Lewd System: Every Scream and Moan is EXP

Chapter 253: Chapter 253: Sit Down Like A Dog

Jax had thrown his sword with a power fueled purely by rage and hate. One motion. One throw. One kill.

He moved slowly toward the body pinned against the glass wall while the rest of the room still couldn’t process what had just happened.

The holy church’s supreme leader was gone in a flash. One second breathing. The next, a decoration.

Jax reached him. Gripped the sword handle still buried in the Pope’s forehead and twisted.

The crack of bone echoed through the room.

”The show is officially over.” His voice carried across the stunned silence. ”Now let’s return every single favor. Exactly as it was given.”

He raised his hand to the Pope’s face and playfully traced the line of blood dripping from the wound. Down the forehead. Past the eyes. Along the cheeks. Two red streams following the exact path tears would take.

He turned to Lysandra.

”Headmistress, can I count these as tears? Should I count them as payback for what dripped from Lilith’s eyes?”

Lysandra couldn’t respond. Her cold demeanor, the armor she had worn for decades, was shattered. And as always, the only person capable of doing that was standing right in front of her with blood on his fingers.

”What... what have you... done?”

Jax smiled. Yanked his sword free. The Pope’s body slid off the glass and crumpled to the floor.

”I know I lost it. I regret it now actually.” He wiped the blade on the Pope’s robes. ”My stupid anger made it a quickie. I should have tortured him more.”

He kicked the corpse casually, rolling it onto its side like someone adjusting furniture they didn’t care about.

The Martial Academy head turned to Lysandra. His voice was confused, almost helpless. ”What in the world is happening? Everything’s just—”

Jax answered instead. His boot pressed down on the Pope’s back.

”Nothing complex, sir. The world has a simple rule. You should only commit as much deceit, betrayal, and sin as your body has the strength to endure when the bill comes due. Because karma spares absolutely no one.”

He applied more pressure. ”You forgot your limits. So today, I am your karma.”

He looked around the room.

”You all saw how my student was treated. Shackled. Drained. Made to cry in chains. So isn’t it my duty to repay them for their kindness?”

Then his tone changed. The playfulness evaporated. What replaced it wasn’t anger. It was something older. Primordial.

”I have returned the token of gratitude to every single one who tried to steal the light from her face. They dared to take away her smile. So I took everything from them.”

A pause.

”Unfortunately, they don’t exist anymore.”

His eyes swept the room. ”The hands involved in this crime are almost all gone. Except for one. Still sitting right here.”

His gaze locked onto the Dark Mage Academy’s cult leader.

For the first time in his life, the man was sweating. Genuinely sweating. He couldn’t believe it. The most composed figure in the room, the man who had survived decades of political warfare through cunning alone, was perspiring because of a boy.

But he didn’t fold outwardly. Instead he leaned forward with a forced grin.

”Boy, don’t think you can do whatever you want. You killed the Pope because he was weak. He couldn’t dodge because his mind was elsewhere. But if you want to try the same with me, come. I’ll show you what a real power difference looks like.”

Jax smiled back. ”You misunderstand. How could I kill you? No, not right now.”

He shifted his foot from the Pope’s back to his head. Resting his boot directly on the skull.

”If I wanted to kill you, this would have been your head.”

The cult leader’s grin flickered.

”But no, you still have time. After all, you have to follow whatever I say to the people first.”

The cult leader laughed. Short. Dismissive. ”Follow you? And why would I? What do you want?”

”Nothing much. Just convey to the world that you killed the Pope.”

The room went dead silent. Every breath stopped. Every thought froze.

Jax continued as if he had just asked someone to pass the salt.

”Tell the world that the Pope was the main culprit. That he had been seeking evil powers from your cult members without your knowledge until now. Tell them the Saintess was right about him. That he was the very evil growing inside the holy walls.”

He paused.

”Not only that, he wanted Lilith’s corpse for his own purposes. He planned to use it to awaken the demon Zagan, and in return, gain immortality. You connected the dots. Did some digging. And discovered the truth.”

He shrugged.

”And to make it more dramatic, add whatever you want. Take advantage of the situation. People will believe anything right now.”

Silence hung in the room. Because every person present knew he wasn’t joking.

The cult leader’s forced composure returned. ”Do you even hear yourself? You want me to claim your crime? And why in the hell would I follow your command?”

Jax’s expression didn’t change. ”Because I know your involvement in this scenario. And the things I just said, demon Zagan, Lilith’s body, doesn’t it all sound a bit too familiar to you?”

The cult leader gulped. Because Jax knew. He knew it wasn’t a fabricated story. It was the cult leader’s actual plan. Every detail. Every step.

”I deliberately hid that part of the recording from the broadcast.” Jax’s voice dropped to something quiet and final. ”Because I needed you alive. And your silence right now tells me you understand that your life rests on my palm.”

He raised a finger.

”One wrong move and the whole world becomes your enemy. The peace you’ve maintained by being nice and resourceful to the people sitting on these thrones? It ends the moment their own citizens revolt and demand action.”

Another finger.

”And the demons won’t sit still either. Not when they find out what you possess of their lord Zagan.”

The cult leader said nothing. His silence screamed everything. How vulnerable he was. How cornered. How completely outmaneuvered by someone half his age.

The Martial Academy head slammed his fist down. ”Are you treating all of us as fools?! Confessing his crimes in front of us and thinking we’ll just let it slide?! That he can fabricate whatever story he wants?!”

He stood.

”I don’t know what you’re hiding between you two, but I will tell the truth to the people!”

Jax looked at him with the patience of a man explaining basic math to a child who refused to count.

”Then go on. Tell them. Tell them I killed the Pope. And then what? No one will dare oppose what I did. I did what needed to be done. And as you’ve just witnessed, I have the Saintess backing me. That’s a practical divine shield.”

He tilted his head.

”I’m trying to avoid unnecessary wars and internal conflict here. And you’re in the same position as him. Both your professors targeted Lilith. First at the ball. Then at the tournament.”

His voice turned flat.

”So sit down. Like a dog. And watch what happens.”

The room was silenced. Every mouth sealed shut. Every argument dismantled before it could form.

Jax walked toward Lilith. Sword in hand. And this time, not a single person in the room dared to interfere.

He cut through her shackles. One by one. The chains hit the floor. The metallic runic plate clattered away from her chest. Her body slumped forward and he caught her.

He lifted her up. One arm beneath her knees. The other supporting her back. Princess carry. Her head resting against his chest.

All of this had been orchestrated by Jennifer. Every piece. Every timing. Every broadcast.

Jennifer was a perfect businesswoman. She would never let an opportunity for gain slip through her fingers. She helped Jax, yes. But on one condition. A trade. He would help her gain total control of the holy church.

The Pope held supreme power within its walls. And staying beside him, Jennifer had to be constantly cautious. His ability to read intentions and detect lies made every plot she crafted a risk. Every scheme a potential death sentence.

So he needed to die. Not just die. He needed a death that left no viable replacement for the supreme head position except Jennifer herself.

And now, with the broadcast still fresh in the world’s memory, with the Saintess being the one who opened everyone’s eyes, with Goddess Benigore’s will channeled through her voice, the followers would believe blindly. There was no other candidate. No other voice with that kind of authority.

Jennifer had played everyone. But Jax had played her right back by getting exactly what he needed in the exchange.

He was walking toward the exit with Lilith in his arms when the Vampire King spoke. The man who had been silent through every confrontation. Every threat. Every murder.

”With this kind of attitude, you will ruin your own life. You are making enemies of all of us. And if you—”

Jax cut him off without turning around.

”You’ve answered your own question, Your Majesty. Yes. You’re absolutely right. I can destroy my life with my actions without a second thought. Just like today.”

He stopped at the threshold.

”When I didn’t hold back a single fraction of cruelty in tearing my own life apart, do you genuinely believe I’ll leave you with a single place to hide? Or a throne to sit on?”

He stepped over the unconscious knight.

”I will leave you with absolutely nothing. And nowhere.”
