Lord of the Truth

Chapter 2132 Obstructions

Jin gathered his thoughts, steadying himself despite the overwhelming presence before him, and spoke quickly, his words flowing one after another as if afraid the opportunity might slip away, ”When I first arrived at Sky Opening City and learned about the Fifth Path, I was completely fascinated by the existence of such a new and mysterious cultivation path, something that no one seemed to truly understand or document. So I decided to study it in depth, even though my specialization lies in martial arts, and realistically, I wasnʼt expecting to gain any direct benefit from analyzing it so thoroughly.”

”...But during my research, I discovered a major flaw. Users of that path lack specialization in laws that would allow them to construct powerful techniques for offense, defense, or even perception. There are no refined external techniques either. Even something as basic as flight, which is considered a natural and almost instinctive ability for other World Cataclysm cultivators, is extremely difficult for them to achieve.”

”...However, at the same time, I also discovered a significant advantage. The elasticity and resilience of their cells provide an enormous range of control over their size, their structure, and the way energy flows and behaves within them. Thatʼs when the idea struck me... to use this very advantage to compensate for the flaw, to turn weakness into strength!”

Jin spoke with visible pride, his voice rising slightly, still unable to believe that he was presenting such thoughts directly in front of Lord Human and the Cosmic Elder, figures he had only ever heard about in distant rumors.

”A good chain of thought.” Robin nodded calmly, clearly approving of the direction, ”In fact, Iʼve considered this issue before and spent some time preparing potential solutions. Filling this gap would significantly increase the overall strength of my empires.”

Robin pulled out several panels, his movements smooth and practiced, and began injecting them with streams of information, filling them rapidly with structured knowledge, then passed them to Jin, ”Youʼll find here ideas for seventeen martial arts specifically tailored for the body. The general frameworks are there, along with the foundational concepts and some suggested approaches for execution. You can complete and refine the rest on your own, right?”

”This...?” Jin received the panels in shock, his hands trembling slightly as he held them, unable to believe what he was being given so casually.

”As for that amplification technique of yours...” Robin stroked his chin for a few moments in thought, then took out a small panel and an epic pen. Without hesitation, he began sketching an extremely complex design at high speed, his hand moving with absolute confidence, as if he were merely signing his name rather than constructing something intricate.

He then placed the pen aside and handed the panel to Jin as well, ”Seeing a nearly complete version of your technique allowed me to identify one of the core issues that limit body-based martial arts. I believe this solution should address it effectively... apply it to your technique and restructure it accordingly. You can also use this panel to resolve certain structural problems in your other arts.”

”...?!” Jin received the panel and immediately began examining it like a madman, his focus completely consumed.

If the theory he was seeing right now were applied, he would be able to fully exploit the elasticity of cells, controlling entire muscle groups to expand and contract at precise levels without causing ruptures, just like what had happened to Drok before.

And the degree of expansion would undoubtedly increase further with continued experimentation and refinement!

”...” Jin slowly raised his head again, staring at Robin with overwhelming shock, admiration, and disbelief, his mind struggling to keep up.

So this was how Great Truth Chosen operated...

The gap between them was simply enormous, almost insurmountable.

Thud

Jin suddenly dropped to his knees without hesitation, his voice filled with urgency and sincerity, ”Please, accept me as your disciple!!”

”Hmm,” Robin scratched his head awkwardly, slightly embarrassed. The one kneeling before him was dozens of times older than himself, perhaps even more, which made the situation somewhat strange.

Then he clapped once, bringing a sense of closure to the moment, ”Your name is Jin, right? Stand up.” He leaned back against the side of his seat again, his posture relaxed, ”I donʼt take disciples that easily. Continue working hard in the city, and weʼll see what happens in the future.”

”...?”

Jin lifted his face, his eyes wide and his mouth slightly open, completely stunned by the response,

”Thank you for not rejecting me outright!!”

Then he quickly stood up again, as if afraid the opportunity might vanish if he lingered.

”...” Robin blinked slightly, clearly taken aback by the reaction, then let out a soft chuckle before turning his attention toward Shaddad, ”Alright, what about you? Youʼre the only one left now, so donʼt try to change the subject again.” ”...” Shaddad took a long, steady breath, gathering himself, then stepped forward and pulled out a massive amount of papers and books from his ring- thud-they piled up into a towering stack that nearly reached Robinʼs height once fully revealed, filling the space between them.

”Hmm?” Robin raised an eyebrow upon seeing the sheer volume, his curiosity immediately piqued, then turned his gaze back toward Shaddad, waiting for him to explain what all of this was about.

”Please, accept this.” Shaddad said, his tone respectful yet slightly tense, then extracted a soul sphere from his forehead and gently passed it toward Robin, careful not to disrupt its structure, ”Iʼm not particularly skilled in matters of the soul, so I canʼt transfer everything I know about this subject through this method... but youʼll find a general overview inside. The rest of the details, the deeper parts, are all documented in those books. Please, tell me what you

think.”

Robin received the soul sphere without a word, his fingers closing around it lightly, and then he fell into complete silence for long minutes...

That silence gradually grew heavier, almost oppressive, spreading across the area like an invisible weight pressing down on everyone present. Amid that lingering and somewhat unsettling stillness between the three others... the first one to break was Shaddad.

”Ahem,” Shaddad coughed lightly, trying to ease the tension, then turned toward the Cosmic Elder with an awkward, slightly forced smile, ”So... card games, huh?”

””

By that moment, Robin had already opened his eyes, his brows tightly furrowed in deep concentration. He stood up abruptly and began flipping through the books and papers in what appeared to be a random manner, his hands moving quickly as if searching for something specific hidden among the massive stack. ”Heh-” The Cosmic Elder let out a long sigh when he realized that this process would take some time, then finally turned his attention toward Shaddad, ”Has Sky Opening City in the Mid sector 99 been experiencing noticeable disruptions lately, or are these issues being resolved before they ever reach your level?”

”Me?” Shaddad was visibly startled that the Cosmic Elder was addressing him directly, his posture stiffening slightly, but at the same time, he almost felt like collapsing under the pressure because he genuinely did not know the answer. He had spent the past decades in nearly uninterrupted seclusion, isolating himself for long stretches of time. He would only emerge briefly to retrieve something specific or to follow up on a particular matter, then immediately return to his seclusion again, fully focused on solving the issue related to the

Nexus State.

Everything he knew about the cityʼs current condition consisted of scattered fragments, incomplete pieces of information, such as the number of Truth Chosen present or short updates about specific developments he had personally chosen to monitor... nothing beyond that.

No mention of any ”disruptions” had ever reached him during his absence.

If it were something significant, something truly serious, he would have certainly been informed immediately without delay... but how could it not be serious if the Cosmic Elder himself was asking about it?

”M-maybe I can answer His Excellency, the Cosmic Elder.” Jin raised his hand slightly and pointed at himself hesitantly, clearly unsure if it was his place to

speak.

Shaddad immediately began nodding at him vigorously, almost desperately, as if silently urging him to take over.

”In response to His Excellency, the Cosmic Elder... there have indeed been strange disruptions occurring.” Jin replied, his brows drawn tightly together, his expression reflecting deep concentration as he tried to recall every detail accurately, ”What Iʼve personally observed includes delays in the delivery of certain resources, and in some cases, those resources donʼt arrive at all...” ”...there have been researchers disappearing under mysterious and unexplained circumstances, without leaving behind any clear traces... several research and development centers have exploded suddenly, without any confirmed cause...” ”...there are also persistent issues with the supply of paper materials and documentation, along with other irregularities that seem small individually, but when combined...”

He paused briefly, then continued with a heavier tone, ”...they have collectively slowed the cityʼs progress by at least twenty years out of the past fifty.” ”Something like that has been happening?!” Shaddad asked in shock, his eyes widening as the realization began to sink in, ”Why wasnʼt I informed about any

of this?”

”There is no evidence that any of this is the result of deliberate interference.” Jin briefly turned his head toward Shaddad, then looked back toward the

Cosmic Elder, ”Every investigation conducted so far concludes that these are either isolated accidents or unintended problems... simple misfortune, or what people would call fate.”

The Cosmic Elder fell silent for a moment, his expression unreadable, as if weighing something far beyond what had just been said... then he slowly

nodded.
