it work.

Mechanical tentacles: It looks good, after all, it increases the temperature of the whole room.

Murder is like Ma Pleasant Goat: The key is that this window can still be used during the day, but the quilt can’t deal with the heat.

…

Not long after this post was posted, I wanted to come to see him after seeing this post.

Chen Chen was about to chat privately with his mother sauce, but saw a message from his mother sauce from Zaan Maiden.

Zaan Maiden’s mother-in-law sauce: Brother Chen, why don’t you change it with me? Everyone’s stockings have been scratched by the bushes. If you don’t believe me, I’ll send them to you~

Chen Chen: ”Ah...”
