Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1063: Nightmare Plan (2)

”How much longer before the completion of this Nightmare Void Server?”

The equilateral chamfered tetrahedron in the center of the floor was a Void Server, and Jacob called it the Nightmare Void Server because it was a crucial component of the Nightmare Plan!

The Mechanical Insect on Jacob’s shoulder spoke in a static voice, which belonged to the Black Mechanic, ”The Nightmare Void Server is 93% completed, and it should be finished within 500 hours!”

Jacob’s eyes flickered, his thoughts unknown as he nodded, ”Good work. With this void server, we should be able to cover our traces from SAAI and Undying Will.”

”Indeed, sir. However, the Void Servers lost their meaning within the Legendary Plains, with Spirit Mechanics or Machina Units working behind the scenes. However, void servers can help us distract them without giving away my real identity. But as I previously mentioned, the chances of the final phase of the Nightmare Plan succession are only 1%.” Black Mechanic replied.

Jacob didn’t seem surprised by Black Mechanic’s last statement as he glanced at the Void Server.

”Well, as long as there is a chance, that’s enough reason for us to try. Just like I never expected I would have such a technology under my grasp, and one day I would be creating a void server, which is the top secret of your race.” Jacob stated impassively with a hint of elation.

Technology always fascinates Jacob, especially technology that can grant him control and power.

After subduing the Black Mechanic, Jacob’s knowledge has increased by leaps and bounds, not to mention that he was close to reaching his objective.

”Alright, once the Void Server is complete, prepare for its launch. I’m going into seclusion for some time. Once I return, we’ll initiate the Nightmare Plan.”

Jacob stated, and the Mechanical Insect flickered its wings in acknowledgment and flew away while joining its counterparts again.

However, Jacob didn’t leave and instead entered the Dreamscape Nightmare Realm, where Nyx seemed to be waiting for him with a hint of resentment in her starry eyes. She was clearly not happy about what had happened earlier when Jacob suddenly lost consciousness.

Jacob, like always, ignored the indignant Nightmare and said, ”I hope you were paying attention just now. The Nightmare Plan is about to initiate, and I don’t want any mishap on your part since this whole plan revolves around you.”

Nyx pursed her lips, but she still nodded, ”I know, you don’t have to worry about it since my ’social life’ depends on it. However, I’m still not sure if this is a good idea since I could really end up hurting you if things go wrong.”

Jacob coldly looked at Nyx before he said, ”I don’t need you to worry about me. Besides, as long as you don’t mess up, I don’t have anything to worry about, right? Furthermore, with that hunter on my tail, I have to take this risk, or your life will also be in jeopardy.”

At that moment, Jacob’s eyes glow brilliantly with a hint of madness, ”But if we succeed, not only will I get rid of that annoying hurdle, but in the future, I can turn the tables on him.

”He has something that belonged to me, and to retrieve it, I need to succeed in this, and the Legendary Plains is the only place option since Upper Plains would be extremely dangerous.

”Here, I can get rid of anyone as long as they don’t exceed the middle plains’ limitations, so the chances of the Nightmare Plan working are above 60%. So, I’m saying it don’t mess it up!”

Without waiting for Nyx’s reply, Jacob exited the Dreamscape Nightmare Realm, leaving the seething Nightmare behind.

”Would it hurt you to be nice for once!?!” Nyx’s rageful voice reverberated in the Nightmare Realm, before a mosquito-like muttering drifted in the empty hall, ”I’m worried about you, damn it!”

After leaving the Nightmare Realm, Jacob exited the Mechanized Sovereign Tower and appeared on the edge of the infinite space.

The reason for Jacob’s choosing this location was simple. He wanted to evolve his fire magic core with the Yang Flame, and because of the uncertainty related to the mystical flame, he didn’t want to take the risk of damaging the Mechanized Sovereign Tower, or worse, burn the whole place down.

Although the infinite space has a suppressive effect on anything unrelated to Jacob, he still didn’t want to take that risk.

At that moment, Jacob sat down cross-legged. Then he flipped his bony palm, and a transparent crystal orb, seemingly carrying a miniature galaxy that burned while pulsing with golden-white light, and surrounded by fiery threads of kaleidoscopic light, appeared.

Although Jacob shouldn’t feel anything, the moment the orb, which sealed the Yang Flame within, appeared, he felt intense heat and a mystical intent emitting from the orb that even his Eyes of Judge couldn’t see, though.

”Cursed Immortality!” Jacob summoned the cursed book as he was ready to move to the next step of his plan, which was to absorb this Yang Flame.

Jacob knew that as long as he could absorb this Yang Flame and evolve his Fire Magic Core into a Yang Core, he would be able not only to control the Yang Flame, but also the Yin Ice, which he couldn’t before.

With the power of Yin and Yang under his control, Jacob would have another trump card under his sleeve, and he could further solidify his plan to confront the Hunter!

”Hehehe~ what can I do for you?” Immortika’s playful yet eerie voice sounded.

Jacob ignored the cursed book shenanigans and got to the point, ”I’m ready to absorb the Yang Flame. So, what do I need to do?”

”Hah, and here I thought you would be in a good mood to have some chat with an old friend. Well, it wasn’t like I expected much from you...”

”Cut the crap and get on to the point!” Jacob coldly cut off Immortika as the cursed book always got on his nerves.

”Alright, alright. I’ll give you two choices. First, make a wish about ’merging the Yang Flame with your Fire Magic Core without any risks,’ and it won’t cost you a lot since you have all the basic conditions down and have all the items in hand. Oh, if you don’t want to suffer, it’ll naturally cost you extra.

”The second choice is to do it ’manually’ and you do not have to use your Lifespan, but then there’s a chance your soul will burn into oblivion. However, this method also has a benefit, which depends on your willpower and whether you’re willing to take the risk.

”Hehehe, so what is your choice? I’m good with any of it, not to mention if you choose the latter, it’ll be more entertaining~!”
