Lord of the Truth

Chapter 2130 The Truth Chosen Ones

Whoosh

The two shadows rapidly approached the peak of the mountain, slicing through the air with controlled speed, their trajectories steady and precise despite the violent winds that raged at such altitude, then immediately began descending in a calm and as non-disruptive manner as possible, carefully suppressing any shockwave or disturbance that might disrupt the surroundings.

Step Step

The moment their feet touched the ground, both of them quickly bowed without the slightest hesitation, their movements synchronized and respectful, and the larger of the two spoke, his voice firm yet filled with deference, ”We greet Lord Robin, we greet the Cosmic Elder. We hope we have not interrupted anything important.”

”Shaddad, itʼs been a long time.” Robin visibly relaxed the moment he

recognized his second disciple approaching, a faint sense of ease returning to his posture, as this would most likely distract the Cosmic Elder from continuing his attempt to grab his hair again.

Then, almost immediately, as Robinʼs gaze shifted toward the person standing behind Shaddad, his expression subtly changed, becoming slightly more serious and attentive...

He was a human of moderate height, his build balanced and composed, wearing loose yet well-tailored, light-colored clothing that gave off a refined and disciplined impression. The upper half of his face was partially covered by light brown hair with a faint yellow tint, strands falling naturally over his features, while the lower half revealed a defined jawline and handsome, sharp facial structure.

But what truly caught Robinʼs attention was neither his outward appearance nor the mere fact that he stood in such a restricted location without

hesitation... but rather what he was cultivating deep within himself.

Robin could practically sense the Law of Truth emanating from his body, subtle yet undeniable, like a faint resonance that could not be concealed. That person was unquestionably different, without the slightest doubt, and not just any Truth Chosen either... he had reached the level of a Sage.

That meant this person had reached the third stage of Truth, just like Shaddad himself, a level that few could ever hope to achieve.

And setting all of that aside... that human was looking at him in a strange way at this very moment, a rather suspicious and intense way that did not match the calmness of his posture.

Once Robin confirmed all of this, he casually gestured toward the newcomer and asked, ”Whoʼs this brother?”

”Jin!!” the young man responded immediately, his voice filled with energy and urgency, cutting Shaddad off before he could even speak, ”I am Jin, a Truth Chosen specializing in martial arts and energy pathways, and currently one of the elders of Sky Opening City!” Then he took another step forward without hesitation, his expression resolute, ”Please accept me as your disciple!!”

”Hey!” Shaddad lightly slapped the back of Jinʼs head, his tone half-annoyed, half-amused, ”I only became a disciple barely two centuries ago, and you already want the title of junior brother that easily?” Then he turned toward Robin and bowed slightly, his expression apologetic, ”I apologize for his behavior, I did not bring him here for this purpose.”

”...” Robin remained silent for a moment, his gaze lingering on Jin as he carefully observed him.

He finally understood those strange looks and the unsteady movement of his pupils... they were not hostility or suspicion, but rather pure admiration, the kind that bordered on obsession.

”May I ask what brought a distinguished third-stage Truth Chosen to work in my Sky Opening City of his own accord?” Robin asked, a faint, controlled smile appearing on his lips as he spoke.

”Master, your information is somewhat outdated.” Shaddad intervened respectfully, his tone composed, ”Besides me and Jin, there are currently 10 Truth Chosen in Sky Opening City in the Mid sector 99, 7 Truth Chosen in Sky Opening City in the Mid sector 100 under senior brother Jabba, and 4 Truth Chosen from the Young Sector who joined Sky Opening City alongside Her Highness Zara.”

”...?” Robin raised his eyebrows slightly in clear surprise, the scale of what he was hearing exceeding his expectations.

”Damn.” The Cosmic Elder was also taken aback, his eyes widening slightly before he turned toward Robin with a strange look, ”Have you become some kind of magnet for people with shining eyes or something?”

”Your Majesty!” Jin quickly stepped forward and interjected, his voice filled with urgency and a barely restrained excitement, ”I personally convinced three of those Truth Chosen to come and work for the sky opening cities, and I can assure you with complete confidence that I will bring you at least three more in the near future. This is only the beginning!”

”What is going on here?” Robin asked in clear surprise, his brows furrowing slightly as he tried to process the situation, ”Why are all these Truth Chosen coming to me of their own accord?” Then he turned his gaze toward Shaddad, his tone becoming more focused, ”Did we ever announce a need for Truth Chosen or offer any kind of rewards or incentives?”

Robin was asking while his heart was beating faster than usual, not out of annoyance or suspicion, but out of a mixture of astonishment, curiosity, and a quiet sense of excitement... after all, who wouldnʼt want such a number of Truth Chosen willingly gathering under them without even being asked?

”No, Master,” Shaddad shook his head calmly, his expression steady, ”They began coming on their own after the announcement of the Cosmic Elder spread across the universe.”

”Hehe, no need to thank me.” The Cosmic Elder laughed loudly as he patted Robinʼs shoulder in a carefree manner, clearly pleased with himself, then casually began rearranging the playing cards again... and in the process, quietly burned the Seated King card as if it had never existed in the first place. Robin, however, remained completely focused on the matter at hand, his expression growing more thoughtful and serious, ”...As far as I know, Truth Chosen prefer solitude and secrecy above all else. Even the Chamber of Truth in the Soul Society was avoided by nearly everyone, treated as a place to stay away from unless absolutely necessary. What exactly changed?” Then he narrowed his eyes slightly at Shaddad, his tone turning more probing, ”...They all took the oath, right?”

”Of course!” Shaddad replied immediately without hesitation, his voice firm and

certain.

”Your Majesty,” Jin called out again, stepping forward with renewed seriousness, his expression becoming more intense, ”...what you just said is precisely the reason most of us chose to gather under your wing.”

”...?” Robin frowned even more deeply, clearly intrigued now, but remained silent, waiting for Jin to explain further without interrupting him. And Jin continued, his voice carrying both long-held frustration and a sense of relief at finally speaking openly, ”A Truth Chosen is always forced into hiding, always searching for a patron to survive under. And when something happens to that patron, whether they fall or turn against us, we are forced to flee and search for another one somewhere else...”

”...a patron who protects us on the surface, yet exploits us at the same time. Nothing in this world is given freely. Everything comes with a price, and that price is often far heavier than it should be.”

Then he pointed at himself, his expression turning visibly bitter, his tone tightening slightly, ”...I myself worked under a millennial empire in the Mid sector 84. They would humiliate me every time I requested resources for my experiments, treating me as if I were begging, and at the same time, they would insult me harshly if I delayed even slightly in delivering the results they demanded from me.”

”...This continued throughout my entire life, for tens of thousands of years without change. Even after I broke through and became a third-stage Truth Chosen, reaching a level that should have earned respect, it made no difference

to them...”

He paused briefly, then his tone shifted, becoming steadier, ”...until you finally appeared, Lord Human, and restored my hope in what it means to be a Truth Chosen... no, not just mine, you restored hope for all of us who had long given

up.”

”...The mere appearance of your name in the Soul Society would shake everyone and bring all dealings to an abrupt halt. People would abandon their negotiations, their transactions, everything... just to hear even the smallest. piece of news about you.”

”Even within that millennial empire where I served, your name echoed constantly through the halls, accompanied by exaggerated praise and endless rumors... about the man who produces astonishing innovations and effortless solutions at an unbelievable pace, as if such things required no effort at all, as if he were simply boiling eggs.”

”... Your widespread fame pushed me to return to the Soul Society after I had completely lost faith in it, and to re-enter the Room of Truth where I had once worked and abandoned long ago.”

”And I wasnʼt alone...” he added, his voice lowering slightly, ”dozens of Truth

Chosen did the same. All of us were searching for you, hoping to find you there,

hoping to confirm with our own eyes whether those stories were real... but you never appeared.”

He shook his head lightly, a faint trace of helplessness crossing his face, ”So we remained where we were, continuing our lives as before, while occasionally returning to the Chamber of Truth, holding onto the faint hope that one day you might enter it by chance.”

”This continued... until the Cosmic Elderʼs announcement.” Then he revealed a strange smile, one filled with relief, certainty, and anticipation, ”Only then did we finally learn of a tangible place where you could truly be found... the Sacred Covenant Cosmic Academy.””
